Triumph San Diego is one of the best motorcycle dealerships I've ever been to. They also sell Royal Enfield and they always have a tempting selection of used bikes. What makes them the best is their attentive staff. Jeff, their primary sales person, always greets everyone he sees with sincerity and a smile making all whom enter feel welcome without being overbearing. Todd at parts seems to have eyes behind his head and is quick to acknowledge you if you're hovering around the parts counter, ready to assist. Dan at service has a knowledge and experience that comes through as he listens to your needs and he expresses his thanks with a firm handshake, for your business. I believe Issac is the general manager and he will give you his honest opinion even if it may discourage the sale of a bike, part or service. All of the staff are passionate about motorcycles and they all ride if not race the brands they represent. The shop isn't as large as other motorcycle dealerships, but it's clean, bright and usually has all the models of Triumphs and Royal Enfields offered. They have a good selection of accessories, clothing and usually seem to have the parts I need in stock and when I do need to order a part, it's there within a week. If not busy, some of the staff will chat bikes and track with you all day, but they usually keep pretty busy. Nicest most sincere dealership I've ever been to. read more

I discovered Triumph San Diego last year when I was searching for a 350 Classic Royal Enfield. I found their website and saw one they were selling that I instantly fell in love with. It was a beautiful halcyon grey color! I sent a message to them asking if it was still in stock and I got a response right away from Jeff. He was super nice and answered all of my questions. My husband and I went to the dealership the same day and were greeted by Jeff. We saw my bike and I knew I had to have it. Be very careful when taking your bike here, make sure you give the service department as much information on what you want done. I would not trust them for accurate diagnostics. You basically have to do that yourself. I took my bike here based on the 4.8 rating, but didn't really research any of the reviews beforehand. My '20 Triumph Scrambler 1200 was not idling at a stop, needed to be rev'd at stops and when taking off but otherwise runs fine at speed. Quick google or reddit searches says this is a known issue for the 1200 Triumph, most sources saying a computer tune or booster plug resolves the issue. I take my bike in, 4 hours later I get a call that they couldn't find any issues, no computer issues, and they would need to spend more time trying to figure out. They wanted to start ripping parts off the engine and who knows what. On top of that they wanted to charge me $300 for 2 hours of diagnostic work that diagnosed nothing. Do not let them do this to you. I took my bike back without authorizing any more work. To add insult to injury, they drained my nearly full tank I had when I dropped it off, and gave maybe 1/5 of a tank back (for diagnostics lol). read more

Got into an accident, wanted to take my bike to the shop for repairs. They wanted to charge a $300 inspection fee plus my $500 deductible. I had an approved insurance claim from USAA but they still wanted to charge me $300 Additional fee. Recommended you shop around for a different shop. Started my bike hunt last year and my father in law and I went to a numerous dealerships to find the bike that most suits me. Issac was very kind and knew a lot about the bikes and I did not feel like he was just blowing smoke up my rear to make a sale. A month later, I came back and saw a bike that I liked and was well fitted for what I'll use it for. Jeff let me test drive it and we talked a bit and again no pressure on me and no gimmicks. Their service department put on what I believe is a defective front tire (periodic bumps that increases with speed) based on 30 years of riding experience . They were nice to check the balance for free but that didn't fix the problem. When I bought another new tire and paid to put it on, that fixed the problem. But they didn't offer to refund the price of the previous tire or the installation. I'm out ~$300, but at least my motorcycle is safe to ride again. read more

Jeff is the man, and he's a heckuva sales manager. I bought a triumph bobber bike in 2022 and the sales staff was great. Then worked with the parts department to order new tires last week. He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I had to schedule a time with service separately to have the tires mounted. The service department had a major disconnect from parts - 20 feet away. I had several conversations with parts and was confident that parts communicated to service (parts said they did) When speaking to service, Danny is rude but also has a major disconnect from parts - or is atleast unwilling to bridge the gap between the two in any meaningful way. I took a day off of work to drive the bike from riverside to san diego (and back) to have the tires mounted - today I'm taking the bike to chaparral motorsports to have a new tube put in as the tire was flat the day following the installation. The tire is not damaged. I think if you are rude and poor in dealing with your customers - make it up with good work - I got the attitude, poor workmanship and a bill to get it done right. Great shop. I bought a Tiger here and can only say good things about the bike and store. Every time I service it, it comes back with nice thoughtful touches, cleaned and lubricated kick stand, filled in mirror mounts, etc. Five stars. But I just gotta get this off my chest. You gotta stop the pandering and misdirected lectures. I know what a hex wrench is. I know where the little oil window is. Uhhh, dude. The service dept overfilled the oil on an oil change. No big deal. I brought it back and got a lecture on keeping the bike balanced when checking the oil. The guy didn't listen, didn't take my word for it, and took 10 minutes of my captured audience to finally figure out they overfilled the oil. Um, not sure how a tech makes this mistake, but whatever. Another time I got lectured on the rear tire alignment. The tech took about 10 minutes to explain tire alignment to me, what a hex wrench is, marks, OMG stop. Hey guys, I don't know how to tell you this without doing the same thing you guys are doing to me ... namely being all patronizing and stuff. Your shop is the only one who has serviced this bike. If the rear wheel is so ridiculously out of alignment, you need to kind of figure that out between yourselves in a team building meeting. (Sorry, really, like I said, just had to get that off my chest.) read more

