This place has seen better days. The food has always been good but it doesn't stand out on busy Queen Street. I had a chicken Vermonter on a pita which was good but the pita fell apart as soon as I picked it up so I had to eat it with a fork. My husband had a lobster roll which was $35 for a "large." He said it was good but we've paid less at sit down restaurants where it comes with sides. Better option than Subway but I would rather go to Jersey Mikes when I feel like a sandwich (both of which are on Queen Street). read more

Not sure why it's been years since I updated this review, so here goes. Always a great sandwich with the occasional "problem" like this time....they messed up the small tuna sub and loaded it up instead of just provolone. course didn't find that out until the next day as this was the next day's lunch. If I could I would give zero stars. So disappointed. My #9 pocket was so soggy and the pocket was shredded. I couldn't even pick it up to eat. I also ordered broccoli cheddar soup. The lobster bisque had minimal lobster in it and just was bland. I couldn't even finish it. The brownies on the menu... I get they're prepackaged but they're just awful, not even sweet. OMG they never get my order right. I simply asked for a medium ham toasted bread with lettuce tomato mayonnaise. They either add cheese which I never asked for, I even sometimes say no cheese and they still put it on. Or they don't toast the bread after I specifically ask for to be toasted. read more

I hate cooking in the heat so I've gotten really good at ordering food this summer! As more and more restaurants offer local delivery, I think for me, it comes down to who is going to deliver my food in a timely fashion, while remaining cost effective and not compromising the quality of food. D'Angelos has surprised me with their prompt delivery times, and I have not been dissapointed once by the food. I would give them 5 stars but am a firm believer that there is always room for improvement. Lunch time delays are to be expected- maybe an hour delivery time rather than 25-30 mins. Shelby loves to sign for delivery, and more than once, the driver has cautioned her (us) about the bag being hot which I thought was very thoughtful on his part (plus she loves that he calls her ma'am"). I've been here a bunch of times. The food is very consistent. What this place has over the one in plainville is that it is updated and heavily staffed. My brother ordered a med tuna and a number 9 with everything except hot peppers at 6 pm. With my mom in the hospital with eight fractures I thought it might be a good idea to order instead of cooking. I have had a lot on my plate also being a doctor. My brother went and picked up the sandwiches at 615pm. A 9 pm I got ready to eat my sandwich and it was not right......all it has was steak cheese, ionoin an and mushrooms. I said my brother did NOT ORDER IT that way. How can we fix this? He said I have something against food service workers right in front of customers. I said I have the most respect for food service workers.....he just ignored me and kept on swepping the floor. Absolutely awful! The food was okay but the service... was barely there. We came here to eat while traveling through the area. The cooks were overwhelmed(with the time of day not being lunch or dinner hour) way too easily and obviously couldn't run the grill. The workers were being loud and obnoxiously bitching about the customers in their establishment!!! Extremely distasteful. The manager woman on shift was extremely rude to another customer when their order was not complete or right. The customer service was more inappropriate than I've ever experienced anywhere.
