I took my 2016 Ducati Diavel to Redline to fix a miss in the engine. Brought it in April of 2021. Did not get it back until July of 2021 after they replaced a MAP sensor and charged me $892. Got the bike back home, drove it some, same miss occurred (it had been an intermittent problem from the start). Took it back a couple weeks later. Over the period of the next year, I kept getting every excuse imaginable (the same as others on here get). Saying they needed to replace the other MAP sensor: backordered parts, mechanics getting "training", mechanics out of town, part received but it was bad, backlog of other bikes, blah blah blah. The 2nd repair was never completed. Filed a lawsuit in September of 2022. Went to court in April of 2023. I won my case for a return of the $892 for the bad repair. I then went to get my bike back (which was still disassembled from trying to replace the 2nd MAP sensor) and was told I owed them money and could not get the bike. I got a letter from their lawyer claiming I owed attorney fees for court (THAT I WON) and the 2nd repair (WHICH WAS NOT DONE). The bill for the 2nd repair to replace the other MAP sensor? $15,700!! It claimed I owed $15,500 for "labor". I've since filed another lawsuit for possession of my bike, but that won't go to court until September of 2023. I am also filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Virginia for violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. This business needs to be shut down. Sure, they were nice when I bought the bike. Everyone on here says that. As a repair facility, they are a complete sham. This business is detrimental to consumers in every way imaginable. The only thing more shameful than this establishment is the state of Virginia not doing something about it after years and years of complaints. Consumers have easily lost tens of thousands of dollars and countless days of their time by allowing this business to remain open. UPDATE: On September 29, 2023, I finally had my day in court with Redline to regain possession of my bike. The judge only spent about 7 minutes telling Redline's lawyer that they could not keep my bike, and then found in my favor. I am trying to setup a time to get the bike this coming weekend. I took my Kawasaki KLR650 in to Redline in mid-August to have new tires mounted. I provided the tires, but only had one tube so I expected them to order me a tube and mount the two tires. I was told that there was a bit of a delay and that it would be five days before anyone could look at the bike. This seemed reasonable to me, so I didn't call again until the beginning of September. I figured that two weeks would be adequate. When I called, I was told that the backlog was actually FIVE WEEKS! I figured that they already had the bike, and I had already waited almost three weeks, so I didn't want to lose my place in line. Flash forward to the beginning of October when Dave tells me that he has finally had a chance to get my bike on a stand and realized that it needs a new chain, new sprockets and a new coolant overflow bottle. These parts took a week to arrive so I went to pick up the bike the second week of October. I paid my bill ($860 approximately, so I would expect high quality work for that price). Unfortunately, the gear shift had been damaged when they had loaded the bike on the trailer to move it from Virginia Beach (where their garage is) to Yorktown (where I had dropped the bike off). After looking at pictures of the damage, Dave conceded that he must have damaged its shifter and apologized. He agreed to replace the shifter, which took another week. At this point, I wasn't thrilled with all that had transpired, but at least I had my bike back. However, I quickly realized that one of the bolts that had held on my headlight was missing, my off road lights (which worked fine when I dropped the bike off) weren't working and the front fairing which had been removed to replace the coolant overflow bottle had a tab cracked off. I would not recommend Redline unless you absolutely cannot find another shop to work on your bike. read more

They quoted me around 200 bucks to fix my ignition, charged my card then after I sent parts, they held them for an additional 750 dollars saying there was some new problem that they had to fix(couldn't be undone) and I couldn't have my ignition back until I paid. Unfukingbelievable!! All together with shipping it ended up costing me almost a thousand dollars to have a new key made when they quoted 200. Then after I received the new keys and ECU they don't work. I have to get a lawyer now and sue for my 1000 bucks back. Avoid this business at all costs. read more

Recently moved to Virginia Beach and was looking to getting into another bike, a Ducati. Got to the dealer and was barely greeted, maybe I look too young to be a potential customer. After this, the front desk guy was alright. A new little cafe racer caught my eye and really got me thinking whether I wanted that or the 959 panigale, I know big change lol but that's how nice looking this little guy is. Not knowing a thing about this I asked the guy "what can you tell me about it" he told me the price, really? Thanks for the info on the damn bike! I asked if they could start it and I was told if I was serious about it "purchasing it". Well,not to go into details I felt like shit right there and then. I guess the guy felt like he really shouldn't have said that so he tried to cover it up by giving me something about the battery not being installed and the bike not being prepped. Not sure how the hell im supposed to be "serious" about a bike if I can't even hear what it sounds like. I could only imagine what they'd say if asked to get a feel for it by test riding it. Well guys, you may be one of the few Ducati dealers in the area it I have no problem traveling to get respect specially when buying such an expensive toy. I asked for an estimate on fixing a stuck clutch leaver on my bike, after almost a week I didn't hear anything from them so I just went back to pick up my bike and take it somewhere else, he told me I couldn't have it back unless I paid 70$ for the service, which was never provided. The owner of this shop is very friendly and explains all details of the repairs being done. Brought my bike here after some jackoff knocked it over in a parking lot. The work they did was excellent, and looked brand new after completed. It took a little longer than originally planned, but it was due to special parts. I even had a complication later that i thought might be related to the repair, and they responded to me over the weekend during off hours to arrange pickup of the bike and everything. I would recommend this place to anyone for service or sales. read more

