When I came in I heard someone greet me but couldn't for the life of me figure out where the voice was coming from because the place was packed. Apparently everyone wants to look their best for the weekend! Although I don't get a lot of pedicures I think the outcome looked pretty good. One thing that kind of disappointed me was that the leg massage that came with the pedicure lasted only a couple of minutes. But the main reason why this is a 2 star place is I question the cleanliness of this place. It wasn't super dirty but everything looked extremely old and used and the towels were so thin that they were almost see through. And when the woman scrubbed my foot she used hand sanitizer. Again, I don't get a lot of pedicures but I don't ever remember someone using Purell to scrub people's feet. It was okay for $25 but I think I'll try another place next time. read more

I never ever write reviews but I'm so angry I have to put one. I put one star because I did get seated right away and the staff were very friendly but the pictures below I took on Sunday, I got these done Friday late afternoon. This is a no chip manicure? I literally relaxed all weekend so no excuse for this to chip already!!! You completely mutilated my skin around my nails when they didn't have any skin popping up to begin with. They are literally in pain to this day! The colors chipped already by Sunday! Not to mention I couldn't even hear my own thoughts with the blasting club music in there. I never did go back to my former salon after writing my last review and an update is way over due considering I've been coming here ever since. Cyndi made a believer out of me. I've been seeing her exclusively and can say without a doubt, she is the only person I will have work on my nails. I haven't had ONE issue since seeing her. Heidi is great too. I probably shouldn't admit this - - but at times when I've been too busy to see her, even at 2 1/2 weeks..my nails have remained in great shape... A true sign of a fabulous nail tech. She is fast and efficient and I love that I can be in & out in 30 min. I ALWAYS call first to make appointments and that is KEY because it gets very busy here. On occasion, I've had to wait 5-10 min...not a big deal. If I must be out in a hurry, I let her know first. Highly recommend apts. Cindy may come across as rushed or abrasive at times, but I've really gotten to know her, so I never it take it personally and I'm only here because she truly knows what she's doing. It's rare if I have any nail art, but I've seen her work and she can paint virtually anything flawlessly. This is not a high-end salon. Very casual. Nothing modern. They've repainted at least 3 times since I've been coming here. While it may look like an older salon, they are clean and always super busy. Obviously people come here for a reason. I really like this salon. It's my new spot to get my manicures and pedicures. I started going a few months ago and I think they are even better than where I was going before. They stay pretty busy, but it's never so full that I'm turned away. I still haven't figured out pricing, because it seems like it's a different cost every time I come. I think there's a difference by the day of the week, but I recall it being between $35-38 for a mani/pedi combo. Despite using regular polish, I can typically go about 2 weeks before my fingernails need any touch ups. There is an older lady there who is my favorite, but all the other techs have done a very good job. I think there was only one that I wasn't crazy about, but her work was still better than what I've found elsewhere recently. Provided price and quality remain relatively consistent, I don't see any reason to look any further for my nail needs. read more

i really want to give this place more stars, but i just can't. i have been coming here for some years now and my biggest problem is inconstancy!! you never know what quality service you might get today. Cyndi is a bit rude, but that's just her attitude and no big deal. Marissa is very cheerful and nice. The guy, don't know his name must be a mute, because i don't think ive ever heard him say 3 words to a customer. i wouldn't care about any of that if i could rely on their quality; you never know what you are going to get. one day you will leave with perfect no-chip. another time, it's all uneven and doesn't cover the entire nail. sometimes their cuticle trimming is perfect; and another time it's way too much. and it doesn't matter who you get. inconsistent with every person that i have used there. also, i have a problem with their scheduling. this place can get pretty busy, so scheduling an appointment is kind of a good idea. but i think their appointment book is just there for... giggles. i either have to wait, or i am rushed, because their next appointment is there, or because someone who has made an appointment has showed up but they don't have a record of scheduling them and are now double-booked, so i am rushed. don't expect any kind of massage with a manicure. the reason i keep going back, is because most places are so much worse. plus, it seems that they sterilize their tools (unless you have your own set there). although, speaking of cleanliness, i don't think they always properly clean their pedicure sinks - so i make sure to always ask them to clean it for me. also, when you pick out your color, make sure it's not too think or looks like the bottle is really old - they dilute their polishes too much (even the no chip). which makes the color look spotty and/or chip too quick. i would recommend that you try them out, chances are they are better than most read more