I'd like to preface this review by first saying its long winded..and I have never given a review for anything because for the most part, the standard of business in today's world doesn't warrant extra effort, especially given costs. However, Triumph San Diego surprised me with unexpected character today. I recently picked up a 2017 Thruxton R on private market, had them do my first service, and ran the parts guys through the ringer with that "what would it cost" "what could I do" line of annoying questions. Had a solid first experience, service team is great, albeit expensive, so I ended up deciding to buy parts locally through them rather than online and wanted them to do the install. While dropping her off, I reluctantly asked if they would be able to dispose of the old wheels as I was lacking space and they offered free of charge. Long story short, while checking out, the service manager handed me a $100 on behalf of the GM. While I understand I probably could have sold them for the same or lot more, the point is I offered to pay them to dispose of the wheels. They had zero reasons to hand me $100, I would have been stoked they found a home outside of the recycler regardless. This is the kind of gesture that creates long term loyalty dividends. Definitely keeping my business with them. read more

Purchased my first motorcycle here and from the get go Jeff was incredibly courteous, knowledgeable and just plain nice - the employees here are all good people. Isaac was also great, I wanted to get a phone mount installed (on my royal enfield continental gt) but the way the handle bars are it was not possible to put on a traditional phone mount. However, Isaac resolved this no problem and installed one with a bolt and it works perfectly. Another employee, I believe his name was Rob, took his time explaining all the details of their Bluetooth helmet as well. When I went to pick up the bike, Jeff explained all the details of the bike thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable with all the information. Overall, had a great experience here. Please do not use San Diego Triumph without making sure you do all your research on the cost of a motorcycle. I was "baited and switched" by San Diego Triumph by Jeff. I looked up a motorcycle online and saw that it a DEMO bike and on sale. I go down to San Diego Triumph to purchase the bike after doing a lot of review and research. When I get there I am greeted by Jeff. Amazingly nice and personable. I told him I saw the bike online and it was at a discount. He said oh great I can get you an even better deal on the bike! Ok great! So then I go for a test ride. Wonderful the bike is great. Seriously Triumph Kudos your bikes are amazing. So Jeff then wants me to "go sit in the hot seat." Ok cool lets see what deal he is able to get me since this whole time he's been telling me how he is going to give me such a great deal. Once we go to sit down and run the numbers Jeff slides to me a piece of paper $1500 higher than the price that was both ON THE HANDLEBARS of the bike and all of their website and on craigslist they had the add up for the last 18 days... So he knows what the price of the bike is and I refused to believe other wise. He told me countless times about how all they do is sell bikes and no sea doos or atvs. So he inspires you with all this confidence and tries to slip you a higher price. This is the definition of a bait and switch. Get someone to come in under the guise of the price being one option and then switching it to the higher price. Its hard to believe it was a mistake since this is indeed what they do all day long so you think you would be able to at least look at the tag hanging off the handlebars.... So I left on the spot as I don't accept an attempt at being taken advantage of. PLEASE DO YOU RESEARCH AND DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. Then to add insult to injury they needed to respond to my google add I guess they attempted to tell me I am poor with this line " If you as a buyer for new vehicle are unaware of costs associated with a new vehicle, such as sales tax, freight, setup, DMV and registration fees, then that is another discussion and you may want to do your own research on that." Really Triumph I am so well aware of the prices I called you out on your bait and switch. If this is the best customer service for Triumph in San Diego I would hate to see the bad ones. "11/8/2022 The price on the bottom of our hangtags do not include tax or license, we can't assume a customers tax rate as they vary by zipcode. The extra $1500 you saw was tax and license" The dishonesty here is simply amazing. I just don't understand why you are doubling down on the fact you tried to bait and switch me and were wrong. The price online for the motorcycle, was also on the handle bars, craigslist, and on your website states the bike was $15,388. Jeff tried to get me to pay $16,800 for the bike after promising me it was a good deal. You then tell me he accidentally charged me msrp which is wrong and also dishonest the MSRP is $18,500. We are not talking about tax or license fees yet. That hasn't even been applied yet. Or the $895 freight or your ~$500 Dealer set up fee. Please keep trying to blame it on me not understand the price. I'll be happy to stand outside san diego triumph with a sign that says JEFF LIES if I can save people from your lies. read more

