David is the best! 10/10 cannot recommend enough! Went in at the last minute right before close and he was busy, there were a lot of other customers already. I had a strict budget but was also in a hurry. David managed to find time to help me try on two pairs of boots, a bajillion helmets, find pants shirts and gloves that fit. And he helped advise me in goggles that will protect my nose since I know my dad will try to roost me when I lap him on the track! Every time I have come into cycle gear for anything I need they are quick to engage with customers and are super helpful and friendly.

We live out of town and made the trip to get a specific battery. Before going we called to ensure they had the battery we needed in stock and had them set it aside to avoid any confusion when picking it up. Upon arrival I was told they did not set ANYTHING aside for us and I (the girlfriend) did not know the correct part (aka why we called ahead and had it set aside). So I bought the incorrect battery that the employees said was the right one (wrong). Then, when we went back to return it, they could not give us a cash refund (even though we paid in cash). And The battery they were supposed to set aside? They didn't even have it in stock. So not only did they not set it aside, they did not even have it in store to begin with. The icing on the cake was how insanely rude the assistant manager was about putting on a mask (which wasn't required of me the day before, but I guess thats just sanitary science these days) So basically, if you're looking for a well run business that you can rely on to be competent, this is not the business for you. Try Cajun motors or just order your stuff online to save the mental strain and time wasted. read more

The largest takeaway I have from this nationwide company is that only employees who make more than $14 per hour matter. Even if: -you are a Key Holder, hit Gear Expert, show up on time every time, and still have 20 hours of sick time in mid-November because you are reliable; -have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, provide attentive customer service, demonstrate superior sales skills and substantial coaching abilities, and racked up 80 hours of vacation because you love your job and take it far too seriously; -you have worked there for 3 years and stayed after your manager made you feel uncomfortable with his sexual comments about your black cat, and persistently tried to get you, a fellow female, to bird-dog other women with him. Not a single soul on the corporate end of Cycle Gear cares about you. However, if you do fit into the preferred tax bracket, you are allowed to participate in the following: Scheduling people on days they requested off, and then cutting their hours when they remind you they asked for it off, because you don't like them anyway. Forgetting to schedule for our monthly Bike Night several times even though you're not even close to a "new" manager anymore. Or taking a week off work without letting a single person on your store team know. (Just let the DM know and all sins are forgiven!) Not having to touch pallet, put away returns, charge shipping on special orders, use return slips, use "Give Me 5" cards, or even clean up after yourself! You can even leave tires for tomorrow so the next guy will have to do them. Having no teaching skills nor interpersonal skills resulting in new trainees feeling belittled; and receiving no repercussions when they speak up about it. Micro managing every little thing without actually managing anything; nor effectively create Coaching Priorities. (Literally just copy the same 'grades' from the previous month and keep telling the employee to work on the same thing even though they have already changed the behavior. Or don't even do them at all for months on end and just tell the DM people are refusing to sign. He'll believe you.) Having your employees vape in the back room, despite policies of no e-cigarettes and CA laws about uninterrupted breaks, as to not affect store metrics. And checking out SO's for products that haven't arrived to the store yet so you will hit daily goal. (Because that's all Cycle Gear cares about.) Letting your girlfriend hang out in the back room, sitting in the back room on your phone as often and as long as you wish, playing favorites, and pressure selling to customers. And lest we forget, sexually harassing your subordinates (the sweetest person in the store, not to mention) by saying disgustingly inappropriate things and disrespecting women customers by noticeably assessing their body from head to toe! BONUS: If any of these issues are brought to your superiors' attention, or complained about for seven plus consecutive months, the DM and HR Director will back you up and sweep it all under the rug for you!!! Your paycheck is basically the corporate equivalent of a participation trophy so you don't even have to have leadership skills, or any skills for that matter! It's like an all-expenses paid trip to the D-bag Olympics, year round! I will shop at Sanders from here on out. read more

So I bought a bell helmet from these guys at the recommendation of a manager went down after trying to purchase a clear visor due to my car being in the shop having to ride to work at 3 am these guts would not help me at had zero visor in stock also made me aware they don't keep them in stock this is a 400 helmet mind you not super cheap so I asked to order one and have them give me one off a helmet till the ordered one came in and they could keep the new ordered one because I didn't feel safe riding to work at 3 am in the dark and felt it was dangerous but rather then work with me they chose to say they could order one be 5 to 7 business days coming in from Las Vegas so if you choose to buy anything from this company make sure they carry spare parts that they should due to the fact they sell the product and make sure you deal with someone with concerns for you and your safety not just commission they earn for sales definitely not great management they basically have zero concerns other then profit read more

Don't go here. I dropped my tire off first thing in the morning, was told to would be don't in a couple hours. When Iwent back 3 hours later my tire was sitting in he same place I had left it. My tire was finally returned to me 2 hours after that. The worst part is that they put the directional tire backwards on my Harley. read more

David is the ASM and Mauro was another person there that was very nice and made me feel comfortable shopping there. They didn't have the hats I wanted there at the store, but they were able to order the exact one I was looking for so that I can pick it up at the store (even though home shipping is an option) just like I wanted. As soon as I came to the door, David recognized me, even after only meeting me once and not seeing me for a long time. These guys are very cool and so professional at the same time.
