My family and I just went to Cycle Gear today to buy 4 helmets, 4 goggles, 4 sets of gear, and a gear bag. The sales guy started off good and was helping us with our order. As he was showing us helmets he abruptly stopped working with us and went to the counter to help another customer that came in after us with a part order. I guess the other guy that was at the counter couldn't handle the part order. Instead of helping us with the helmets that we were trying on the other sales guy walks right by us and goes to the back room of the store and starts tinkering with stuff. About 10 minutes goes by and we put the helmets down and leave. The owner of this store would have been seriously bummed on his staff. Never going back. Terrible sales staff and terrible selection. read more

Anytime I need gear for my motorcycles or myself I come here. I live 40 mins away but the drive or ride is always worth it. I have been here many times and never had problems with either the service or the items purchased. All the people working here are extremely nice and knowledgeable. I give this place 5 stars. My husband went in the other day with our two sons to purchase a helmet being sold on a great deal, however, our 2 yr old son fell asleep just before getting there and my husband was unable to try on the helmet while cradling our son. He resolved to go back another time. The very next day he did go back and the man helping him had taken it upon himself to place the helmet on hold,without my husband asking. It was a good thing, too, because the helmets in his size had sold out. Good customer service, we will shop there again. read more

I bought a pair of riding shoes late last summer and didn't realize that they shipped with no in soles inside them. Winter set in and I hadn't rode until now. I went to put the shoes on and found the issue and called the Santa Rosa AVE Cycle Gear store and was told sorry being that they were bought that long ago there is nothing we can do for you. Wow really what customer service that is! I have bought a fair amount of products from them up until now. Over a lousy pair of inserts for my shoes you lost a loyal customer. Be sure I will tell everyone I know how crappy your customer service is as well as your lacking your sales staff is. These were not cheap shoes at aroud a 100.00 dollars. read more

Went in to be fitted for a helmet and fully intending on buying one . Got no help from the two people who were working!!! I guess a sales don't mean much to you. If you see someone trying on helmets you might want to ask if they have any questions!!! I'm shopping elsewhere and as a new rider I could have been a good return customer. This store has great customer service. I needed a new helmet and it's been quite awhile since the last time I bought one, so all the shapes and sizes were different. Tony helped me find what I needed and was very helpful. It took me a three trips to the store to get it dialed in, but that wasn't a problem and Tony was patient and helped me try on different helmets until I got one that worked. several things.....the customer service is really good here.....everytime i have a problem, they make sure i leave happy and satisfied.....i had my moto break down in a remote place last week , and i panicked . so i called these guys...Tommy answered and immediately pointed me in the right direction...a private motorcycle rescuer.....pretty amazing.... also, i got a Shoei helmet and had problems sizing it...i brought it home and ended up returning it for a large......they have a policy of 7 days which is great......you cant have it on road....well, i had to be honest and i told the the other manager that i rode home 1 mile in it.......he exchanged it anyways ......like i said, i really think they want the customer to be satisfied, and this experience prooves it....thanks guys and you will see me again when its time to buy boots!! read more
