I have used Firestone for everything on all of my vehicles. I have been going to 132nd and 144th for 18 years. The customer service is amazing and I have they never recommend anything I haven't needed. There are times things maybe a little more expensive because you are paying for quality. I'm a believer in if something is too expensive try fixing it yourself. Keep in mind anyone business will tell you what they think you want to hear to continue to keep you coming back. After, 18 years and no issues I feel confident saying Firestone hires trustworthy, competent, and qualified employees. The ones who show otherwise, are generally gone in a month. My husband made a 9 AM appointment and was finally seen after 11AM. We had one flat tire with a nail and only 19K miles on this leased vehicle. Firestone said all 4 tires were bad and they refused to just fix the flat tire. We needed the vehicle and my husband had them put on one tire, $140. He asked for the old tire to take home; not too pleased with that request but he did get the tire. Subsequently, we went to the dealer to have them look at the tires to see if they needed replaced. The dealer did fix the flat tire and we had them put the original tire back on the vehicle. They stated all four tires were at worst at half life. Firestone stated the tires were at 2/32 and the dealer measured the tread depth at 4/32 and 5/32 when inspecting the tires! Needless to say, we will NEVER return to the 50th and L location. It's sad they took advantage of an elderly man!! read more

just got an oil change. when I went to pick up my car no one was at the front and the guy was in the garage talking to a bunch of other guys. no one was working on cars. when he finally notices (I think another guy was like hey someone's up front) he comes over to check me out and asks if I'll be using card I said no I have cash and he said, and I quote: "aw you suck so bad that's just making my job harder in the end." We came in without an appointment for a flat tire and Lisa behind the desk was so nice. They were able to work us in, originally quoting most of the day before finishing (which we expected without an appointment and were totally fine with) but ended up being done within an hour. It ended up only being about $20 since they could repair the tire. Great experience overall. read more

Basically pulled my car in, broke off a few clips and the dipstick, charged me $4000+. Still having the same issues plus more now. I am now worse off than before we went in. No quality workmanship , lack of honesty. Do not recommend. We went to 144th & Maple location. read more

I replaced my tie rod ends and needed an alignment, I called about every shop in the area to get the alignment done and everyone was booked for days and refused to do it including other Firestone shops. I was hesitant to use this shop due to the poor ratings but I finally called this one and they told me they would get it done for me even though they didn't have any appointment times available. I dropped my truck off around noon and they called back within 2 hours to come pick it up. Very pleased with the service and will be using them from here on out. read more

The guy at the front desk lied and said he couldn't change my tire because he didn't have a jack big enough. It was right before closing time and he just didn't want to do it. Why buy tires from a place with no customer service? The answer is don't. read more

"Fundamental Honesty is the Keystone of Business" - Harvey Firestone On September 20th, my wife noticed that a screw was stuck into one of her car's tires, and the Tire Pressure Meter Sensor (TPMS) indicated, it was losing pressure. Normally, we go to the Firestone Shop on W Maple street, but that day the place was very busy, thus, she decided to go to the shop, located in WEST CENTER Rd. After a quick inspection, she was told the tire was impossible to repair. She had to buy a new one. By the way, she wasn't told of any other issue with the car. She was told that the model of the old tire was discontinued, but they will give her a similar, newer model. She bought a new tire. As soon as she left the shop, the Tire Pressure display in her car's dashboard indicated that the TPMS for the new tire, was missing. She went back to the shop and told that to MIKE, the manager in charge, about the issue. He told her that the TPMS was already damaged when she brought the car. She requested a copy of the inspection log. After a while in the garage, MIKE returned with a piece of paper, with the inspection and repairs log, all of it written in PRINTED BLACK ink, except for a little HAND-WRITTEN note, in BLUE INK saying that he TPMS was "DAMAGED ON ARRIVAL". A clear evidence of trying to fool my wife. In addition, the sensor was working perfectly well that day because she noticed of the losing of pressure, by the same sensor. It was until the tire was replaced that the part failed. Also, MIKE said that the sensor probably failed due to the "wear and tear". So, how can he explain, that the other sensors haven't fail yet? So, MIKE said that he would charge $140 more to fix the sensor. I told my wife to forget about it, we would fix it later, since we were moving to Kansas City the next week. We would have it fixed there, never go back to MIKE's "FIRESTONE" shop. During the week, we started to see weird behavior in the electronic system of the car. The pressure indicator in the dashboard displayed intermittently, sometimes on and others off. But when it gone off the radio gone completely mute. Then after a while, the dashboard gone completely off. Regarding the NEW TIRE, we also saw that it wasn't the correct width and height, but we weren't sure, since it was a "new model". On the road, from Kansas City to Omaha, the Tire Pressure indicator started displaying a very quick lose of pressure in the NEW TIRE. I stopped to check it with a manual gauge and effectively, the tire was quickly losing a lot of pressure. We continued our way to Kansas City, stopping every 20 or 30 miles to inflate the tire, until finally we arrived. On the next day we went to a Firestone Shop in Kansas City. After an inspection, the manager at the shop told us that effectively: - MIKE sold my wife the WRONG SIZE tire. - MIKE lied about the model of the tire being discontinued. - MIKE'S Technician BROKE THE TPMS of my wife's car. - The "New" tire wasn't correctly balanced, nor aligned. - The technician ripped the line of brakes fluid by forcing the tire in. - The tire was incorrectly mounted, thus the loss of pressure. The KC Firestone Manager said that after seeing all these issues, he had to call "MIKE" and reprimand him for his dishonesty and the unacceptable quality of work done. The manager at KC Firestone, replaced the tire, replaced the TPMS and fixed the brakes line. Electronical issues, due to the faulty sensor, were fixed. IN SUMMARY, MIKE doesn't respect the KEYSTONE TO FIRESTONE BUSINESS: HE WASN'T FUNDAMENTALLY HONEST TO MY WIFE. After all this, I would not doubt that MIKE would be capable of TRICKING MY WIFE into buying a new tire and new sensor. If you don't want to be tricked by MIKE, DON'T GO TO THIS SHOP. read more

