Beautiful park next to Jeffrey trail open space . Nice cute little play area . Easy parking . Bonus point - you can watch 4th of July fire works from here .

This community park is fairly new and has a lot of amenities for the surrounding community. They have a basketball court, baseball field, volleyball court, tennis courts, tot-lot playground, lit walking paths, low-cut grass, charcoal grills, picnic tables, public restrooms, doggy bags, and a staffed community center. The parking lot has ample parking, albeit can be crowded when there are games going on, but there is street parking in the surrounding area. My coworkers play basketball here every week and they decided to invite some of us to stop by for a BBQ. I brought my dog, Suki, to the park and she had a great time sniffing around. We walked around to check it out before meeting up with my coworkers. We grilled up some burgers and hot dogs on the charcoal grills. Bring your own charcoal. The bathrooms at the community center are clean and there are water fountains with cold water nearby. You can rent sporting equipment too. They have recycle bins for you to separate your trash as well. The park is a good size if you want to go for a walk, run, or people watch. It's just nice to be outside. This park is located off of Jeffrey Rd. and Roosevelt near the 5-FWY, but you don't hear the street noise which is great.

This is a super excellent park in my neighborhood I don't really want to share with the masses, but I'm posting this review anyway. It feeds into Jeffrey Open Space Trail @ Roosevelt for biking/walking and is the anchor / sports park for the Cypress Village neighborhood. It has a lot of tennis courts which are popular and 1 basketball court. It has two full-featured baseball diamonds, which are often used for high school / club games or tournaments. Diamond #2 also has a soccer field attached (these two can be combined to play cricket, which I've also seen). There is a walking path encircling pretty much the entire park. I haven't clocked it to see how big it is, but I'd guess just over 1/2 a mile. Many people don't walk in circles here because it's adjacent to JOST which is more fun and better exercise than just walking in a circle. They have a really cool tots playground which is amazingly fun for little ones. Not really cut out for kids 7+, but there are other parks in this village for that. There are a fair amount of bbq areas which are good for pop-up tents if you want shade. There are a few picnic tables, but not many. I think you can reserve a spot if you call ahead if you really really want to do a group bbq. Dogs are allowed but PLEASE put your dog on a leash! There are other dogs, children, bikers, etc. around. I already saw two dogs off leash last time I took my dog here, and he (and I) were none the wiser and almost got jumped. There are also various park & rec fitness / knowledge going on during the week which take up quite a few parking spaces so be aware, the lot is not huge. Then on weekends when they have many baseball or soccer games (and tennis and playground visitors) there is a severe lack of parking. Be aware if you park on Visions and park close to the crosswalk, you're likely in a no parking area. Park across Roosevelt or in the middle school parking if all the spots are taken and you need to park. Pro tip: This park is about to get overrun with a lot more people because they just built low-income housing right next to it that is poised to open August 2015. So get to it while you can while the getting's really good...

This a huge park, adjacent to Jeffery Open Space Trail, so you can get to it from the trail, or park in the car park. There are shades over the play equipment. I didn't go during midday, so I can't say how much of it that it covers, but for sure - the slides get super hot. Overall it's a decent park - it has swings for bigs and littles, a sandy area, a rock climbing area for the more daring and of course, play equipment for 2-5 & 5-12 year olds. I'm always bummed because the equipment is always just a bit too big for my 17 month old to safely play on alone, but that's not a problem unique to this park.

Thank you to Amy for helping us get our soccer gear to the field and keeping the lights on for us to set up. You are AMAZING!

Great park. They have excavators for the sand. Nice and clean and the kids here are well behaved.

Hands down one of the cleanest, most convenient parks in the Irvine area!…read more There are several baseball fields, tons of gated tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, countless picnic areas that are numbered for parties and gatherings. I think what makes this park stand out is the crowd. Any park can be beautiful but, without the proper maintenance from the park crew (and most importantly the park goers) it doesn't stand a chance. You see tons of regulars here with their dogs, families, kids. Everyone is friendly and respectful of one another. The dog crowd at this park is also one of the best I've seen. Although the park is not off leash, there's wide open areas for you to allow your fur family to play catch, run around, and have a bit of freedom! They do have a couple of posts that have doggie bags however, they run out quick so please do come prepared with your own poop bags just in case! There are plenty of water fountains throughout with water filling stations attached, so don't forget a bowl for your fur family!!

There were quite a few cars in the lot already. However, we didn't see a lot of people milling around as the park covers quite an extensive area. The park features a flower garden with a fountain near its center. Beyond that are several picnic shelters amidst an elaborate children's playground. Further on, there is a large expanse of grass area amidst soccer fields, base ball diamond and tennis courts. There are paved walk paths through out the complex that winds up and down the various terrains. Overall it's a nice place to enjoy a leisure walk!

Last Tues was their ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating 8 brand-new public pickleball courts in Irvine. + Tall fences to minimize ball-on interferences. + Many tables and benches to sit around. + Many clean restrooms 1-3mins walk away. + Enough baseline room for retrieving lobs. . Okay sideline room for ATPs. . Wide skill range there, from novices to high-intermediate players. - LONG wait. Since the first day, crowds rushed in to line up for open play. The rack is already full with 30+ paddles. + During middle of the day (lunchtime), it's empty. . Only one rack queue for all 4 (or 8) open-play courts. - Starting yesterday (Fri 2/6/26) the other 4 courts became reservation crts. -- On the first day, it was chaotic. My paddle was first in line. A game ended and someone called next 4 and gave me my paddle. I turned to hop on an open court, but no court was open. I turned back and the queue had already shifted along, so there was no spot at the front for me to put my paddle back. I asked around. One person said he was in the same situation, then he grabbed an open 4-paddle holder to put his paddle back in front of the line. I tried to put mine in, but he kept blocking me out to let his folks put theirs in. I was dumbfounded, disgruntled, distraught. No one cared to help my situation. An Irvine city employee walked by, and I explained my situation to him. He couldn't offer much help. After a few min, I accepted my miserable situation and put my paddle back in the end of the line. I only got to play 1 game that day. - The city employees should've known better. Keep 1 or 2 members monitoring the hectic paddle queue to ensure no one gets cut in line. . Moral of the day: before removing your paddle from the front of the line to hop on the next court, make sure you know which court # you're going to, make sure the ppl there are leaving, make sure the other 3 ppl in your group of 4 are going with you. . Idea: If you do wind up in my situation, and you've already lost your place in line, one thing you can try is grab an empty 4-paddle holder, squeeze it in to the front of the line, and put your paddle in. Offer any 3 random ppl (who are already near the front of the line) to join your 1st-place paddle holder. If people object, explain your sad situation first. If they remain adamant, I guess the mission's a no-go, then you'll end up having to return your paddle to the end of the line. I'm only just thinking of this idea now. Didn't get to try it while I was caught up in the moment. Hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.
