What entitled people! They charged me $93 dollars for this meal. Never going back here again. I'll suggest to spend your money somewhere else. It's completely not worth it and the owner will feed your ear with bullshit to have an excuse to rip you off. The kebab doesn't come with nothing it says it comes with. Just the veggies. WHY does my pasta have literally 5 pasta pieces in the entire thing! I didn't touch nothing . This is how they served me. I visited Da Bistro on a Friday night with some friends; I need to say that while the waiter and staff were nice and the food was good I wasn't really impressed. The portions were way too small for the price they charged. My friend ordered a "shrimp scampi" dish and it was mostly pasta and 4 pieces of shrimp. This pace is a great for a large family gathering. I was here recently for my uncle's birthday and we had a lovely time. The food was brought out family style.Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. We tried a number of dishes, appetizers, salads, different type of kabobs as well as fish, which was a whole grilled branzino. Our only issue was with the desserts, they were still half frozen on the inside. Our group made reservations the same day, approximately 4 hours prior to the dinner, so I feel like they should have been a little more prepared. This is a great little place. I frequently find myself enjoying a relaxed dinner from time to time during the week while I wait for my daughter to finish her dance lessons at Beat Dance studio next door. The Spanish Octopus is outstanding with terrific roasted potatoes. The mussels red was surprisingly delicious too. My go to entree is the wild salmon shishkabob with cous cous. Loved this restaurant! From the Sabra Platter with everything homemade from the Humus to the Carbonara and all delicious with Nice warm Pita. My Lamb Kabobs were cooked just right with lovely grilled vegetables and homemade potato chips. It came with a nice spicy red dipping sauce. I tasted my friends Branzino and that was cooked just right, Everything is fresh and very good quality. I have had dinner at Da Bistro Mediterranean Grill on three occasions. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys the flavor principles that are found in Greek food; other area of the Mediterranean are also represented on the menu (Italy). The Spanish octopus dish is cooked to perfection, filling the palate with tender grilled octopus and an explosion of perfectly balanced flavors from the capers, lemons and spices. The Sabra platter is a cornucopia of flavors and textures that will inspire any diner. The presentation is visually inspiring and the pita is thin and filled with both good texture and flavor. I have also experienced two of the Kebabs, the chicken and the lamb, with salad and grilled vegetables, both combine well with the Kebabs. The chicken was marinated and grilled yielding a tender, flavorful protein, however, the lamb was tough and chewy. One other surprise; the oil provided for the salad, claimed to be extra virgin olive oil was vegetable oil. I have sampled dozens of high quality olive oil's from around the globe and have a highly discerning olfactory system. I would expect, at a minimum, an inexpensive extra virgin olive oil to be provided with the salad. Lastly, 2 out of 3 times I dined, the service with exceptionally good, with a warm, friendly and precise metering of the food delivery. Came here based on the reviews but I was not that impressed. The service was really nice and it felt like a homey family owned place but the food was just okay. I ordered the lamb kabobs and my husband had the vegetable pizza. We also ordered the platter they came with hummus and falafel. The hummus was good and the pita bread came out warm. The falafel seemed dry and overcooked. The lamb was cooked to temperature, I like mine medium, but it was oversalted. My husband liked his pizza for the most part, but he said he felt like it was missing some seasoning. I'm not sure if we ordered the wrong menu items or we caught them on a bad day but we just weren't impressed as the other reviewers. read more

The menu was small, the food was fair and there was not a nice interior. The pricing was average on the menu until the check came out. We feel completely ripped off. In the fine print on the menu, it says that the restaurant can charge any price they want. We were charged a service fee, tip was already placed on the check for a party of 4 and prices on our check were not what they were on the menu. The restaurant is clean, the staff is very nice and the food was good. I am surprised there are not any reviews and the place was empty. We had a lamb giro and a shawarma sandwich, we enjoyed them both but liked the giro better. The prices are good, and it is also nice that there is a 15% off for checking in here. The only thing, as a suggestion: There is no changing table, which would have been uncomfortable if I had to change my baby. They do have high chairs and booster seats. An unexpected find in a shopping center dominated by Ben and Irv's. They serve Italian, Greek, Israeli, and other mid-east/south European foods. We tried the lamb and chicken kebabs, which were very nicely served on a very light pita, with a very nice, fresh salad or soup and a side. We both had the grilled veges to compensate for all the bread we were eating. The basket of freshly baked, warm bread sealed the deal for a return visit. We came here least night for our first time. I Love Mediterranean food and figured we would try it out. Upon entering its small, nice and casual. The place was NOT busy at all. Just a few tables. We waited about 15min before we finally had to ask for our menus. Not 10seconds after receiving them were we asked if we knew what we wanted to order. Ummmm, you JUST handed us our menus. At this point the place started to fill up. We finally ordered. My son got a pizza, hubby got the calamari to start and shrimp scampi for his