We were really hoping DBat would be a great way to help our son get into baseball, but after a few visits and a camp day, we're officially done. From day one, it was clear that support for beginners just isn't there. We asked multiple times for help using the batting cages since we're not baseball savvy, and each time were met with the same answer: "It's easy" or "Just put him in and figure it out." No explanation, no guidance, just major attitude. I felt like an inconvenience, not even a customer! We signed our son up for a summer camp hoping it would be a better, more structured experience. Unfortunately, it was just more of the same. At drop-off, staff couldn't find his name on the list and didn't have any formal check-in process. When we offered to walk him back (his first day!), we were told to just send him alone to "find the group." Once we found the group, it was hard to tell who was even in charge since there was no clear staff IDs or supervision. At pickup, we saw kids swinging bats way too close to each other with no one actively managing what was going on. Our son wanted to try the cages again, so we asked for help, this time from a front desk associate (white guy with a curled mustache), and we were once again met with a cold attitude. When we asked about private lessons that we'd be willing to pay for, his only response was "whatever" with no effort to explain how to sign up or get more info. What sealed it for us was the lack of any real safety measures. No one checked who was picking up kids. No sign-in or sign-out, no ID check ....nothing. That's a huge red flag for any parent. Our son wanted to love this place, and we really tried to give it a chance. But the lack of guidance, professionalism, and basic safety makes this a hard no for us. *** Update *** After raising these concerns, I received a call from the manager who firmly disagreed with my feedback. They insisted safety wasn't an issue because they do a safety brief with the kids and that staff did their best despite "doing a thousand other things." They also clarified that DBAT, like other batting cages, doesn't have someone available to help users, something that directly contradicts the impression given on their site and materials, given they list that there are instructors. Again if an instructor needs to be scheduled, the guidance and help of knowing who and what to book on the website would be the first step in providing a reasonable level of customer service. When I asked for a refund for the upcoming unused camp day, they declined and stood by their approach. I let them know the call was unproductive and that we were clearly in complete disagreement. At this point, we will not be returning. If you're new to baseball and looking for guidance or a welcoming environment for your child, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

Visiting from out of town. Called first before coming to double check. Called two other batting cages and they didn't answer but the staff at D-Bat did. Service was friendly and courteous. The facility was easy to find and clean. The only gripe I had was that some customers (that seem to come here often) don't follow the signs posted "3 swipe limit when others are waiting please". Luckily we had one local share his batting cage and machine with us. Prices were reasonable. The BEST part are the machines and the options you can control. I Would recommend coming here. read more

I had a Wilson infielders glove in for re-lacing and complete reconditioning. I met with Alek and later Hunter who also worked on the Glove. The glove extremely worn. 4 days later Hunter called said the glove was ready. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Alek and Hunter are real credit to the company something you don't seem to find anymore. I will be availing them of their services again shortly. We are members here, the facility is top notch. We have worked with many coaches here for our 8year old which has drastically improved his skills. Our go to is Nathan or Lee. They both work well with our son and can pinpoint where improvements are needed and help teach the correct form, execution etc. Our son also frequents the clinics and camps and he loves them. Our little leagues season just kicked off and I couldn't be happier... We missed last season due to Covid, so I'm thrilled the kids are able to play this year. That being said, my kids are definitely over due for some batting practice and need to boost their confidence when it comes to batting. So, you guessed it... enter D-Bat Scottsdale. I had no clue that this place existed until I received an email about it from our Little League... and to think they've been open since February 2020 and I had no idea. I sure missed out on a ton of solid batting practice! Well... my kids did ;) I took my son and his buddy to D-Bat Scottsdale and was super impressed with the facility. It's clean, spacious, and covid cautious. The staff is friendly and the technology is impressive. The boys hit 3 different speeds of baseball pitches - both fast balls and curve balls. I jumped in to hit a couple of different softball pitches too. We all had a blast and cannot wait to return. I am hoping my son will be up for a pitching lesson or two in addition to continuing to use the batting cage! Love this place. Clean, cool temperature, fun. The only thing I can't stand is having to collect all the balls to refill the machine. But at least it forces me to get some more exercise. One suggestion: make the floor slanted slightly to allow the balls to roll back down towards the machine to make things easier. Great family fun and I'm always sore afterwards! Lol read more

