Honestly the food was kinda meh, but the atmosphere was so unique and interesting that I was still glad I came despite the average food. My vegetarian friend and I ordered three appetizers - Crispy Cauliflower, which had a basic sweet chili sauce, Parmesan truffle shoestring fries, and the grilled Brie. Perhaps our food had been sitting under a heat lamp on this busy Wednesday night, but the Brie wasn't melty, the cauliflower was lukewarm, and the fries, though plentiful, were served with pedestrian ketchup. I asked for mayo or aioli and actually got 3 sauces including a home-made ranch that made the fries tasty. We sat outside on the patio under a heat lamp next to a large Banyan tree. The lighting was fun and festive and gave a nice glow. But the real magic is inside with almost every inch covered with surrealist art and interesting artifacts. So much to look at - oh, and they will accept art in exchange for food. How cool is that?
Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Love Dada. It's been too long since we've visited. This is the first brunch at Dada we've experienced and it was wonderful. We met friends. Our reservation was for 11/45, we were seated immediately inside. We were in the back room and at first the room was very cold but it got better within a few minutes. The decor is beautiful, no matter which room you are in you will be surrounded by art , it enhances the experience. Our servers Jack and Nicole were exemplary. We never had to look for them or wait for anything. Jack did a great job explaining the specials and both were there to refill our drinks and check on us. Food was amazing. I ordered the grilled Brie and the Dada dates. I usually do not like things wrapped in bacon but these were pregame crispy and sweet. The Brie was served with toast, apples and grapes and it was delish. Other plates were egg and bacon sandwich, ham and cheddar omelette, eggs Benedict, and pork belly Benedict. Everyone at the table had glowing reviews on their choices. Dads had a history of an art movement, it is in a historical house , quaint and charming . Today was a chilly day but the outside had heaters. The bar is unique and inviting. There is a fireplace to add to the charm. Additional free parking across the street. We cannot wait to come back!
Had a great dinner here the other night. Last minute... couldn't believe we got a reservation, but who's complaining and we got a table. Don't recommend that during season, if you want to eat here... book ahead. Located on Swinton, there's a paid parking garage near by, and you can always park by the library, if there's a space, for free and walk a few blocks. Located in one of the older homes on Swinton Avenue this is an amazing space. Everyone wants to sit outside, which is beautiful, under the trees and lights, but I love the character inside. Each room has its own eclectic character . Shrimp Scampi Tagliatelle- Key West Shrimp, Lemon Garlic Butter, cooked in White Wine, with Grape Tomatoes, and , Parmesan. This dish was so good. Vegan Butternut Squash Ravioli- this was different and delish The Roasted Garlic Cashew cream mixed with spinach and mushroom was unique and a lovely light meal. I love Dada... usually can't get in... so when I can , it's a treat!
I read several reviews that claimed Dada was the best restaurant in Palm Beach County, so we had to give it a try. We started off with the Salvador Dali and my wife got the Passion Fruit Mojito. Both drinks were exceptional, and we loved the presentation. We opted to try several small plates and share an entree. We started with the wedge salad. It was very good with the crisp onion and fresh dressing, although not the best salad we've had (8.6/10). The bacon wrapped dates came second, which were our favorite dish. Sweet, savory, delectable. (9.3/10) Next, we got the crispy cauliflower. It was amazing how crispy this was! It tasted great too, tossed in a spicy gochujang sauce. (8.9/10) We shared the short rib entree, and were so glad that we did. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, paired with a sweet tomato jam, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans. If we were being very picky, the green beans seemed slightly undercooked. (9.2/10) The service was what stole the show for us. We felt that the wait staff was so attentive and treated us like royalty. We had fresh table settings for each dish, our waitress helped fix the table when it was leaning, and plates were cleared seconds after taking the first bite. Thank you! I would recommend booking for a nice evening and trying to sit outside. It was such a romantic spot as the sun began to set during dinner. PS - The experience at this place was awesome. Kind of gave us Black Rabbit vibes from the inside in a good way. To set the record straight, I don't believe this is the best restaurant in Palm Beach County, but it's up there! We will be back!
We sat at the bar. It was our first time there and Sergio our Bartender was inviting and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoyed our time there looking at the decorations[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and enjoy the food.. we had driven from MIAMI and we're in the area to check out a nice spot and we're so glad we came across Dada.
Back again. This time for an early dinner. Sitting outside under large umbrellas was pleasant and comfortable. The waiter knew the menu well and was very helpful. They still offer the $10 starving artist. It's now grilled cheese with onion soup for dipping - a play on French onion soup. The romaine wedge with green goddess dressing is one of the best appetizers on the menu. It comes with two sections, but the chef agreed to give us 3 - we were a party of 3 and sharing. The cocktails are innovative and well-balanced. Note: There are happy hour discounts on drinks, not food. The only disappointment was the crab cake. It was too dry.
I haven't been to Dada in a few years, but I've always liked it. You definitely have to be in the right state of mind to go -- it's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. The artful setting inside this historic Delray Beach house, filled with local artwork, and the fantastic patio wrapped around a huge banyan tree give it a vibe that's impossible to duplicate. Interesting lighting, quirky artifacts everywhere, and a very cool staff all come together to create a completely laid-back, almost surreal atmosphere. The staff really makes the place -- they're super chill but also genuinely good at what they do, and many of them have been there for years. The food is very good too, but honestly, for me it's secondary to the feeling you get just being there. When I go, I look forward to grabbing a seat on the patio, enjoying the setting, the people who work there, and a glass of wine or two. There's really no place like Dada. Really like the Crispy Cauliflower w Yuzu Sweet Chili Sauce. I used to love their Crab Cakes served with a Corn Salsa. The corn salsa was great, but Crab Cake was a little fishy. Better would have been Grilled Brie. I'm not a fan of dates, but many love the Dada Dates. Gruyere Risotto was excellent. Their Dada Burger was very good, as were the Fries. Good wines by the glass. I want to get back here to check out their Brunch on a nice day.
What can I say about DaDa? I was looking for a casual spot to have dinner on a week night and tried them out. The outside seating of the restaurant was completely booked. The outside has a nice patio feel to it. After our waitress seated us inside, she excitedly told us the table is a cork board! How cool is that?!? I won a few games of tic tak toe..lol The food was delicious! I had the freebird chicken with roaitto. Chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. Highly recommend the Mezza board for grazing. Over all 10/10 for me.
Updating my review after the managers quick response and clarification about key west shrimp... I really wanted to leave a 5 star review here but felt I can only leave a 4. If I was to rate Dada on service and ambience alone it would be 5 stars all the way. We enjoyed eating outside with beautiful weather at Dada. 75 degree weather during Thanksgiving week is not weather I am used to in Atlanta. We sat at a large table in the corner outside with a beautiful view of other tables and the courtyard. Heather was an excellent waitress! It was clear she was busy with other tables but she took whatever time we needed to answer questions, explain the menu options, and offer recommendations. She checked in on us regularly. Someone else in our party was picking up the tab so there were no appetizers and waters all around. That is usually a sure sign of bad service to follow but not the case here. Service was excellent! When the kitchen staff brought out the food, they took time to speak with us and talk about the food instead of just rushing back to the kitchen to bring out another meal. It was clear that the restaurant treats their employees well in turn leading to great customer service. Someone got a burger they enjoyed. I heard the chicken sandwich was good. My wife got the meatloaf and enjoyed it albeit a little pricey for meatloaf. I ordered what I hoped to be the star of the show - the shrimp scampi tagliatelle. They even brought a spoon out for my pasta without me even needing to ask. The noodles were definitely homemade and wonderful, fresh, with a nice texture and taste. When I think about shrimp scampi, I think garlic, butter, white wine. I tasted the tomato and the pangrattato but very little of what I expected. Key west pink shrimp sounded fresh and yummy but the texture and taste were not what I was expecting either. I later learned that key west shrimp are different than normal shrimp and the texture is intended to melt in your mouth. It was not a bad dish - just not what I expected for shrimp scampi. We decided to try the banana bread dessert with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on top and added ice cream. It was a yummy dessert to top off the evening I would recommend that. I'll definitely Dada again in the future because everything else was excellent except for my dish.
Wow! The ambiance of Dada is quaint & casual. However, the service makes you feel like you're at an upscale restaurant. They have an extensive delicious list of mojitos. The burger was phenomenal and they allow you to choose the temperature you want it cooked to. The same for the salmon. Which was also delicious. I was reserved about the raisins in the rice, but they were a fabulous addition. The apple cider donuts were the cherry on top of a perfect dinner. I will be back to try out brunch! Thank you
Wow, what an incredible dining experience! we stopped in for flavor south florida and we will most definitely be back! everything was spectacular- the mojitos especially! We enjoyed the baked brie, Dada dates, sixty south grilled salmon, freebird, fried cider doughnuts, warm banana bread and the raspberry and blackberry mojito!

