This place was excellent. We got dessert here after lunch and were really impressed. I like that the ice is sweetened with condensed milk rather than artificial coloring and there are plenty of topping options. We got a keiki size with ube condensed milk, ly hing powder topping and pineapple. The ice is so powdery and fine I could eat a whole bowl of their plain ice. The sides are pretty generous and they don't skimp on toppings. Service was very fast and they also sold drinks. I'll definitely be back. read more

My friend and I were grabbing some new plant babies from South Maui Gardens and needed something to cool us down. We were excited to try Bling Bing for the first time. Unfortunately, the staff working was a very unenthused young man who looked like he wanted to get back to his phone rather than answer our questions. I would have given them 5 stars had it not been for the lackluster customer service. The shave ice was delicious. We got the ube condensed milk, which was amazing. We topped that off with the lychee popping boba and pineapple. Although there was a lot of plain ice in the middle, we just had to mix it all together. The food is so delicious, familiar but also unique. My favorite is the regular flavor, watermelon fruits and popping lychee popping boba. Service is quick in serving. I went to Maui for a vacation and I couldn't leave without trying this place! There are a bunch of food truck in this area so you can eat whatever your heart desires. The problem with success! Definitely one of the best bao bing (shaved ice) place on the island, with great varieties of toppings and flavorings. Their menu also includes Hapa and soft serve. Therefore, with all this, it requires more persons to keep the up with the flow of demand. It's difficult to place a larger staff in a small mobile building, so the service is slower. Best shaved ice I have ever have. So soft and creamy with the coconut milk and fruit combo. I craved it during my vacation and definitely would have gone back if I had more time than a week in Hawaii. If I was a local, this definitely would be a place I would regularly come to. It's refreshing - we had the mango, papaya, and lichee fruits. You can pick up to three fruits with the large, and you can add on extras for an additional small charge if you desire more. I thought the price was fair considering I had frozen yogurt with fruit 15 years ago in Hawaii and the price was about the same. The chickens in the eating area can be a bit stubborn and pesky, but the dessert itself is such a treat. Something refreshing for those hot Kihei days! Definitely hit the spot. It's a nice alternative from always having shave ice. This truck is located in the Kihei Food Truck Park next to Azeka's. Lots of parking and places to sit and enjoy your treats. She is open 12pm-8pm or until sold out. We came at around 230pm and she was out to lunch but we didn't wait long for her to come back. Seems like she may be a one woman show so please be patient. Be sure to follow her on instagram for more current updates. Tried her regular ice and got the special with strawberry ribbon ice. I had seen this business pop up on my Instagram a few months ago, but at the time it wasn't open & the page had no photos, not even a coming soon. Fast forward to earlier this month, it popped up again, this time there was photos, they were open, & they were in Kihei. Couldn't wait to try it! Finally made it there last week, perfect for a hot Kihei afternoon. There are 2 sizes, individual & sharing. For the individual size you can pick up to 2 toppings for free & 3 for sharing. I believe it's $1 for each additional topping. There are also premium toppings like mochi that are offered for $1 more. It was my boyfriend & I so we went for the sharing & got haupia, mango popping boba, & rice balls. The ice comes topped with condensed milk & you can also get lihing mui powder on it if you want. Texture similar to bingsoo, however this ice was just plain ice, so it relies on the drizzles & toppings for its flavor. To which after reading more about this dessert baobing, it is indeed more about the toppings. Everything was good, our favorite was the rice balls. A very light dessert, not too sweet. Ice is very fine, but surprisingly even with the Kihei heat, didn't melt as quick as I thought. I like that she had pictures for all her toppings & an explanation as to what baobing was. What an awesome Yelp find! We happened to be in Kihei and wanted a cool treat. Yelp led us to this awesome place! It's located in the food trucks near Longs. This is an asian shaved ice place. Instead of the traditional fruit syrups, the shaved ice is covered with sweetened condensed milk- yum! The shaved ice is super fine and fluffy. There are 2 sizes and lots of different toppings to choose from. Based on the Yelp reviews I wanted to try the rice balls but sadly they were out. Instead I ordered the haupia & mango with mochi. Others in my party ordered the rainbow jelly & boba with mochi and passion fruit popping boba & azuki red beans with li hing mui (free topping). My favorite was the mango because it was fresh fruit. My wife and I decided to get a cooling dessert here after a lunch at a nearby food truck. We ordered an individual size with red beans and haupia toppings. The portion size was huge, especially for an individual size and the amount of red beans and haupia served was very generous. There was also a nice little flower on top. We've been here twice during our stay in Maui and tried several other shave ice places along the way. Bling Bing Maui is our hands down favorite. The Ube condensed milk, fresh and generous toppings like red bean, taro, lychee, and egg pudding are not to be missed. This was an excellent new find for a cold treat on a hot day. Of course Shave Ice is huge in Hawaii but this is a slightly different twist. Three sizes from Keiki to Shareable. Lots of great toppings to choose from and covered in condensed milk. So ono! We opted for the individual with Matcha condensed milk, strawberries and lychee. Chinese/Korea style shaved ice, which is much finer/smoother than the typical Hawaiian shaved ice. It's drizzled with condensed milk and 2 or 3 toppings of your choice. I prefer this style a lot more than the traditional ones with just flavored syrup. I was excited to get the rice balls and Haupia (coconut), however, they were out of both options when I got there around 3:30 pm. So I went with Lychee, peach, and mochi (thinking that it might be similar to rice balls). I liked the overall texture and flavor of the shaved ice, but I didn't care for the mochi topping (very tiny, had no flavor and a little dry). The peach and lychee were canned - tasted good, but want to tell people know that they are not fresh fruits. If you want some of the more popular toppings - make sure you get there early.