Helpful, honest, and transparent. These guys want you on bike that you want to get on. I felt no ill-intended pressure while I looked around the showroom. Jeff in particular answered all of my many questions and highlighted the few points that he wasn't familiar with. After being garaged for over a year, my Street Triple R was in need of some general service and a check-up. The guys here at Triumph SD were all very professional and very helpfull. Danny (in Service) was the main person w/whom I interacted. He recommended some new tires (to replace my still original tires of 5-6 years) as well as talked through the details of the other items I was looking to get done (overall check-up, oil/filter and brake fluid change). He and Dan (Technician) also helped get the suspension adjusted to better suit my weight (rides MUCH better now). While I did not interact w/Dan all that much (outside of the supension adjustments), he did a great job on the overall service of my bike. On a previous day, Lance (in Parts) hooked me up w/a new battery.. and on a previous previous day (my first visit), Jeff (in Sales) helped show me the Zero bikes. Short story: Very courteous & professional staff. No pressure sales, excellent service. Highly recommended if you're shopping for a bike, need parts or maintenance. Long story: I've been riding motorcycles off & on for the last 20 years. In that time, I've owned 3 other Triumphs. I bought all 3 of those bikes at North County Yamaha in San Marcos. Unfortunately, NCY no longer carries Triumph. If you're looking for a Yamaha or a KTM, go to NCY....they are also excellent in all aspects. But if you're looking for a Triumph (or a Zero or Royal Enfield) go see Triumph San Diego. I walked in there a few weeks ago and already knew what I wanted. Talked to Jeff in Sales and he gave me no headaches, no pressure, no rushing. We worked out a very fair deal and told him I would be back in a few days as I was leaving the State. On a handshake, we sealed the sale. There was no demanding me of a deposit or a signature. Four days later I came back in and we finished the transaction as agreed, with no surprises or changes. I immediately started drooling over some cool parts & accessories and Isaac in the Parts Department helped me figure out what worked and what didn't. He had most of everything I wanted already in stock. Anything he had to order arrived on time, if not before the promised date. He was super helpful in person, on the phone or over email. Any requests were always promptly responded to. Came back to get the bike a few days later and everything was beautifully installed by Tim in the Service Dept. He did an awesome job. The electrical wiring was done very clean and looks totally factory finished. Came back a week later to arrange for a service appointment with Danny to install some more go fast/look cool stuff. I had lots of questions and Danny took his time explaining everything to me. Even called him a couple more times with more questions.....and again, he was super helpful. I have owned several motorcycles over the years with the latest being a Honda CBR650F. I really wanted something special, with character, style, performance, etc. that would last 6-7 years, and have more power ;) The usual Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha/etc. offerings all seemed routine and dull. So, I planned to visit all the large motorbike dealerships in San Diego until I found something 'inspiring'. Ha! Fortunately, the first dealership I visited was Triumph San Diego. I've never owned a Triumph but I really liked their latest offerings. Anyway, what I treat I was in for! Jeff was very courteous and respectful, and spent 30-45 minutes answering all my questions, explaining the various models, features, technical aspects, very clearly. However, what impressed me the most was his honesty (no 'sales pitch', upselling, usual stuff), and that he valued me as a person (not just an 'opportunity' for a commission, etc.). When Jeff had to deal with another customer, I met the General Manager Isaac who was also incredibly helpful. I said that I really wanted to hear how the bike sounded, so he wheeled it outside, warmed it up, etc. Nothing was too much trouble. In the end, I purchased a 2021 Street Triple RS (765cc, 125hp). Fantastic bike (but that's another story). I felt I got a really good trade-in for my old bike, and the entire purchase process was painless and completed very quickly. In these days of avarice, mischief and cynical sales practices, I was delighted to discover that there are still dealerships out there that value honesty, integrity, respect and customer service. My ultimate regret is that I didn't hear about the dealership earlier or experience a Triumph sooner. Anyway, a huge 'thank you' to Jeff, Isaac and the family at Triumph SD for restoring my faith in the existence of quality local dealerships and great motorcycles. Thank you! read more
