I noticed a lot of the negative reviews are about the water quality. This is not a pool, so the water is not clear; it has vegetation; and stocked fish control for mosquitoes. Since we already read about this online, we were neither surprised nor grossed out. It was a fun day outdoors! The office staff were super warm, hospitable, and accommodating. Even as we added to our food order last minute (because I saw how active the kids were being... they were ravenous!), they flexed with our request. The pizza was hot; the fruit was refreshing. We felt so well cared for! Safety-wise, I'm glad we brought older kids, mostly very strong swimmers, and vigilant parents. The course is large, and there are spots that are invisible from the lifeguards' posts. We had to initiate with the lifeguards a few times because they weren't giving us any information/direction. (eg: Can we start? Where do we start? Any rules we need to know? Are you still on break, or can we go in again?) They did not seem to have a system for the lifejackets. They were sleepy and eager to clock out. This is the first open weekend of the season; I trust they will establish consistent group protocols as the summer goes on. Instead of being friendly and helpful, several employees came across as short-tempered, rude, and irritated whenever guests had questions. Customer service is a huge part of any attraction, and it felt like some staff members didn't want to be there at all. The park itself is a cool concept and the quarry setting is impressive, but management seriously needs to address the staffing shortages and customer service issues. Paying premium prices only to spend a large portion of the day standing in line and dealing with unfriendly employees left a very disappointing impression. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

We asked the front desk lady which she recommends and she said the unlimited ride pass, it comes with a car (8$ worth of tokens in arcade) we asked "is every ride open" she said yes absolutely! Great. We paid $36 per kid totaling around 75$ after taxes. We walked out to the rides (they have 8) and there was ONE attendant to the whole park. I finally noticed a man standing around wearing an employee shirt, so I walked over to him and said "is this ride not open" he looked pissed and said "yeah". He unlocked everything, doesn't say a word just pointed to the go carts to our kids. Our kids do the ride and we go to talk to the rest of the rides. Again NO WORKING EMPLOYEES TO BE FOUND. So I go back to the one working attendant and ask"hey is anyone working" he responded "there's only two of us, when I'm done here I can help you" meaning they have two attendants doing a ride at a time for everyone at the park and you are expected to stand and wait 20+ mins in hopes a employee comes up or unless you actually tell them every single time you want to go on a ride. We immediately head inside to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude and condescending. Said absolutely no refund. He would not send any other employees to work and cover the rides because he had four employees working, what later comes out is that two of those employees were at the batting cages not the actual rides. So if you want to pay top dollar to stand in a line waiting for employees to show up when they are finished with one ride, then this is your place. The one employee working the bumper boats was just absolutely miserable and being super rude to the kids, I'm talking like 6 or 7 years old yelling at them. He yelled at one for parking his boat in an open slot, apparently it wasn't the right spot to the worker, which fine if it needs to be moved but you don't have to yell at a kid to get him to move it over two spots. We didn't plan ahead with a ton of notice, our decision was pretty last-minute, so we weren't 100% prepared. It doesn't look like much at the end of a sketchy dirt road lines with foxtails & weeds, but an oasis of aqua blue water awaits inside! Cabanas were already sold out, and I didn't know you were expected to bring your own shade & chairs, but we made the best of it. Admission is a little spendy, and the wake boarding portion is an add-on. Lockers are available for rent and there is food and drinks & even adult bevs for sale. Lifejackets are required for ALL entering the water and are provided by the park. Water shoes are essential, IMO, the hot springs feel of the water just made the obstacle course so slick. Seeing all the middle-aged parents out there, wooo buddy, some ACLs/MCLs - all the CLs - were straining this day! We had a blast, and so did our 14yo & 16yo, and if you know *anything* about teens, is they made everything seem like it's just no fun until afterwards LOL. They already said they'd like to go back! Pro tip: bring beach chairs, pop-up or umbrella, and LOTS of sunscreen & some decent water shoes, towels or sandsheet. The only downside was there were TONS of rowdy older teens running & tackling each other. Clearly athletes/football players, they didn't really seems to care that they ran over kids & bumped into other people, as long as they got to body slam each other into the water. So keep your head on a swivel before its your ACL that gets in their way.

The key is to sneak it in but we were being honest people) . I guess since it was in a bag and not a cooler they didn't care. They do let you bring in reusable water bottles. This is a great place to bring your family they have the main obstacle course (not for the weak Lol ) which you'll have to be 48" and taller to participate in, but they also have a less intense one for the little kids ans toddlers. There's a slide and zip lining which is included in the price. We choose Groupon for our entry. They also have the wake boarding for an additional fee. Con and definitely should be evaluated!!! The only problem I had was there was no dress code and for this to be a place for families and people of all ages to be at why are girls walking around with their butts out! I don't mean the swimsuits wedgie but full on thong bikinis around children ! I was disgusted to see that and it was just ok. Like it's a time and a place for everything. Not saying the need full on water suites but decorum and consideration along with respect for others goes along way. I kno you can't make someone wear something different but when you go bowling you have to wear the special shoes right ! They should consider no cheeks out at wake island. Other then that. Lots of good birthday parties there. I like it better than the other trampoline parks. They could do a better job of answering the phone tho. Never is crazy lol also the new hours, 4-8pm in the middle of summer is wild. It used to be a pretty solid place for parents to come work remote while their kids played but apparently that era is over. 4-8 is like the prequel to closing for good.

When we arrived, I was told my toddler could jump while I watched from the sidelines. However, after seeing how chaotic the facility was, there was no way I felt comfortable doing that. Children were running around unsupervised, teenagers were climbing up the slides the wrong way, kids weren't taking turns, and I didn't see staff monitoring any slides. To keep my 23-month-old safe, I ended up paying the additional 50% fee so I could accompany him on the trampoline. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy the party, I spent the entire time chasing and playing alongside my toddler to make sure he didn't get hurt. It was exhausting--I left drenched in sweat, and I'm 38 years old, a runner, and in good shape. Unfortunately, the experience got worse when we left the party area. Someone stole my Altra running shoes along with the zippered party favor bags we had received. My 5-year-old was heartbroken. On top of that, many of the arcade games were out of order, two major attractions were closed. I think this location would benefit greatly from having a dedicated toddler area where younger children can play safely away from older kids. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this Urban Air.

For $75 (a BARGAIN) they ran the train as our own private railroad for 4 hours. There are also some historical buildings (and a few re-creations) and old, retired, "real" trains (steam engine and a caboose) on the fairgrounds near the railroad--so there's some other cool stuff to see. (Note that you can't go in to any of these buildings outside of the annual Glenn County Fair in May.) There are several grassy areas and some picnic tables that served as lunch spots for our guests. PLUS there are restrooms near the train "depot" area--near the old train depot and 1-room school building. (The restrooms are old and small, but they were very clean and nicely maintained.) it looks like the railroad has had a few web pages over the years, but there hasn't been much updated lately and some are no longer up and running. (This would be a big disappointment, but nobody would have much fun if it's that hot.) You'll need to do some paperwork to get approval from the Glenn County Fairgrounds and the Orland Police, plus you'll need liability insurance (which you may have to purchase for the event), but it was all worth it. There are no restrooms at the usual picnic area (near the intersection of Papst & Yolo streets); the restrooms are about 100 yards away (near the old school and depot). This really isn't inconvenient, unless you have young children who need to go "right now!", and then that 2-minute walk could be a little too long.
