D&N Hot Wings is definitely worth checking out if you're a wing lover. This was my first time stopping in, and I was pleasantly surprised right away. These are not those tiny wings with barely any meat, you actually get a solid, meaty wing here, which immediately sets this place apart. The food itself was good. The wings were flavorful, well-cooked, and filling, and the portion size felt fair for what you're paying. There's a nice variety of flavors to choose from, so whether you like classic, spicy, or something a little different, there's plenty to explore. The vibe of the place is cool and casual, making it an easy spot to hang out, grab food, and enjoy a drink. Speaking of drinks, they also have a good drink selection, which pairs nicely with the wings and adds to the overall experience. Service, however, was a bit off. The guy helping us, who seemed like he may have been the owner or manager, came across as pretty unwelcoming at first. No real personality, not very engaging, and it felt a little awkward given that he's the front-facing interaction for the business. To his credit, he did warm up as things went on, but first impressions matter. Being a bit more lively and welcoming could make a big impact on the guest experience, especially for first-time customers. That said, the food ultimately carries this place. Between the generous wings, variety of flavors, and solid drink options, I'd still recommend stopping in and checking it out.

D&N Hot Wings is a must for any wing lover. The fire kicker and lemon zingers wings were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, and the fries were the perfect salty side. The service was quick and friendly which made for a great casual lunch experience. The vibe is laid back and comfortable for a quick bite with friends or a low key dinner. I will definitely be coming back for another round of their fire wings soon.

The wings were fire! Crispy fried to perfection. The inside was nice and clean, and the customer service was great.

Best wings in the Bay Area. No question. Hot Mama is the perfect spicy buffalo wing. Just the right amount of heat and so much flavor. Their Fire Break wings were perfectly crispy - my god, I've never had a wing fried this perfectly before. I got a side of Mango Habanero and it was unreal. Spicy, sweet but not too fruity, and so savory. These guys know wings and they do it all right. Perfect crisp, perfect flavor, perfect spice, and their ranch is to die for. I don't know why this place isn't more popular. Not just the best wings in the city but the best in the whole Bay Area, damn.

Really neat spot! It replaced a sushi restaurant from years ago. I like the options and how quick the food comes out. The staff are very nice and the place is clean. The mango habanero had a good kick and great flavor. The honey garlic could have been sweeter. I thought it was a bit salty for that specific flavor. It reminded me of light honey but more of a salty ginger taste. I wouldn't get that one again. But I do want to try other flavors. The wings are also huge which I loved! Wish they had more beer options, but not a deal breaker. Overall great spot!

I do not recommend this place! It has the worst customer service ever as you walk in. The Bald guy at the register taking orders was very disrespectful in hurrying us up to order! Mind you this is our first time in San Francisco and picked this place to try it out! But after that service, i do not recommend giving business to people who do not care about there customers!!

The service was rude, and the wings okay. I walk by this place everyday going to and from work. I was with my brother the other day, and we decided to give it a try. We came by at 1:30pm, so it was after the lunch rush and empty. A dude with tattoos and earrings didn't say a word, and just stared us down as we walked in and up the stairs to the counter. It was only after I said hi that he said something like welcome. It seemed like he didn't want us there. Maybe because he thought he was done for lunch service that day. We were already there though, so we decided to get takeout. When I ordered, I asked for two different six piece flavors, but I wanted to make one of them a combo to add fries. To that he said, "I have to start all over," and gave out a sigh, referring to how he had to reinput my order in his register device. I should have asked him why he had to tell me that and give me attitude, but at this point I wanted to limit my interactions with this disgruntled man. Even after I paid, he was unpleasant as he turned around to put my order together. I usually add a few dollars tip for takeout, but didn't hesitate to skip that screen. As we were waiting, a group of people with a large dog entered and started to chat with him. They seemed to know each other, and the dude told them that he's not feeling himself today. A few minutes later, when he handed me our takeout bag his demeanor changed a bit because he forced a smile and said that he was sorry about before. I appreciated the apology, but I wouldn't want to be treated like this again, especially when I try out someplace new. If he treats new customers like this once, he could easily do so again on his next bad day. As for the wings... they were okay. They had a nice crisp and distinct flavors, but they are similar to what you might get from Wingstop. It's a shame since the place could have been a spot I'd frequent since it's closeby, but I won't now, and I can't recommend any one else do so either.

Nothing better than nice hot and delicious chicken wings to warm up the body and the soul on a cold November night. D&N knows what they're doing and absolutely everything they make is delicious. The sauces are all incredible in their own way. The original buffalo has a small and pleasant kick while the Lunch Box is flavor packed and doesn't need anything else. I also tried he cauliflower bites much were superb and just as god as the wings if you're looking for a vege option. Come hungry because these wings are big and with even just six you will be full for the whole night.