The ambiance is amazing and the service was great! Overall, the food was good but I wouldn't necessarily bring friends here for that reason. The pumpkin ravioli and the lump crab cake were both delicious. The other apps we ordered were okay. For example, the tuna tartare and spinach artichoke sounded better than it tasted. I'm not too surprised because it's an American restaurant, so it makes sense for the Asian fusion dishes not to be that great. The dessert was delicious though! I started with a French Martini whose quality which isn't what I'm accustomed to. I hinted at discussing this with Jose the bartender but decided against it as I have a better one. There was a cocktail our server recommended which didn't appeal to me whose name I didn't bother to remember. The crispy cauliflower was a decent appetizer. I ordered the short ribs which were alright but seriously was lukewarm which isn't appealing. Fried cider doughnuts was what was ordered for dessert. It was okay but were not warm. This place is amazing. Cute house converted into a breakfast place. Their Sunday brunch was fantastic. Very well priced, large portions and everything was delicious. I had their pork belly Benedict special and it was incredible. The staff was very friendly. It was a slightly older crowd which was great because no one was getting sloppy. I've been going to Dada's for YEARS, just a tad behind on reviews This is a very unique place, great for a date night! It's an old eclectic house with cozy outdoor seating underneath a huge tree. You're one block from Atlantic Avenue so easy to walk to other places before or after. Most of their menu is eclectic, so you'll enjoy Dada's more in my opinion if you're a foodie. Some must have staples from the menu are the dates, grilled Brie, and the braised short ribs. You cannot go wrong with those! Recently they added an gnocchi dish which I am obsessed with! The guanciale on top (pork belly) gives it a nice sweet crunch. The staff is always friendly, well versed with the menu and specials, and highly attentive. read more