I've been going Cyndi's on and off for many, many years... I'm not a regular only because I am a serious nail biter. I have gone to plenty of nail salons throughout my life, but Cyndi Nail is my favorite. Location is perfect, it has been close to every suburb I've lived in. Also conveniently located off of 290. They are reasonably priced, have tons of colors and styles to choose from, very detail oriented, and clean. Parking is abundant, the salon is located in a strip mall Everyone working there is nice but can be mistaken for aggressive and rude. The owner Cyndi tells it like it is.. I don't mind. Each worker speaks their language to one another from across the room. But the staff does engage in conversation with you, if you want. I usually watch TV or pay attention to the work being done. Cyndi cracks lots of jokes, heh. I do not recommend her husband Bryan or the elderly lady.... I've had bad experiences with them and so have people I know. Everyone else is great and works wonders My mother is a regular and gets the no chip. She loves this place.. My one girlfriend comes here too, once in a while. I absolutely LOVE it here! I have been to a couple other nail salons, but Cyndi's tops them all. The salon is very clean and well decorated. They are very quick to get you going on what you want. The plus for me was they have about 40 different kinds of tips for gel nails. They take very good care of you and listen to what you want. I also got told that if for any reason my nails crack or break, I can come in and get it fixed for free. I also had a pedicure, and it was amazing! They had no issue what so ever with me when I changed my mind at the last second with what colors I wanted. The prices were cheap and the service was excellent! Cyndi and Brian are always very polite and do good work. Cyndi is creative and has good ideas when it comes to colors or nail art if I'm stuck on what to do with my nails. Once she stayed there for an additional hour past closing time on a Saturday night just to finish mine and my mother in law's nails. Which she absolutely didn't have to do. I show Cyndi my nail design ideas and she doesn't complain or try to convince me to do something more simple just because it's easier for her. Whereas at other salons, they have come off very rude when I ask for something "complex" in my nail design and try to get me to do something different that won't take as much of their time or effort even though I'm paying for it. They are reasonably priced and offer many different ways you can pay (Venmo, QuickPay, cash, credit, etc.) so it's super convenient. Always a great experience for me! read more

Developed significant staph infection 24 hrs following pedicure. When I went in to notify the owner, she demanded to look at my toe, proceeded to touch the infected toe with her bare hands despite my pleas not to touch without gloves. After she threw 25.00 at me without washing hands, went back to her customer to do her nails....without washing her hands!!!! She states this was not their fault "as we didn't make you bleed." I should have asked for reimbursement for my antibiotic and urgent care visit. read more

Underwhelming experience. I was rushed thru a pedicure by a tech who was looking for their next customer. He didn't use the callus remover that was included in the price. I got the orange pedicure. For an extra 5 dollars there is really no difference between orange and basic pedicure. Consistency is also lacking here. Last time I got orange pedicure I had hot stones. This time no. SERIOUSLY HAVE NEVER HAD BETTER NAILS. Cyndi did my nails directly when I walked in and it was my first true set of acrylics and I struggled picking out shape and length and then color! She walked me through everything and how it would make my hand look with different shapes and she was a huge jokester! I would go back just for her attitude because it's perfectly funny! She told my friend who had a longer set of acrylics to always keep them long so you can "cut tha boyfriend when you need to" as cydni says haha! $40 for An entire new set- and tiger eye nails that are amazing in sunlight and different reflections. Her polish collection is to die for, I don't want to have to spend the money yet for another polish change so I'm patiently waiting for my nails to grow so I can go right back to cyndi for my fill in already! I was happy to find this place at first. Cyndi was quick and I had good results. She was always busy and I often felt rushed but as long as she did a good job I had no problem with being moved from seat to seat etc. The last time I was in was completely unprofessional though! I will never return. Cyndi knows me. I never miss an appointment, am patient and never complained about anything, The evening I was there I was rushed like never before. She seemed very upset that I wanted to go from a dark to a light color (now I realize it was because the color has to all be removed for the lighter color to look good and she didn't want to take the time to do that) There were red lines on the sides of my nails so the crème color on my nails looked terrible. I bumped my newly painted nail on something and she literally made a noise in disgust. I'm human - she should understand that no matter how busy she is! I understood that all the times she rushed me through or cut my nails too short etc. I will never go back. Great place to get your nails done. Sometimes there's a wait but not often. Everyone is friendly, even other customers are easy to talk to. They gave me a nickname of "ice mama" cause I left my phone accidentally and they saw one of my phone entries was " ICE Husband ". For "in case of emergency" husband. So now I'm ICE MaMa. The last time I was in there it was packed, so I walked in and said "Can you do eyebrows?" meaning did they have time, not asking if they did the service. I love Cindy! I actually don't come here for my nails (I feel there's better places that can do nails) but I come for all my waxing needs. She is amazing. Quick and affordable and makes you feel so comfortable. She is pretty talkative and can make you laugh while getting a Brazilian. It's already an awkward thing so why not add in a few laughs. The more you go to her the cheaper her rates are!! I mean $30 for a full Brazilian?! Who can beat that here in the Chicago burbs! This place is absolutely TERRIBLE. I have gone a couple of times because my friend suggested them but each time I went my service was terrible. I've had numerous nail techs do my nails at this place and each one did worse than the other. And when I tried to explain the imperfections in my nail they get mad, start talking about you and gawking at you and actually make you PAY to fix your nails! Not to mention the place is dirty and they reuse nail tools on different clients right in front of you. I've been going to Cyndi Nail for years and I am a very loyal customer. The staff is friendly and entertaining. They listen to your request and offer helpful suggestions when they need to. In the end they do what you request even if they don't advise it. They work fast because they're usually busy but they continue to be consistent and do a great job.. I have never left unsatisfied. I will say that the sass can be a little intimidating but it's all in good fun. I've never seen them be rude to anyone. At the end of the day they are professionals, they want you in and out but also to look good.
