Selection of motorcycles is limited and the way over priced. The price of the bike is not listed on the bike therefore if you are going to browse you are forced to talk to a representative to get the price. Service department is very good however too expensive. 80 bucks for an oil change at minimum. There are plenty of better place to get a motorcycle. I can't believe I previously bought a bike here, never again.

My baby is back!! Took my first long road trip on Saturday and stopped for lunch. My NEW 202O Spyder would not start!! Haven't even made my first payment!! It was towed to Cycle City Corp in Newport News, VA. They are the BEST!! Great customer service. They even walked my husband through suggested troubleshooting over the phone!! I've been riding Indians for about 4 years. I had been using another dealer closer to my house…read more(one hour drive each way) but had a LOT of negative experiences with that dealership. When I would bump into other Indian riders on the road, all of them it seemed would tell me I need check out Indian of Southeastern Virginia. They are farther for me to reach, about 1.5 hours each way, but I used the ride one day as an excuse to go down there. I just randomly stopped in on a weekday. Ed, the owner, was there and made small talk with me. Others had told me he could be a bit prickly but we had a fine conversation. He did seemed turned off that I had not bought a new bike from them and that my most recent was purchased used, but he was polite about it. I then went back when they did an Indian demo days and I rode multiple bikes over a number of hours. I interacted with Ed and others on the staff that day. Everyone was very polite and upbeat. I recently visited during one of their anniversary party events. They had a "spin the wheel" for a discount and I got a discount of 40% and bought a $500+ leather jacket I had my eye on. I can tell you the "spin the wheel" at the other dealership I mentioned was a joke. Basically meant for you to lose, or you might get 10% off something if you're lucky. This place had generous prizes. Appreciated that. I decided to take my bike to them today for the first time getting a 5k service. They handled the scheduling all by text message which I really appreciate. As soon as I pulled in, Dave came out to greet me and they got right on it. I ended up being there about 2.5 hours and I could see the tech was working on my bike the entire time. I think they also did a washing/detail of the bike. That is fantastic! I had a 5k service performed on another bike at the other bad dealer I mentioned, and it was over like in 45 minutes to an hour. They tried to tell me that Indian lets them charge for 2 hours but that "they are efficient" and do a better job than the average Indian dealer. Yeah, right. I can see they just cut corners. When I asked if I got a cheaper price because they didn't spend 2 hours on it, they told me that of course not, they make a profit by being more efficient. What a joke. I feel this place did a great job on the 5k. Last thing I'll mention is that they had a bunch of great clearance deals on clothing. I also had 4 coupons with me today, one for a discount on the 5k service, a birthday coupon, and two other Indian promo discounts. Dave worked with me on all of them, with a good mood, and treated me great. I can't say enough about how great I felt about the whole experience. The other "bad dealer" I mention, any time I had a coupon they acted like I was a criminal. The wife part of the ownership actually accused me of using the coupon at another location and trying to pawn it off on them and using it again. Kept complaining