I had not eaten at DADA in more than 5 years, and decided to surprise my husband of 51 years by booking a reservation for Sunday brunch, w/o telling him where we were going. And, WOW, were we both pleased and impressed. There is a consistency in all of the restaurants managed by Sub-Culture Restaurant Group. A funky vibe, outstanding unique and daring dishes, on point servers who are awake, pleasant, and informed about the dishes being served, and a clean eating environment. You may say, so what, every place I eat should be like that. Well, you're right, but this is South Florida, and its a challenge to operate any business, especially restaurants. And now to the food choices, which were all inviting as described. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was delish, lightly fried, and cut into three sections. Served with skinny well done crispy fries, it was filling and satisfying. Pork Belly Benedict was made just right., The eggs were not overcooked, and the pork was cooked all the way through. With the sauces added it was scrumptious. Ordered a side of grilled asparagus, and at $7, it was cooked just right, served hot, as all of the food. None of that sitting around on a counter waiting to be picked up, under a heat lamp, with a server stating be careful of a very hot plate, with luke warm food. not here. The cappuccino was also served hot, as requested . We enjoyed banana bread, with two scopes of ice cream, one was a combo of delights to my tongue. BRIANNA was our server, and she was as sharp as can be, and was not phased by the brunch crowd. Will we back? Without a doubt. And likely for dinner. Forgot to mention that we dined outside, and it was delightful. All the tables are covered, and there was little street noise, even though on the Ave, there is the possibility of being overwhelmed by men driving their cars and blasting their music...Also, there clearly was a manager present, who not only brought food to tables, but also checked in with his guests. Wow, I was blown away with the food here. I ordered the Sixty South Grilled Salmon. The salmon was soft and separated easily, and the glaze really brought the flavors with the broccoli and rice nicely together. One of the best salmon I've had. For drinks, the Tristan Tzara had a great bite to it and well-balanced with the sweetness. Loved it here and hope to come back! The outdoor seating is really nice and comfortable. read more