I do not normally get good wings as I live outside the U.S., so when I am back in the U.S. a make a point to try and eat wings. This place had good ratings, so I thought I'd give it a try one weekday afternoon after the normal lunch rush. It's a no frills space, with a modern industrial interior, the type of place one would expect for a wing joint in downtown SF. The wings are not bad, but I was expecting them to be better. I will note, and maybe it's just because I am usually eating chicken outside of the U.S., but the wings are big - which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they seem unnaturally large. Also, as with most things in San Francisco, California, and the U.S. in general, it's pretty expensive - for wings, a beer, and a Topo Chico I paid something like $40. Summary: OK wings, nothing memorable in my opinion, and there is another chicken place not far from here that I would choose to go to before I came back to D&N.

6 wings and fries, tropical heat. The wings are meaty!
    Ashleigh S.

First time trying these wings. There is a $10 lunch special for a half order of wings and fries, only in weekdays. 6 wings in a regular order/3 in half. I was a little concerned at the amount until they came out. These wings are hefty. I was very satisfied with 3 wings and fries. Felt like a perfect lunch amount. We got the tropical heat (they say the most famous flavor). It was sweet and pineappley with a habanero heat after you eat. I liked it! Partner thought it was a bit spicy for him that day. By the end of the second wing, my lips were nice and tingly. So, do with that what you will about the spice level. There are a couple more flavors I'd really like to try: garlic rebel and hot mama (a buffalo sauce style). And at this price, looks like I have a new lunch spot. The worker was nice and down to earth. There are enough seats for maybe 24 people. The football game was on over the weekend. Seems very chill and low key and perfect for a few wings.

Buffalo wings are in my top favorite foods, and this has to be my new favorite wing spot in SF! The wings were big, plump, juicy, and had flavorful buffalo sauce on top. And not to mention, SALT AND VINEGAR FRIES?! These were heavenly. Definitely on the saltier side but oh so good. They do $2 off on Wednesdays 11-9pm, and a $10 lunch special 11-2pm! The interior was super clean, spacious, and had a lot of seating. The location js quite random in Fidi near East Cut Crossing. I'll definitely be coming back!!

This place is top tier, the wings were on point, buffalo sauce was phenomenal. The fries also have a crispy texture with nice crunch. This is definitely worth it. Also the staff were awesome, great service the atmosphere of this spot it excellent

The rustic/home style decor was very welcoming and it seemed that a lot of the folks knew the cashiers/barista! Some people even stopped by just to say hi and welcome back the barista that was on leave for a bit. I forget his name, but he was a lovely person to chat with! I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada ($12) and an iced latte with Oat Milk ($6). It took ~15-20 for my burrito but the latte came out within five minutes and was made fresh with Portrero Trade Operations coffee beans! While waiting, I ended up buying a bag of coffee beans with flavor notes that were so unique- "cola, tomato, and herbaceous". For $25 you get a whole pound of coffee beans, which most only offer 12oz now. Get a bag while you can! The breakfast burrito was served with one green and one red salsa plus a small bag of chips. The burrito was decently sized and very juicy. I was a bit sad to see that the cheese wasn't melted inside, but the fresh pico de gallo inside totally made up for it. The carne asada had a great bite to it and everything was seasoned well. The salsa verde was absolutely stunning. Not too acidic and just the right amount of spice to go with my burrito. I ordered for takeout, but next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going to consider dining in for the full experience.

My partner and I ended up getting the margarita pitcher deal that came with 50 wings... (Hear me out). We got pretty tipsy off of the pitcher because the bartender put in a lot of tequila. So it's definitely worth it. We ate as much wings as we could, and saved the rest in our own Tupperware. There was a sign at the bar telling patrons that you couldn't take out any leftovers, but when we spoke to the bartender, he told us that Tupperware would be extra charge so we were lucky that we brought our own at that time. Now, the wings: Some of them were pretty dry. I'm assuming the bar would cook them before the happy hour rush and then they would reheat them with the sauces that people ordered. My partner, and I tried the buffalo, lemon pepper, teriyaki, and mango habanero. The mango habanero was spicy and sweet. I think that was our favorite. I was a little disappointed with the lemon pepper because it was really salty. And the other two were pretty mid. The staff was really nice. The vibes were pretty nice. We were early to the happy hour so there wasn't that much people and we also sat outside in the back patio, which was pretty cool. I could definitely see this bar being a very popular spot. I think if you come here with a big group of people and get the margarita pitcher with the 50 wings, it's a pretty good deal splitting it out with your friends. They have other deals as well where you would get a certain number of wings if you ordered a beer or a beer pitcher, etc. We just wanted to get as many wings as possible and get tipsy lol. I recommend this spot if you're meeting up with friends or had a long day at work.
