Did I say these folks have great pizza? Yes, I did. We have been visiting in the area and we ordered pizza from them twice and both times it was fantastic. I am a vegetarian so I get pizza only with veggies and cheese and the pizza crust is just the way I like it, thick and easy to chew. There was plenty of cheese and a good variety of veggies. After returning home with my order, I opened the bag with my fries, and they were all burnt - every single fry was dark brown, overly crispy, and overcooked. But, surprisingly, the hamburger I also ordered was okay. FYI - Never ask a person of color if their hair is natural (real) or not. It's very off-putting and rude! Ordered delivery last week for my son's birthday party - the delivery was very efficient. The pizza is old school Greek so expect a little oil otherwise it is really yummy and heats up well the next day. Good greasy food. Cheap. I went to D&D with a couple friends on my way to a kickball game, and honestly had pretty low expectations. We stopped there specifically because D&D reminded me of Dungeons and Dragons (lol), and the thought of dragon pizza gave me a chuckle. In all seriousness though, it was very cheap, and hit the spot. The chicken parm I had was cooked very well, and the pizza was surprisingly good. The woman at the front was also very friendly. You're getting what you're paying for however, it's a hole in the wall with very little seating and is questionable at first look. Best pizza in Watertown. Super nice guys, and really well run place. New menu items added in the past year, with new management too. Great new dispalys as well. Beat of all, the food has only gotten better - true healthy pizza with fresh ingredients. It is great how even the spinach and other vegetables are fresh and delicious for those of us who prefer a lighter pizza or salad. The "Billy's Spacial" is also a favorite of you want some meat and feta! Grilled chicken atop salads are great too, as are their wraps and rollups. I go hear multiple times a week, and no matter what I get I know it is fresh, nutritious, and Delicious. Really delicious medium crust "New London Style" type pizza but without the grease. I decided to try out D&D after going with another nearby pie shop for months. It did not disappoint. The fresh mozzarella really made the pizza. The pepperoni had excellent flavor, and the mushrooms were adequate. (I wondered whether they were canned.) And the crust is outstanding for dough lovers. I might have preferred a little less moisture. But, overall, I think D&D is my new go-to in the Watertown area. read more

So disappointed. I went in for my usual: Greek salad with homemade pita - yum. Usually there are the two women in the front and the man in the back. - always super friendly. This time there were two new men and the older man. I asked the older man where the women were, and he indicated, without saying too much, that the women have been gone for about a month, because these new men bought the place. I'm not sure if that is exactly the story, but it is what I understood. Up until today, whenever I ordered the Greek salad, every piece of lettuce, pepper, onion, etc, was fresh and crisp, with plenty of feta cheese and a fresh warm piece of homemade pita. The first thing I noticed about my salad today, was that there was not much feta. Then I noticed several pieces of lettuce were brown. Next, there is no more homemade pita. I got a tiny pice of day old pita. The kicker - no salad dressing in the bag. Now, I'm sure this was an oversight, but added to the list above, it made for a very disappointing experience. Finally, he rang up my order: salad and a Pepsi, I gave him my card, signed and left. It wasn't until I was driving that it occurred to my that I just paid $19 and change for a take-out pizza joint salad and drink? How the heck much do they charge now for a salad? It doesn't matter to me, because I'm never going back. What a shame. I used to love this place and the family who ran it. read more

I can't say enough good things about this sub shop. I have been going here at least 3 times a week for the past 6 months. I am currently eating one of their absolutely delicious BBQ Roast Beef subs. Their Grilled Chicken Salads are the best I've had in the area. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I haven't even gotten to the best part. Their customer service is the better than any restaurant I've ever been to. They are extremely friendly every time I see them. There was one occasion where they gave me the wrong sub. I didn't notice until I opened it at my office. I was fine with just eating the steak and cheese they gave me, but then I received a call at my desk from them saying they apologized about messing up my order and that they would be happy to deliver the correct sub. I told them it was fine, because I already ate the sub they had given me. They insisted to deliver it to me. I had it for dinner that night! I don't know how they were able to track me down, but all I can say is I cannot think of another pizza & sub shop that would ever do that. D&D is a breath of fresh air in the chain restaurant world we live in today. read more

So we took our chances. . . Ordered delivery on a Friday night at 730pm and got it as promised in half hour!!! Ding ding I'm already a happy customer. Small pizza is good for two adults (we have leftovers but got salad too). On the menu the pizza is described as thin crust pizza. However I would call it average thickness, the dough is light so it's sill not too heavy. Sauce is just right amount of sweetness. Lots of cheese, but yummy, I used my napkin got most of the grease off. And the salad! I don't think you can compare or find a Greek salad for a better price ($6.50) all ingredients were crisp and fresh, the feta was amazing, and ample!! Definitely impressed with the salad. I got a roll instead of the pita promised, so that was the only (very minor) disappointment. All in all it was a great experience, I will definitely be back!!! read more