I've brought several of my vehicles here over the years. Too many times for someone giving a 3 star review. That being said I've been hard pressed to find a decent place to take my vehicle too. For an oil change, tire rotation, alignment they are not bad. Though we've had our issues. Definitely do not take your vehicle here if you need something bigger. I've had a couple bad experiences. I just keep going back though. I guess they are conveniently located, fairly quick and overall not bad prices. Just use caution. Seems like the staff turns over often so you never know what you'll get. read more

I brought my car in to the Firestone on 130th and Center for a new alternator. When I got it back from them, the air conditioner no longer worked. I called this to their attention thinking maybe something got unplugged or knocked loose during their work. I brought it back for them to see what was wrong and make it right. They claim it is unrelated to the work they did. Just coincidence that it should die on the very next drive upon getting the car back from them. They want an additional $190 to fix the A/C expansion valve, which worked fine when I first brought it in. I'll let somebody else do the work. I took it to another shop to look into the A/C situation. They noticed my engine cooling fan was not running. Firestone left it unplugged when they installed the alternator. And with the engine cooling fan unplugged, the A/C doesn't work and gives a false reading on the expansion valve. Firestone completely overlooked their mistake even after I brought it back to them. The other shop also noticed that the valve cover gasket was leaking oil onto the new alternator; the root cause of the first alternator failure, apparently a known issue for my car. Without replacing the gasket, this alternator would have a short life. So I had them replace the gasket. So I had to pay a total of $529.57 to the other shop for them to diagnose and repair a problem Firestone caused (Engine Cooling Fan), and to fix the root cause of the original failure (valve cover gasket). Both issues were missed by Firestone, even after I brought it to Firestone for the 2nd time. Firestone wanted to charge me $190 for a repair that was not needed (A/C expansion valve), in a misguided attempt to fix a problem THEY CAUSED. And Firestone failed TWICE to notice they had not connected my Engine Cooling Fan, a mistake that could have caused serious damage to my car. I submitted a complaint to their Customer Service. I promptly got an email back asking for my phone # and mailing address, and saying I would get a response within 48 hours. I responded with the info they asked for. That was 2 weeks ago. Came in for an oil change. The pizza delivery guy was most important over customers. Garage full of cars in need of service and guys are setting on work tables doing nothing. When asked how long it would take for my oil change he said a few hours then went to go eat pizza with the rest of the crew. Wow! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. if I could give firestone negative stars I would and believe me this issue isn't resolved and I am not going to drop it! So I unfortunately had to go on a road trip due to a death in the family. I decided to take my car to firestone and get my oil and a couple of my lights changed before the trip. They took at least 2 hours and they didnt even change my light that they charged me 85 dollars for but I had my 1 year old with me and she was getting very impatient and hungry so we left and her father changed my light. I'm not one to make a big deal of things.later on I get a call from Cusromer service saying that they had put recalled oil in my engine and that I need to come in so they could flush it and give me 2 free oil changes and a 100 dollar gift card. So I go in and it takes them 3 hours to change the oil. They sent me home. Usually I have md my bf at the time change my oil. Well after a couple days my engine starts knocking......hard. it's bad. So I take my car to jensen and have them check it out. They said that they could see the metal flakes in my engine and that I would have to call firestone because it was a "direct result of the recalled oil" so I jump on the phone and call firestone where they assure me that they would send the complaint in and gave me a claim number. Well I decided to call corporate and see and they tell me they have no confirmation number for me. (Mind you I have all of these conversations recorded) I have called them about 100 times. They sent an inspector out to meet me about 4 months later. Said he would have the results back to me in the next couple days and guess what.... NOTHING. THEY HAVE SAID NOTHING. Mind you a new engine will cost me 6000 dollars and which is unfortunately what I owe on my car. I am getting a lawyer. This has been going on for more than a year. Moral of the story. Never ever ever ever go to firestone. They dont care about anything but themselves. I am making a post on every single social media platform and complaining about how they treated me. read more

The company is overpraised. Just a little but enough to spoil the good impression from the quality of the service and customer treatment. I am not a regular with Firestone. About 3 mounts ago I used their services by accident - i was in a hurry and they were the nearest location. Just to add, but they have a really good location with easy access and a lot of parking place. Now back to the review. My car was out out of power. The engine was running very on kind an a warning mode. I parked there and left my car. In few days the car was ready and the engine sounded like a tiger ! The bill was like a tiger too. No matter of that, I am really impressed by the service and the great timing. read more

I would not go here for anything but tires and then I would look around for a better place. I took my vehicle in for a grinding that I could feel in the steering. I told them I thought it was a bad wheel bearing. They said the rack and pinion was bad. They had my vehicle for a week and could not get a new rack and pinion to steer without in knocking. They finally discovered they were missing parts for the rack. Duh. Then, once I got it back, the problem grinding problem existed. Took it back and guess what, it was a bad wheel bearing. Finally fixed after $1200. Then, a brake caliper seized and took it to another place that did my brakes (under warranty from 9 months ago) and they said the brake fluid was contaminated with oil or some other fluid. Firestone was the last place to work on it. The other place said if they had done it, it would have manifested earlier than this. Since Firestone was last to work on it just 2 weeks ago, it had to be them. They had to take the brakes off to do the repairs. They would not admit to it. DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE IF YOU WANT YOUR VEHICLE TO WORK/RUN PROPERLY. read more
