They worked feverishly to apply every possible charge they legally can, up to placing a lien on the home for a backpay that would barely qualify for small claims. An absurd overreaction for something that very obviously isn't a huge deal. The backpay was only $300 before they went crazy on penalty fees and a title search. Miy final bill was $600 after the new fees and the thoughtful $28 convenience fee. Our neighborhood is mobilizing to dissolve our HOA structure as soon as possible. She has attempted to enforce something not in our Governing documents, when asked, she couldnt advise of where the wording was. She then advised it was the community that misunderstood the wording - that wasn't there. She quickly removed her notice and resubmitted it with different wording - yet the wording she put still isn't in the documents, and not permissible in the court eye, if she attempts to fine the residents. She still hasn't, and can't, cite the fictitious "rule". She blames the residents for "misunderstandings" when the residents have spoke with the board to determine what is needed prior to communication with her. Residents who have also consulted the Governing documents prior to inquiring on items with the board. She lacks ownership and knowledge. I'm sure the fee I paid via TownSq won't be returned. I don't dare inquire due to her lack of assistance in anything the community needs. she also works off the clock and says it's due to her "being nice" in her reply advising of items, then changing it one email later. I truly hope she gets paid for her email replies as it's against federal/state regulations to not be if hourly .. or if she is salary, she needs to be educated on how that works, and not try to make someone feel bad. She has a choice, that's not on the residents if she chooses to reply on her off time.
