On tour performing at the state fair and had the pleasure of stopping in here and all the locals told us it was to the "go to!" Spot! We were greeted kindly and ordered the red ale to start. This was a deelish brew and then my buddy got the corn beef hoarse-shoe and I got fries and an Irish coffee. I'm vegan but after talking to the Wednesday night crew and getting to know them/their menu is well diverse, made from scratch daily, and they can accommodate all types of dietary requests! Best horseshoes on earth! Really, best ever, and I've never had any problems with service either.

Great place for a quick bowl of chili with some crackers and just sit at the bar with an ice water. Very Good lunch(es) abound :-).

I've been here many times but not usually for lunch. The restaurant was crowded, always a good sign, but I didn't have to wait long. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by staff and engaged by fellow diners offering recommendations. Such a great atmosphere. They always have choices for their soups, as well as the chili which is a mainstay. I opted for a classic Reuben sandwich today. I sat down at 12:10 and had my food and beverage by 12:23. This is a great spot. Glad I found them. Nice Irish pub layout. My server Jenny was a total rockstar. Super personable and made a great recommendation with the menu. I went with her suggestion and got the Buffalo chicken horseshoe...I liked it so much I'm trying to figure out how to get back to Springfield. It was awesome. Holy smokes...a day later and I want another one. After I ate Jenny was patient enough to let me camp out for a few so I could get some work done. It's a big debate who has the best horseshoe-- and it's just simply D'arcy's! My fave is the Buffalo Chicken. I like to pair it with their unique sweet ranch they have! Nice clean place with super low prices and great service. The food was basically worth the super low price, at best. This is supposedly an Irish pub but the corned beef and cabbage was an embarrassment to Irishmen. It was deli corned beef heated up on a flat grill (like for a Reuben), bland mashed potatoes and a ton of boiled cabbage. But none were cooked together or had any of the traditional Irish flavor. Prob a great place for pub food but don't order any traditional Irish food and expect to get something Irish. read more

For sure a local must! The place was packed but we were able to find two seats at the bar. The margarita's on ice aren't awful! (Many place have terrible mix). We ordered the supreme horseshoes and they are for sure tasty and a local staple. The staff is kind and attentive. The bookmaker sandwich is tender, the au jus is perfect, not overly salty. D'ARCY's Pint is one of my favorite restaurants in Springfield IL. They have a great selection of pub food and craft beer. Their horseshoes are excellent and probably the best out of Springfield IL. I came back to Springfield IL to take care of some personal business, and met some old friends here for dinner. The craft beer I ordered was great, and the Supreme horseshoe was excellent! Our server was a spunky, fun little lady who gave us excellent customer service and took very good care of us! With Covid-19 guidelines in place, they had insulated plastic igloos on the patio for parties of two, which I had never seen before, but found it to be very interesting and creative for utilizing the covid-19 guidelines into place. I miss this restaurant very much, and hope to be able to make another visit to D'ARCY's Pint in the near future! read more

Very nice Irish pub, the wait staff and owner were great after there was a miscommunication on the time that they stop taking customers. The hostess said they stopped taking customers at 8 but they close at 9:00?? Kind of weird but after explaining that we chose their restaurant over others and that the clock just ticked 8:00 the owner seated us and it was great! We got the shoes, which was new and exciting. They are known for their horseshoes and their menu of horseshoes has even grown since I was here last. They have also very traditional Irish fair. Full bar. Don't be surprised if there is a wait at the door. There usually is. For a good reason. Our wait was 25 mins but got in I about 20 for a 4 top. The dining room is split but can be kinda noisy. I'll make it simple. D'arcy's is a MUST VISIT when in Springfield. Their horseshoes are the best in town. If you do not know what a horseshoe is you are missing out. Simply put, a horseshoe is an open faced sandwich on texas toast, covered in Fries and Cheese sauce. But it is SOOOO much more. Eating one is an out of body experience. Hamburger horseshoes are generally the standard a good place to start, but my personal favorite is the buffalo chicken horseshoe.