Very poor service. Took my bike here for a simple service Next thing you know I get a call from a guy named David.. Has the gaul to tell me that they cant pass my 2 year old bikes inpsection because of tires. He wants to charge me 500 bucks for 2 new tires that I don't even need. I say now way, I will come pickup my bike. I get there and they have put the new tires on and discarded my old ones. They tell me I have to pay for them or they wont give me my bike. Red line had my 1972 BMW four months. When it was returned to me after, Saying my bike was road worthy. This just a small amount of what I got back for 1,738 dollars. Replaced rear wheel with broken spoke. Turn signals not working. Garbage in fuel system. Was told straight to my face a 1972 BMW doesn't have a starter. I removed it myself and sent it in for repair in Richmond. Front left and right brake and clutch assembly loose not tightened down. Front and back tires not balanced not even with beads or the old lead weights. After my complaints they said they sorry that I was not happy with there quality of work. I was told to bring it back and they would look at it, after a while I said I would. But to be honest with you I couldn't bring myself to do it. I was told several times only one mechanic was working on my bike. Then after my complaint there mutable mechanics working on my bike. Like that was an excuse for shotty work. I don't like being miss lead. ( Im being nice). I'm a retired US Army First Sgt. and 21 years as a helicopter mechanic. The old saying holds true you want done right do it your self. Don't throw money away trusting these mechanics to do it right. The one thing I forgot to ask for is to see if any of them went to school to learn this skill. Had a ducati with an electronic issue, tried to fix it myself, couldn't -- time to call the experts. Unfortunately for me, the only Ducati shop in 100 miles are these guys. Nice on the phone, ok store front .... why 1 star? Because I dropped the bike off beginning of FEB and it was not ready for pick up until THE END OF AUGUST! I made a habit of calling every 2-3 weeks; every time, I would be promised that the bike was next in line, that someone would see it soon, and that someone would call me back soon. Was I ever called back? If your answer is nope, you win the gold star. These guys are terrible. Can you imagine .... over 6 months .... essentially the ENTIRE riding year, to change the oil and find the short in the electrics?!? I can. read more

Been emailing David the CEO for a bit and been there before to look around. I had a 748 Ducati and asked if they might be interested in trading as I wasn't a fan. He told me to bring it on up and "HE" would take a look at it. I did so on a 103 degree day from norfolk and was given the service manager Jon and typical "you need this and we have to fix this, Ill give you 2k" mind you I wasn't asking for money. but we were establishing a price for a trade. David himself never dealt with me and I asked for him when I got there. I just left because i know the sales and trade in pitch to get stuff cheap and really... Thats what he was doing. I emailed him when I got home to speak my displeasure and was told "I was pissed off because they offered me 2K" (great professional vernacular). and so on and so on. By the end I need about ... Ridiculous repair time/Ridiculous Price! They had my bike for almost a month, a little over 3 weeks. I had electrical issues with my Harley. Everything seemed great at first, I dropped the bike off (18MAR/25MAR didn't write date down so may be off) and the guy at the front desk went over my bike with me. We talked about adding some engine lights and dropping the stock turn signals to my saddle bags also adding a bobber taillight. Expected to hear an update(26MAR) and I never heard anything so I called, I was told the only guy who works on Harley's is currently out for a week due to schooling; which is okay but no call really? Thursday (31MAR) I called for an update, was told my headlight was back on and my shifter was working again. sitting currently at $137 Thursday (7APR) I went in for an update, I was told they were waiting on the taillight to come in. I was told the bike is to be completed late next week. Tuesday (12APR) I called to see if a fuel gauge could be added that I ordered from JP Cycles, and I was told all their techs were out for training. Wednesday (13APR) I called about the fuel gauge again and was told to drop it off, while I was there I asked about the completion of the bike and was told they were still waiting on the taillight; I seen my current bill sitting at $280. Called Saturday (16APR) for an update and was told the service tech manager wasn't there so my number was taking down and was told he'll call me. Never got called. 21APR I got my bike back and the bill was $604. Taillights were no installed, led plate was still on just wired up. This is where it got shitty. 21-26 APR the bike shut off multiple times on me leaving me stranded on the HRBT and I kept hearing a clunking noise. Once I got the bike home I took the seat off and discovered they never put the gas tank bolt back on securely and my battery terminals were hand loose. I have not called redline to discuss the issue, never again will I have them touch any motorcycle I own. I should have went somewhere else, now I know. If you want something done in a timely manner without paying too much, don't go here. read more