main, and I got the chicken kabobs. I specifically asked for no lavish (dough) under the chicken as I am GF. We waited, and waited and waited. It took another 10 or so minutes for salad to come out and about 30 for our main meals. Of course mine came out with the dough. I told the waitress and said I would need a new one prepared or else I would get sick. Not 1 minute later did she come out with another plate. She said she took it from another order but NO other orders came out after. They simply just took the dough off the plate. I also know this because I have now been sick the whole night from a very clear gluten reaction. I was only able to eat one small piece of chicken since it was overly salted as well. The veggies looked like they were prepared days ago and nuked. Soggy and lifeless. The waitresses were friendly but, and I hate to say this, not the brightest crowns in the box. My husband asked for no extra garlic on his scampi (sometimes places put it on top) and she looked like we were speaking another language. He had to repeatedly ask her the same thing before I finally broke in and said, "Whatever is in the sauce is fine. Just no more than that please". Looking around at the other tables it was very evident that we were not the only ones displeased with the service. We had high hopes for this place and frequently dine out. Worst service ever! (9/21/18) Took half an hour to receive our appetizer. 3 other parties came after us and were served before us. 2 hours later, some of our entrees arrived. They had the nerve to charge us for entrees we didn't receive! Had to get the owner involved and he blamed my party for the long wait. HUH? Disrespectful. Had a really enjoyable experience here last Sunday. I went here for dinner with my father and grandmother. We started with the antipasto appetizer, accompanied by their home made pita and rolls; all of which were amazing. I could have had the antipasto as my meal, it was great! For dinner, my dad ordered the lamb kebab. It was really tender and nice. My grandmother had the half Cornish hen, which was grilled to perfection and well seasoned. I went with the Bello salad, which was spinach, roasted peppers, portobello mushrooms, and goat cheese, and I added chicken. It was a really good salad, prettying all of my favorite salad toppings in one. The staff was super friendly and engaged, and we even met the chef/owner at the end of our meal. It was a great experience at a casual neighborhood establishment and there were plenty of healthy options which was perfect for us. We will be sure to return! read more

Had a party here a little while ago. Met with the owner, Arkady, a few times to set everything up. We got to choose a nice selection of items and got a very good deal too. The decor was nice and simple, and the food was very delicious. Our guests were very happy and we were happy that they were. The service was a little slow and the portions were not very big. I think everyone had enough to eat, but I feel like we should have had more. Especially when I think we had a few no shows and I know my wife and I hardly ate anything. We were looking for something fresh, organic and local to Huntingdon Valley. We read that they use local and organic wherever possible, and I was craving some falafel, so we went. We loved our main course--eggplant parm and chicken piccata. The bread was wonderful, as we had read online, and having olive oil and balsamic for everything was great. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. The sobra platter, our shared appetizer, was a slight let-down visually, but tasted very good. In all, the meal needed only fresh ground pepper and some sea salt or pink salt on the tables to complete it. Value is unbeatable for quality food, and our three year old daughter enjoyed sampling all the dishes. They put us in a quiet booth. Two other couples were eating, and had clearly been there before. They had brought their own alcohol, and were feasting on some really lovely looking fish and kebab dishes. A large group had reserved seats for a celebration, and clearly knew the waiter as well. Though it was a large group, the room is big enough for people to feel private. I think roudy groups would head down a few doors to eat at the pub. The first time I got food from this restaurant I had gotten delivery when they first opened. I got a Mediterranean Salad with eggplant, squash, and peppers. It was really delicious. However, when I went to eat in The food was not as good as I remembered. The service was slow even though we were the only ones there. I got the shrimp platter and it came with 4 small shrimp. I didn't see the salad I'd gotten originally on the menu the second time around. The environment is not the best so I don't think I'd ever eat-in again. Such a great place to have a family party. The restaurant is very plain. Nothing really exciting happening in the ambiance. The reason is, this place cooks everything to order and they take their time doing it. My recommendation to anyone looking to have a party...order in advance. Restaurant is small with only 2 waiters accommodating 7 or 8 tables. They seem to have a difficult time catering to large parties. We came on Saturday night with 12 people for a special occasion. Service was very very slow and they ran out of things very quickly. Also "family style" portions were too small to accommodate 12. Food was average at best. What a find! We'd stopped in for lunch a few months ago and found ourselves in the neighborhood (PA Driver's License Center) tonight and returned to see if it would be just as good. We ordered the chicken cacciatore and Tuscan lasagne both of which came with side salads and fantastic bread. They were delicious and I had enough of the lasagne to take home for lunch. I ordered a Sabra Salad to take out to serve to friends tomorrow night because everything was so fresh. This is a lovely, clean restaurant and we'll look forward to returning soon. read more
