So i just did a pick up literally this evening (4/29/25) from their website orders and i don't know what these people complaining are saying! I purchased 3 Dubai chocolate strawberry, 2 bars, Swedish candy, oreo stuffed mochi and a Kulolo butter mochi. Everywhere you go for Dubai chocolate is pricey! And not everyone's taste good! But The portions of their strawberries are overflowing. We ended up pulling over on their Main Street to eat it and it was so good! My only complaint is that the tubs or bowls they use don't have covers if in case we wanted to eat at home instead of right away. They do however let you know that it's best eaten fresh when the chocolate is still melted and he already had extra bowls under to somewhat cover just in case. The bars are like your standard Hershey size with a pretty good amount of filling given the size of the bar. I've had worse for same price. I'm a returning customer of their mochi for years and i must say they are the best on island and i had a few others from the grocery stores, other mochi people in Ewa beach town and Kaneohe! Unbeatable! The butter mochi is nostalgic! Takes me back to when my okinawan gramma use to make it with a twist of that Kulolo bite. So fricken good! Their stuffed mochi is always so soft, i put it in the fridge to avoid molding. I've left it in there for almost a week and still Ono! I truly think the people who let their mochi spoil in these reviews don't know how rice works lol. Mochi is so perishable you should always keep it cool and refrigerate. I always get their cookie butter, Oreo, chantilly stuffed mochi and their Kulolo and original butter mochi. Customer service: The owners are very personable, very down to earth. their daughter is always helping with the register and it's the cutest thing! She's gotta be only 7 or 8 years old. I have been their customer long enough to remember a few others from guys to girls. I remember the older lady people are talking about in the reviews. I went once or twice and she was working and she said that she was one of the owners mom. I have to say she isn't very personable, i don't think sassy is the word more like standoffish but thank Goodness their products are just that good to keep me coming back. The owners are the best! They always give a little small talk to all their customers like they've known you for years! Makes you feel like you visiting ohana! They take time in explaining everything new they have and always greets us. Markets: i love that they are available almost all over parts of the island. Their set up is so cute, they have signage easy to understand. Their menu is pretty big and can get confusing but if you're a long time customer like me then you already know what you want and you just have to pay attention to the specials so you don't miss any new stuff. Oh i almost forgot about the Swedish candy! My kids loved it! I only got a little bite and wish i bought 5 more bags. It's like a gummy but foamy hard to explain but definitely nothing we have here in Hawai'i! Definitely go support this small local business! They've been out here for i feel almost 10 years and very proud to see how far they've come! I say don't listen to the reviews and try for yourself! read more

I'm not a "reviewer" person because I feel like everyone who comes on this and other platforms to review stuff are entitled people. The very ones who don't own business and come on here to whine about stuff and troll the internet feeling like keyboard warriors because you too scared to communicate directly with these businesses about your complaints. In Hawaii the small businesses are humans. Cut them all some slack. And also What makes you guys think we all have the same taste as you guys. Who qualified you to be the taster of products. Aside from your opinion that's all it is. What's good to people might not be good to others and what's junk to them might be good to us. Nobody crowned you king. I really just made this profile to come on here and say that da mochi guys are THE BEST! You cannot find good people always smiling and greeting, very sociable cool and always talking stories! A kanaka oiwi born and raised ohana with their young keiki helping and blessed hands to make such good products keia!!! You can't get any better than that! My ohana have been rocking with these guys for a minute now and each time gets better and better. My only complaint is where's the poi mochi at?! lol they occasionally have it at their pop ups fresh and hot but recently no more and let me tell you blow the other people out the water!!! Support local gang!! Nevermind these cry baby reviews. That's not local style anyways. That's the haole mentality! Put money into our people and back into our communities! Everything. I am a sucker for mochi. They have it all! Don't get me started on their Dubai chocolate bars! The best to ever do it. I tried one from the beauty room in kamakana i tried one off TikTok shop i tried 2 other local businesses her from a market and its either the chocolate to filling ratio just not it or the chocolate taste like Hershey bar! But these guys are doing it with that Dubai chocolate. The best one i have tasted yet. That one review about their strawberries being 2-3 strawberries must not know math. Because i always buy their stuffed mochi strawberries for $12 and it's only 3 pieces that's $4 a piece. That's the going rate for almost everyone who sells mochi with strawberry if not they more expensive. So with all that extra toppings for especially that crunch green stuff they use for the Dubai chocolate i hear is super expensive! I have yet to try their strawberry one and their cake because it's always sold out whenever i go. I am actively on the prowl for them so i will update this review when i do get a chance to try it. Also! Whenever we go to support we always get the guy and his customer service is top tier! He explains products to the T because I'm the type to ask a million questions. He's local style braddah he makes you feel like you guys know each other from kid days! We've met his wife a few times during pick ups and at the mall when she ran the pop ups and she's the cutest! I don't know how she looks so good after all those kids they had lol and make products while watching that many kids? Shoot what's our excuse to be lazy lol! read more

These reviewers OBVIOUSLY haven't had the chance to try them FRESH straight from the hands of DA MOCHI GUYS! I Haven't been to Kalapawai for their drops but we always preorder our mochi from them and it never disappoints. The mochi is so soft! On One of our orders the mochi was still even warm which made the brownie filling even more fudgy and soft. The fillings we usually get are brownie, kulolo and their butter mochis and ube butter mochi. The stuffed mochi fillings are just right! The mochi isn't overwhelmingly sweet like others I've had. The size of the stuffed mochi is just right! Not "gagging" sizes that make u not want mochi for a year lol. They do parties small orders we've ordered just a dozen stuffed mochi from them before and they accommodated our last minute order. Nice local people. I have yet to try out their poi mochi balls and other things off their huge array of desserts but we are definitely planning to visit them in waimanalo for it soon! I'll update once we get to! BTW - i highly recommend you try them out before listening to the other reviewers! you could always try to contact them directly before giving them a bad review. Love Da Mochi Guys!!! They are our go to Mochi people! Their customer service is on point! Business is run solely by husband and wife and they are very friendly! Have not encountered any problems with their customer service.. My kids refer to them as Uncle and Aunty Mochi We have been buying from them for more then 5 years in which they practically know our usual order but we always add on with their different stuffed Mochis that they have that day! Although they had a different name when they first started off. As far as the taste and quality of their products I have no complaints. Taste is !!! My son perfers their poi mochi he says he likes it because there is lots of filling and likes the texture inside compared to others he tasted. They also have a lot of different flavors for their stuffed Mochi and recently came out with their parfaits which is soooo yummy! Follow their page on IG and Facebook as they constantly post and keep everyone updated with their weekly schedule. They also cater and do party favors!!! They are a must try! Always follow their drops on IG and go their waimanalo pop ups since 2014! They even now do an event in Waikele on Fridays! The mochi is WORTH THE DRIVE THE WAIT AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN! Their poi mochi balls seem only available at certain pop ups they do but always in waimanalo and it's HOT and ALWAYS FRESH soooo good!! It's literally just a husband and wife with their Keiki so i love supporting REAL LOCAL families!!! read more
