    Countertop glass

I wanted to add an additional kitchen cabinet. Bruce, the installer came to do the measurements and design. He gave me the measurements for the cabinet glass and I bought the glass pieces. When he came out to install, he said that he gave me the glass measurements just to check the price, not to buy. The glass door panels did not fit, the other glass shelving and counter top fit fine. We went back and forth about who's fault it was that the cabinet door glass did not fit. As Bruce installed the countertop glass he left all sorts of crude and dust underneath it. The glass can't be lifted by hand so Bruce suggested glass lifters. I also requested the plastic shelf holders that originally came with the cabinet just in case I wanted to go back to wood shelving. So I got over the glass not fitting, and the debris underneath the countertop but what I can't get over are the plastic shelf holders that appeared thrown on my front porch. I stepped out of my house on top of the shelf holders. This was very poor customer service. I believe Bruce's service would have been better if I was not a single, black female. D&D sent another installer out to hang the cabinet doors and fix the trim. My cabinet is beautiful but the customer service from Bruce was not good.

My cabinet is broken and I played phone tag with the women referred to me from the builder. My cabinets aren't in warranty but over a week ago she said she would have the broken piece delivered to my house. I'm still waiting! Since the end of August! Maybe this will get attention of a manager

We purchased a brand new home in the Natomas Meadows community and our upgraded cabinets were provided by D&D. We received some of the worst new cabinets I have ever seen. Please see the attached pictures. They are blotchy, chipped, and discolored. They told us that the corners of the brand new cabinets are sharp, which causes the paint to chip. As a remedy, they have offered to replace a few of the cabinets and provided us with a coloring kit for the chipped cabinets. Yes, a coloring kit! Please see attached. My jaw dropped to the ground in disbelief. I had no idea I would have to color in my brand new upgraded cabinets. We hope everything will be remedied. However, at this point things do not look promising. Will update review once they have attempted to repair everything.

this is no joke after 13 years. we got exactly what we ordered literally down to micro inches.

Horrible customer service. Cannot get a return phone call and once somebody did answer the phone they were less than helpful and rude.

I love my kitchen and I've also approached him about a future project. I had a basic 1970's era condo kitchen-outdated but can't really change the footprint. I tried to revive it with refacing. It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts! That's how I found Sacramento Millworks. His price for my project was comparable to the quotes I received for stock cabinets. Raymond is a carpenter and a designer. Because of his experience, he handled everything. He walked me through everything, including a trip to the granite and tile shops. I just picked colors. He was very patient. Most of contractors I've worked with recently send employees to do the work. They just pop in here and there until it's time for payment. Raymond was on site working with one helper everyday. I really appreciated that!

From the very first visit, Paul set himself apart from other contractors I had met with -- he arrived fully prepared with a variety of material and color samples, thoroughly explained the refacing process, covered warranty details, took measurements, and even designed the layout, all in a single appointment. There was never any pressure to sign, which I genuinely appreciated. When questions came up after his visit, Paul responded quickly with a phone call followed by a detailed email complete with photos and examples. That level of follow-through is hard to find. Once I signed the contract, Jaime came by to confirm measurements and listen to my ideas, translating them into a well-defined project plan. The results speak for themselves -- everything was completed ahead of schedule. The cabinet refacing surpassed my expectations, and the material we selected not only looks stunning but feels great and is effortless to clean. The new coffee bar in the living room has become an absolute showstopper, and the added cabinets in the laundry area are both practical and well-crafted. Miguel, who handled the final installation, was a true professional -- communicative, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. The team wrapped up with a thorough walk-through and left everything immaculate. I've already recommended JV Cabinets to friends and family, and I would do so again without hesitation.

I probably would have broken something like a finger or my wrist. We came in early to purchase some items for the Laguna Lathe that I thought I needed and in doing so we met Nancy who very graciously took us in and started early. We were the only members in attendance so it felt like a private lesson session. Nancy went over all the safety items and explained what each part of the lathe is called and what it does. Nancy talked to us as a peer and not as a lowly beginner, which was very helpful and really made the session enjoyable. I was very nervous at first but Nancy gave us encouragement and pointed out what we were doing correctly and gently explained what could be improved. We wound up making mallets instead off the ball that was pictured in the class description. That was a welcome surprise. Overall we learned a great deal and now have the confidence to continue making turned objects. My next project will be something not sure yet. But I know it will 'TURN" out great thanks to Nancy's help and training.