SUMMARY: Pizza was solid, staff was extremely nice and price was good. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni, garlic and green peppers. It took only about 10 - 15 minutes to prepare. The pizza-master was nice enough to show us the pizza before boxing it up to see if we approved. It tasted pretty good, and it was less than $15. They also have a bunch of other menu items that I will likely try out in the future. They also do offer free delivery according to a sign in their shop. Ordered delivery from D&D for the first time tonight. The delivery was very prompt and arrived well before expected which was great! The food was disapppinting. The Greek salad was pricey for the quality of the food (basically a lot of iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, lots of feta, and a couple olives.) The fish in the fish and chips tasted pretty good but the rice had a yeast-like flavoring that wasn't my favorite. The buffalo chicken pizza was also okay. It was not very spicy and the chicken seemed like cut up chicken fingers. The crust was crispy and was really good. Overall, fine option if you're wanting a general pizza place. When she returned and told me that the 2.4 mile drive (9 minutes' drive according to Google Maps) from the restaurant to my place of employment was "too far" and "way out of the way," she couldn't have been ruder. Very unassuming neighborhood pizza place owned by a friendly Greek family. The pizza is traditional Greek - thin and light, not too sloppy - and also tastes good. They're running a grand opening large cheese special for $7 which is what I ordered and was not disappointed. My girlfriend, who is extremely difficult to please when it comes to pizza places, wassatisfied with her garden salad w/ chicken. Where most pizza joints will hammer you with nothing but iceburg lettuce, stale croutons and a measly portion of chicken, their salad consisted of a variety of fresh veggies and came with a soft, surprisingly not-rock-hard piece of pita bread. As of this very second, I am decorating the mansion I work in for Christmas. It is no easy feat; I went WAY overboard with the tree this year (16' high, about 12' in diameter). I'm usually not a fan of Greek pizza, but D&D has won me over. At $7.50 for a large cheese, it's a great deal. My favorite is the bacon pizza. Generous amounts of perfectly fried bacon, NOT bacon bits. We're talking slices of bacon goodness. The spinach pie is homemade and decent but I like Andreas pie better. I've heard the make fresh pita here as well, but I've never tried it. The owners are the nicest people, and try hard to please. I hope they survive here, because since Vito's closed several years back, that shop has seen many failures. Keep it up D&D! read more

Honestly, I want to give a better review than 2 stars, but I can't. The lady working the register was sweet as can be. They were fast, too. The eggplant parm sub I ordered was ready in about 5 minutes. The place looked clean enough. And did I mention that the lady working the front was very pleasant?; she didn't stop smiling. So, I asked for extra sauce and extra cheese on my sub, as I typically do with eggplant parm subs. I think she used sliced mozzarella and gave me a bit extra of that. I was kind of hoping for grated cheese, Parmesan or Romano, but they didn't seem to have it. I figured I'd chalk that up to them being Greek and not Italian. No stars subtracted for not being Italian. The sub came out, and, as she was about to wrap it, I noticed that the breaded eggplant, which may or may not have been those frozen discs or actually homemade, seemed pretty naked. I couldn't tell if it was premade discs or not from looking at it (without my glasses), which likely means it was home made. The discs are generally pretty recognizable. Anyway, I asked for more sauce, and the smiley lady said something to the effect of, "More than this?" to which I, looking at a sub that featured about 98% the brown of the discs, and maybe 2% any sign of sauce, said, "Yes, please." So, she, as grudgingly as a smiley person can, went back and added more sauce. Well, there's one star gone for being cheap with the sauce. So, she takes the sub, wraps it in a paper plate, wraps that in wax paper, and wraps that in a paper sub bag. I had a Boston Phoenix with me and a walk back to work, so I then wrapped the Phoenix around the sub bag with the wax papered and paper plated sub for easier carrying. Upon arriving at work to eat said sub, I noticed that the cover of the Phoenix was saturated with grease, as was the paper sub bag, wax paper, and paper plate. Gad! So greasy!!!!!!! Minus (at least) a second star. The sauce was bland, as was the eggplant. I don't know if it was low quality cheese or that they did not drain the eggplant on a paper bag or something before serving it, but it had to be one or both of those two contributing to the greasiest eggplant parm sub I've ever had. After seeing how greasy it was, I ate it? Well, what can I say, I was really hungry. And they didn't even pack a napkin in the bag!!! (Though, it likely just would have sopped up grease on the walk back to work.) So, for being bland and not packing a napkin, minus a third star. That leaves them with two, which is merciful, I think. If that lady wasn't so darned smiley, I think they'd end up with just one star, but a pleasant work disposition counts for a lot. So, I am sorry, D&D; I wanted to like you more, but you really only earned two stars. read more
