He asked for the old tire to take home; not too pleased with that request but he did get the tire. Subsequently, we went to the dealer to have them look at the tires to see if they needed replaced. The dealer did fix the flat tire and we had them put the original tire back on the vehicle. They stated all four tires were at worst at half life. Firestone stated the tires were at 2/32 and the dealer measured the tread depth at 4/32 and 5/32 when inspecting the tires! Needless to say, we will NEVER return to the 50th and L location. It's sad they took advantage of an elderly man!!

I made an appointment on a Wednesday for 6 pm that Friday. I ended up being early by about 30 minutes and they had no problem getting me in right away. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and, most importantly, the bill I got was exactly what the online estimate had been, down to the penny. They offered me a warranty, which I declined, and that was the end of that. I didn't feel pressured to buy the warranty or any other unnecessary services or upgrades. The annoying sales tactics at a lot of car places is a huge pet peeve of mine, so they get major bonus points for not engaging it that. Since they close at 7 pm, I anticipated that I would drop my car off and pick it up the following day. When I went to confirm this with the woman at the front counter, she stated they had planned on getting it done that night, but I could pick it up the next day if I preferred. My husband and I decided to wait and just hung out in the area for an hour and a half. We called to check the status after about an hour (we were still really skeptical they were going to be able to install the tires in an hour and 15 minutes) and were told it would be ready around 7. We arrived at 7 and it was done within 5 minutes, which actually meant the mechanic and front desk woman stayed a little late to accommodate us. I have been driving on the tires for a few weeks and am very happy with the quality of the tires and have had no issues thus far.