Had a horrible experience my son signed up for lessons and we was told all we had to do was cancel let them know and within 30 days it would be canceled. The owners are not honest at all. We tried to cancel August 5th and they the continued to debit $68 a month from my bank account. Refused to return my phone calls or voicemails, refused to stop charging us and refused to refund all the charges they charged after we canceled from August all the way through November. Every time I called was lied to and told someone would call me back I never received a phone call or response and the only person they would contact was my husband who was sick with Covid and was lucky he could respond to their emails with one word answers. I would advise anyone to be very cautious with this husband and wife. I have to edit because I can't reply. That's completely untrue. Every time I called their was a new manager that gave me a run around. I guess business was slow because of Covid so you ripped family's off. We wasn't told until November to cancel online. We had been calling since August and was never told to cancel online nor was it on the card we was given. So more lies. NO ETHICS!! read more

Disappointed is all I can say. I waited over night to make sure I wasn't being a hot head but the truth is I was even more upset this morning. I've been hitting up this location regularly since they opened up and yesterday was most likely the last time. To the point that I am shopping for my own cage right now. Three of us have been going in regularly and normally the experience has been great. Yesterday two of my friends and I were hitting for a while in one of the cages and then we moved to the hittrax. After some malfunctions which the front end people took care of quickly we were finally hitting. The owner then said he was "rotating in" with an entire baseball team. He said maybe two or three rounds total, as his asst. coach was behind us telling the boys "seven swings each and then you get one swing to switch to the next player". With 15-20 players that was at least 10 rounds. He acted like we were being rude for not just jumping out of the way for him! He very obviously cared more about his own personal time than that of his customers. Sad too, I've thought of them since they opened as a great addition to the area and a great spot to work out. The batting cages are hi tech and top of the line with software I've never seen before, coaches and staff all wonderful and facility is very nice and spacious. Everything is brand new and super clean. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this facility to anyway wanting to learn more, position train or practices in the cages. D-Bat Scottsdale is by far the best facility in the area. We have been coming to this location for 4 months now and are treated like family. The owners and staff all go out of their way to accommodate their customers, whether we are hitting in the cages, or have a tunnel rental, they are there to help with a smile when need be. My son has been taking catching lessons and loves his instructor. He has many years of big league experience and has a great way of communicating with my 11 year old son. The value that we have received has been immeasurable. My son hit his first two home runs over the fence in the last two tournaments. The owner of this franchise location is a clown. In the hittrex tunnels with two of my other buddies he barges in with a team full of 20 guys and kicks us out of the tunnel. Tells us it's every 3 swipes and we need to rotate. Little did the owner know we had only been swinging one rotation each. That's 3 swipes, there are 3 of us which is 9 swipes. This fool kicks out paying customers that play at multiple locations on multiple teams every week including tournament ball. We will be spreading the word of this location and not to support him. Not to mention his cages are too small for us softball players and we're always dragging the bats on our follow through. Highly recommend finding another location to hit at. read more

We went into this location to do some batting practice. We used one of the batting cages with no problem at all. We decided to move over and try the Hit Trax cage out. The first round malfunctioned and the girl fixed it for us. We than hit twice and the owner Andy came over with a team of players and said they were going to hit now and that your supposed to rotate. Well if that's the case, sign on the cages says "3 rounds and rotate". We didn't all even get one round of swings in before we were asked to back out so the team could hit. We were paying customers too. Not even given the option to finish up. All 3 of us play many nights a week at many different parks with many different teams and many different tournaments. We will ALL be sure to pass the word along about how the Scottsdale location is absolute garbage. Thanks for allowing us to waste our money at your location and we will be sure to let everyone to know to make sure they never visit this location. read more

We have nothing but great things to say about how Gerald Laird and Christian Bergman have helped my son. He's progressed so much and has truly grown to love the game. These cages and pitching machines are clean, new. I really like the fact that you can adjust the speeds, location of pitch, and type of pitch all on your screen.