I drove an hour and a half to work with him again instead of going to Indian Motorcycles of Hampton Roads, just 25 minutes from me. When it came time to pay, I learned they required a cashier's check -- something I hadn't been told (bought both my previous motorcycles from Cycle World in VB on a credit card w no issues.) I was eager to ride the bike home, so wanted to find a solution. I asked Erik about credit card, debit card, wire transfer, etc. but was told the owner doesn't allow these methods. Feeling it was worth a conversation, I asked to speak w him. I offered to pay in full on debit, cover credit card fees, or even wire the funds, After a short discussion, he said there may be an option and walked away. Me and Erik continued w the sale and trade-in, signing docs and finalizing everything. The owner comes back a few minutes later, leading to the below conversation: Owner: "as an owner, I can do anything" Me: "fantastic, that's what I love to hear!" Owner: "and I would be STUPID to ever accept a debit card.." Me: "So no option to buy this today" Owner: "well, you need to understand why" Me: "I understand why, you don't want to take any risk." Owner: "but I need to explain so you understand" Me: "Stop talking, I understand why. It's over, you won't do it, I'm just going to try the other location closer to my house next time" He then says verbatim, "Oh, so now you want to be a fu-king douche bag and not be my friend?" To be fair, Erik did warn me speaking w him was a waste of time... Within 2 minutes, I went from ecstatic to be buying an Indian to feeling completely disrespected and disgusted with this business owner. All because I'm trying to pay him $12,000 for a motorcycle. As a note, 4 employees witnessed this and 2 of them made comments to me after the incident apologizing for his behavior and implying he's not fun to work with. Outside of this conversation, the guy had seemed nice. Pretty rude a few times "have you ever even done a wire?" and "well, are you sure your bank account can cover it?" (At which point I pulled up my checking account and showed him to alleviate concerns) but I brushed these comments off as I look young and understand the stereotype. Obviously hits another level when he feels a sale is threatened.. Erik is great if you want to learn about Indian motorcycles, but after that, I'd strongly recommend buying elsewhere and not supporting this arrogant owner. He did say "ride safe" as I was gearing up to leave on my bike, so there's that.. *the business is of course free to respond, however, I would kindly ask they provide surveillance video should you try to dispute any of these facts*

Got the bike back home, drove it some, same miss occurred (it had been an intermittent problem from the start). Took it back a couple weeks later. Over the period of the next year, I kept getting every excuse imaginable (the same as others on here get). Saying they needed to replace the other MAP sensor: backordered parts, mechanics getting "training", mechanics out of town, part received but it was bad, backlog of other bikes, blah blah blah. The 2nd repair was never completed. Filed a lawsuit in September of 2022. Went to court in April of 2023. I won my case for a return of the $892 for the bad repair. I then went to get my bike back (which was still disassembled from trying to replace the 2nd MAP sensor) and was told I owed them money and could not get the bike. I got a letter from their lawyer claiming I owed attorney fees for court (THAT I WON) and the 2nd repair (WHICH WAS NOT DONE). The bill for the 2nd repair to replace the other MAP sensor? $15,700!! It claimed I owed $15,500 for "labor". I've since filed another lawsuit for possession of my bike, but that won't go to court until September of 2023. I am also filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Virginia for violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. This business needs to be shut down. Sure, they were nice when I bought the bike. Everyone on here says that. As a repair facility, they are a complete sham. This business is detrimental to consumers in every way imaginable. The only thing more shameful than this establishment is the state of Virginia not doing something about it after years and years of complaints. Consumers have easily lost tens of thousands of dollars and countless days of their time by allowing this business to remain open. UPDATE: On September 29, 2023, I finally had my day in court with Redline to regain possession of my bike. The judge only spent about 7 minutes telling Redline's lawyer that they could not keep my bike, and then found in my favor. I am trying to setup a time to get the bike this coming weekend. We'll see how that goes.

Don't take this the wrong way however - there is a certain amount of charm to an older dealership that's survived the ups and downs over the years in the motorcycle industry yet somehow continues to open the doors every morning. It establishes an unspoken trust in an industry riddled with untrustworthy types. Take it from me, I used to work in it. Having said that - this is the motorcycle shop an enthusiast, weekend warrior or someone just starting out can buy a bike, get it serviced or fill a parts order without having to second guess the professionalism or integrity of the staff. That's increasingly rare these days but appreciated nonetheless.

I filled out the appointment details online but didn't hear back from them so I called and one of the mechanics told me "I'm too busy to pay attention to that online BS just bring the bike in and we'll look at it". They are busy and it took them about a month to get the repair estimate but once I gave the go ahead they were terrific about keeping me updated about the status of the work being performed. After Mike got done working on it and I took it down Tidewater on the way home the bike ran like brand new. Of course it helped that I had drained the tank before putting it into storage. Real old school, reliable way of doing motorcycle maintenance.
