Fake Mexican restaurant. The food is definitely not authentic Mexican. The best thing about this restaurant was the aguas frescas for sure! Very good drinks but very bad service and mid food. Our table ordered a variety of foods like a sandwich, flautas, steak and eggs, pasta, and all of them were lacking flavor and were mediocre at best. This is the type of restaurant you come to just for the aesthetic/ vibes and not for the taste of their food. Last time I went was on a Monday and we waited 45 min to be seated and then another 30 minutes for our drinks, then another 20 for our food. Definitely the last time I'm ever going to dine in here. Came here for the first time after noticing this spot on Archer, and we came in with breakfast on our minds. It was around 11am on a random Sunday and about half full, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Right away, the service stood out. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. For drinks, I ordered a regular coffee and my significant other got the "Vitamin C" smoothie. The coffee comes in a surprisingly large mug and is refillable, which is a nice bonus. Because of that, I skipped the café de olla, but honestly I'd recommend trying it if you're not planning on refills. The smoothie was great--smooth, refreshing, and only mildly sweet. For food, we ordered the green chilaquiles, chicken enchiladas with red sauce, and the churro pancakes. The food did take about 30-45 minutes to come out, but everything arrived fresh. The chilaquiles were served with black beans, cilantro lime rice, and two eggs, topped with onions, sour cream, and cheese. The beans had a slight grilled flavor but were a bit mild overall. The rice, on the other hand, was light, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned with cilantro--definitely a highlight. The chilaquiles themselves were flavorful with just a slight kick from the salsa; I just wish they had a bit more onion for extra texture. The chicken enchiladas were excellent. Honestly the standout savory dish. Everything about them was well-balanced and cooked perfectly. Now the real star, the churro pancakes. These were amazing. You get a stack of four pancakes topped with a pecan sauce and served with two churros on the side. The pancakes are definitely on the sweeter side, but in the best way possible. The churros themselves were fantastic, honestly better than Xurro Factory in my opinion. Overall, this place really impressed me. The vibe is immaculate, blending Hispanic culture with a modern twist, and the food and service back it up. So I've officially eaten D'Nuez food twice. Once for take out and once for dine in during brunch hours. When I ordered take out and grabbed breakfast, I thought the food was tasty. I ordered mole enchiladas - the portion size was good. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the up-charge for mole (additional $3). Dining in is an entirely different experience. We were treated very well - customer service was a solid 5/5. The wait time weren't bad either given it was incredibly packed. My issue this time were the portion sizes! Surprise right?! I ordered the Spicy chorizo omelette and the person I was with ordered the Mexican burger. When he requested chipotle mayo rather than the standard mayo it came with he was told it would be an extra $2.00!!! Can't make this up. For the small condiment cup would be $2 - how wild is that!? It's mayo for goodness sake and no it isn't homemade. Additionally he asked for sweet potato fries. If you view the photo, there is a mixture of fries and it's literally not much. When inquiring about this the server told us that's the way they serve their fries. Then why allow customers to choose if you're going to give them what you want anyhow?!! Makes zero sense. The omelette was mad small and there was more cheese than meat or veggies. I believe I paid $45 for two dishes no drink and I left a tad bit hungry and not satisfied. I requested to have the tortillas changed for my plate ordered and I was told I had to wait 30 minutes for this as they were too busy taking care of a party they had and had to take care of all their orders first (even though we had arrived before them). I said nevermind then, just cancel my plate and was given attitude by her from then on. She took forever to bring the check and to go boxes requested for the rest of the food and then she dropped our coins on the floor "on accident" when handing back our change, so we had to pick it up. This place has a lot of potential, it's cute and insta-worthy with a Mexican fusion vibe. It is on the pricy side, and you're paying for the ambience. The breakfast omelette and waffles were delicious. The sweet potato fries were great. We tried the berry salad and it was bomb. As much as we enjoyed these gems on the menu there were others that really need improvement. The tilapia tacos all the toppings and salsas were great but the meat was over salted so we didn't finish these. The regular coffee and "cafe de Hoya" were luke warm, and we waited 10-15min for creamer and sugar. And the abuelita hot chocolate was really bland. The biggest improvement needed is the service, although the staff is friendly when interacting with the tables they are disorganized and distracted socializing among themselves. We didn't have utensils on the table when our food arrived, we were not brought syrup for the waffles, one of our food items didn't get entered into the kitchen so one of us couldn't eat and had to box most our food to go. (They did give us a coupon for a free dessert due to the miss on not putting in the order on time) However there were so many times during the service we tried to call over a server or make eye contact and they just didn't pay attention. When our food arrived we didn't have utensils so one of us had to get up off the table and literally go get a server so that our food wouldn't be cold. There were not that many tables either, we were there at 1pm on a weekday. I would try this restaurant again, however I would be hesitant to recommend due to the service. If you are someone looking to grab drinks and light brunch it's a great place but don't come here with a time constraint, the slow service will keep you there for a while. read more

The place is decorated beautifully and definitely has a fresh and fun aesthetic. We were greeted and seated immediately. The only thing that threw us off was the amount of time before someone came to our table. We had already browsed and selected our orders and were making eye contact with several people. It seemed that half the employees were at the front chatting with the manager or just standing. I'm not sure if this was their shift change or what, but we waited a good 10-15 minutes until someone decided to come to us, even just to bring some water. Our waitress was nice, took our order, and the drinks and food were quick to come out. I got a Cafe de Olla, which was good. The others got a agua de Pepino y Limon and a agua de Limon y chia, which were both refreshing. The Mexican Burger was the best thing at our table. Second was the chicken pesto panini. Last would be the Mexican Club, which in theory was okay but the steak wasn't tender enough to bite through the large pieces, so it made it hard to get even bites each time. I think smaller pieces would be better, maybe even in panini form like a torta. Good idea, not the best execution. Sweet potato fries were delish. Overall, the food was great. Only complaint was the wait to get service in the beginning. Would probably come back to check out the breakfast menu or for that burger. read more

The restaurant changed my seating to high chairs which did not work for our group, older party members. For our group of 15 it was about an hour and a half wait but only because the big party table broke so we had to wait extra but they at least honored the brunch menu after 1.