Thrilled to try this place for the first time. The front patio looked like the perfect place to eat during the winter months. I sat at the bar and chatted with Sergio the bartender who urged me to finance the bottomless Bloody Mary special instead of just settling for one cocktail at only a few dollars less. We went to check out the St Patrick's Day parade last Saturday. Block parade at The Av was so much fun. So many people showed up for this. Dada was open for lunch (normally dinner only) for this special event. We got to seat outside served by the bestest server Love. We asked her what she thought of the Corned Beef plate with a side of Banger, she said those were great choices as they were popular. We actually got the last Corned Beef plate and that was spectacular. From the mashed p with onion gravy, beer braised cabbage, honey carrots and horseradish sauce - everything that came with the plate was flavorful. We also came back yesterday with friends to use a $30 off of $90 through inKind. I had to come back for the Freebird and Dada Dates :-D. read more

What an absolutely, delightful place! I'll spare the details but we had plans for another restaurant. Because of unforeseeable, pretty unfavorable circumstances, our plan was derailed but we still needed to have dinner and by the time we were able to dine it was almost 10 pm. I did a search and found this place served on the later side and I want to say that this was not at all "settling". After dining here, this would be my first choice. The place is so cozy and beautiful with lots of sparkly lights and a big beautiful outside area (as well as inside) for which to dine. Our server was so pleasant and provided great service and our food arrived hot and delicious. We had orders of burgers that were cooked just right and meaty, a fried chicken sandwich which was juicy and flavorful as well as an order of salmon. All very good. I must mention the truffle fries! So good! Shoestring with parm added as well! The vibe here is so laid back and mellow and it felt so nice to sit in a cozy place, enjoy our food and feel at peace in such a great environment. If you want to get out of the "fray" and enjoy a delicious meal this is your place. You won't be sorry. read more

If you haven't been to Dada yet , you are missing out. Open since 2000, we have been going there for 25 years. Much of the menu is still the same. Probably their best dish is also their signature dish, Braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, red wine gravy and smoked tomato jam. Absolutely delicious. Service is always great, especially if you get a server who has been working there for a few years. Nice and cozy inside with a great bar, there are plenty of outside tables. We recently discovered their delicious brunch and our last visit was during happy hour. They have plenty of delicious items to choose from for brunch, including different types of eggs benedict , omelets, burgers, and a fantastic bread pudding. Happy hour cocktails were poured into a large glass and they have reduced prices on the happy hour list. If you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night, I suggest making a reservation. Parking can be tricky you can valet or park on NE 1st ave. , one block behind the restaurant. read more

When the weather is perfect the best dining spot is Dada under the large Banyan tree where the colorful lights hang. Service is always great. Salmon cooked to perfection. My friend and I went on a rainy night it was perfect outside. The service was great. The people watching was even better. I had the dates and they were nothing short of flavorful. I met a group of people here for Sunday brunch. There is plenty of free parking nearby and it's a beautiful area. The wait staff was ready for our party of 9, which is rare at restaurants for large parties. We sat outside, the sun was covered so it was quite comfortable. I ordered the crab cake Benedict. All of our orders basically came at the same time, which is also rare for large party orders at restaurants, so that was impressive. The meal was delicious. The waiter was responsive and friendly. I can see why this place is very popular. Definitely would come here again. read more

Hands down one of my favorite visits. Starting with the atmosphere and adorable themes for each room. We started off with a drink at the bar. Nico gave us a few pointers on what to try once seated. We were quickly greeted by the manager Avani, who got us a table pretty quickly. We sat in a back room with adorable hot air balloons. From here, Heather took over our table and she was ON IT.
