Stopped in to get some help with my less than a year old Shoei Qwest, and Ryan did not disappoint. While riding in the rain, the top seal was allowing water in and dripping down. He immediately knew a fix, which was that Shoei helmets have an adjustable baseplate for the visor. He adjusted both sides, and now that seal is super tight! Rain stopped for the rest of the ride, but suspect this will be a fix as I could feel how sealed the helmet now was by comparison. Thanks Ryan! read more

What a great experience I had here this morning!! I am a female rider and most times I walk into a shop I either get ignored or talked to like I have no clue. Not at this place!! I needed a new helmet and boots for MX. I was greeted by Anthony and told him my price range and type of riding I do, he gave be a few options to try out/on. I wasn't buying anything super high priced but he still treated me like I was the most important customer in the shop. I walked out with the two items I came in to just look at plus a pair of goggles. I live about 75 miles away from this location but from now on, this will be my first place to shop. read more

I ordered 2 tires for my Suzuki Burgman. They told the would be no Problem to mount the tires on the rim. After 2 Days they called, the tires are in. I got the rear wheel off my Burgman and brought it to Cycle Gear. There they told me, there is a 24 hours turn a round for this job. If they told me this before I ordered, I would go somewhere else. Imagine you have don't have a garage and get the wheel off on the side of the street. You wait 24 hours, and when you want to tires changed, this take 48 hours, because you can get only 1 wheel off in time. The other motorcycle place down the street changed the tire in 20 minutes. read more

I've bought so much stuff here I can't tell you. Full leathers for me and my son. All his dirt gear from age 4 to 22 when he started buying his own. Boots, helmets, tires, tubes, chains, lubes, grips, stands and on and on. I like Kearney Mesa better than San Marcos, buy I work near the San Marcos location. The employees at San Marcos store aren't the most helpful people, but it's been convenient. My boy went in Saturday to get his engine ice, and he stood at the counter for 10 minutes and nobody helped him. One guy left the counter to go help a lady that was looking at helmets. I will never buy anything at this location ever again. I don't get all the five star reviews. I have been frustrated at this location for two or three years now. Never again. Bought a Sena 20s dual pack for me and my father around Christmas time. The young man working there had plenty of knowledge on the product. He even installed both the head sets perfectly. I'm very satisfied with the customer service there. I even bought a helmet for my girlfriend and it was on sale for well under the original price. Going here for all my gear from now on.