I've had 3 experiences with Redline: The first was getting my initial 600-800 mile servicing done on my bike. I hung around and chatted with the guys (very friendly when face to face), and was on my way in an hour and a half or so. The price was way cheaper than Casey Cycle City, and the service quality was an A+. The second, I went to buy a pitbull swingarm stand. The price was even cheaper than Amazon! That transaction was also an A+. The third is now...I dropped my bike off on Saturday, March 5th. I am getting a full exhaust put on, a Power Commander V installed, and a dyno tune to sync everything. I called them on March 10th just to get an update and an approximate date of when my bike will be ready for pick up. The first call, Jeff answered. I said, "Hi sir, I'm just calling to check on the status of my bike". That is word for word what I said, and I was immediately hung up on without Jeff saying another word. I called back about 5-10 minutes later after no call back was received and this time JB answered, and was very helpful (went to the back and even checked with the mechanic and everything). My beef is solely with Jeff. They have caller ID, so IF him hanging up on me was unintentional, he could've called back. So knowing that, and the fact that someone else answered when I called back tells me getting hung up on was absolutely intentional. For a customer service based business, I find this EXTREMELY unacceptable, and disrespectful. If I've given you my business before, and am currently giving you business, you can't do me the favor of at least giving me an estimate of when my bike will be ready?? I plan to talk to Jeff personally whenever I go to pick my bike up (it's March 18th and I still am waiting), as well as getting the owners contact info and giving him a call as well. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but we will see what happens when I confront Jeff and talk to the owner. read more

I believe I had a fair deal with my initial purchase of my triumph. there was an issue with a triumph 'hero' program which Redline handled well. took some time, but they provided the deal they and triumph proffered. so far they have been responsive in resolving the few minor issues with the bike. If I could give David and his business no stars, I would without a blink. I have caught him in lies numerous times, up to the point that he will no longer communicate with me by telephone, e-mail or in person. I just need to deal with the fact that he has stolen my money and has not provided the service he promised. He has however provided, by far, the worst customer service and unprofessional attitude I have ever received from a business, all while being the actual business owner. Internet order. Was sent pictures of the bike that were probably old. They sent me the bike, it arrived weeks late. It had many more miles on it than listed. In addition to this, paint was missing and the gas tank was rusted out. I will back up here, I originally ordered the bike, got everything in text, and they accepted my payment. Then after I paid, they sent me this paperwork insisting I sign it or they would not send the bike. I find out later this is their "AS IS" agreement. They went from advertising a "near mint" bike, alleging like it had been stored since the 90s. Basically it was a complete and utter false representation of the bike. They wanted to put off a used refurbished bike as a "near mint" or "new old stock" bike. What a joke, these guys think it was all about the money too. To this day, they mock me, these people. I think they got raped on their deal on that bike so they sent out to "pay it forward". Then when I called them out on it, they were all a bunch of pricks. I even brought out the email with the description and the "near mint" status and glowing review from the owner. The owner of the business that is, Redline Performance, and of course he would never speak to me and only his lackey would. They have a lot of negative emotion to throw around once they screw you over, hard life over there I guess, so again, you were warned by Adamson, just remember that, you're not going to see their names all over streets throughout the world. read more

In my experience there are several issues of concern with the service department. # 1 Overpriced, 25% higher based on a comparison of two other Triumph shops. #2, Slow, was unable to complete standard service within the time promised. #3 Poor communication, differing explanation of service charges depending on which employee is giving the explination and no notification of service delays. #4 Unforseen charges, I dropped off my bike after calling and checking service cost and was subsequently emailed an estimate that included a $100+ checkout fee, although no documentation was offered, no checklist of items reviewed, only evidence of a checkout was a suggestion that my oil leak concern "might be a the crush washer on the oil drain plug". My expectation was the bike would thoroughly checked during the $991 standard service in addition to the requested state inspection renewal. Initially, this was described as a "standard" charge applied to all service bills. After complaint, It was agreed that the checkout fee would be dropped if I had the service completed. Negative incentive for me, will not be returning to Redline in the future. read more
