After reading a bunch of bad reviews about Trailers Plus, I decided to buy a trailer from Big Tex…read moredown the road. I bought a 12 foot trailer from Big Tex yesterday. I inquired about a trailer through their website but didn't get a response that day. However, they called me the next day and said they received an electronic message about me being interested in a trailer. I asked if they had one in stock and they said yes. I told them I'd be there in an hour to check it out. When I arrived, I told them my name and the trailer I was interested in. He said that had the guys pull out the trailer. The guy pretty much already had the paperwork out ready to go so the waiting time was minimal. I checked out the trailer, filled out the paperwork, they made sure the lights and everything were working, and I was on my way. It's a pretty nice trailer as far as utility trailers go. A couple upgraded things like the hitch and the spring loaded gate. They cost a little bit more than Trailers Plus but I think I avoided headaches in the long run. I towed my UTV in the trailer and it towed fine. No problems. I'm happy.

The next day Darryn had the trailer we wanted ready for us to come by and pick up. The registration paperwork took about an hour then we were on our way with our new hitch and trailer. Thank you Darryn for your great service!

The only game in town to rent a box truck and the guys in the office were fine. Uhauls online…read morereservation service doesn't work ... at all. Don't even try. It takes a reservation but nothing is reserved. Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode I watched again recently. Call the office and reserve a truck. Btw, holding the reservation is a little more important than taking the reservation. Anybody can take a reservation. Heck, you'd be better off calling me to reserve your next Uhaul. Now comes the return trip. In the darkness, I somehow managed to notice the fine print in the contract (6 pt font) requires the vehicle be checked in online using the online service (if after shop hours) or they charge a $20 convenience fee. Wtf?! The online checkin app doesn't work any better than the reservation system. It took me about 30 minutes to setup an account and get through the process (about 1/4 of the time I rented the truck). It just didn't work. If I didn't have some tech skills, no way I could've gotten through it. At the end, I wish I had paid the convenience fee. Heck, they should be paying me for the inconvenience and time I wasted with the worthless app.

I know I put my co-workers through the wringer sometimes, I'm so sorry. When you live in a small town like this, the rule of thumb is you can either find whatever you need in 5 minutes or you'll need to drive an hour to get it in Reno or Carson. Fortunately, the local UHaul franchise here was happy to help us out - very easy and inexpensive to rent whatever those heavy-duty standing up thingie things are called.
