Easily the best place to eat in clarion. I usually get a chicken cheese steak, since this is the only place I've found in the area that makes one. Everything is cooked properly and tastes great. The fries are delicious and always made fresh. And the burgers are always changing, which is a good and bad thing. My favorites have been the bilbo baggins, which was two potato skins on a burger with bacon and cheese, and the Manny Sanguillen, which was pulled pork with a pierogie on a burger. Only problem is when you find a burger you love, it's gone next week. The staff are always friendly and have yet to have a bad experience here. read more

This place is simply amazing! They offer a wide variety of bar type food that is very good! You can eat there multiple times and change up your order every time and be content or order Eddie Dogs every time and they never get old. Their prices are great too! They also catered my wedding and the food was a huge hit! We had a Texas BBQ theme. I moved from Clarion to Texas and the BBQ was on point. I've been to Daddy's once, and I won't be going back. Food was overly greasy, which is all I can remember about the taste of my fish sandwich -- grease. I've been to many "joints" in my life, having lived in many towns and cities. This place is just very poor quality -- unless you're into the kind of food you get a bad street fairs. I'm not sure why people want to complain so much about the decor of the place. It's a small, privately owned business, and since there aren't decorations, collectibles, or murals painted on the walls, the costs of having those things doesn't get passed onto the customer. Places like Applebee's, Hard Rock Cafe, and Max & Erma's factor that overhead into your bill when really you should just be paying for the food. That's what you get at Daddy's. The food is awesome, and it's reasonably priced. That's what I want from a restaurant. I don't care about a bunch of goofy crap being on the walls. This place has the best muffaletta I've ever eaten, and everything else is exceptional to boot. If I had to make one complaint, it's that they can't cook a burger to temperature to save their lives, but I'll let it slide because it's not that big of a deal. Eat there. read more

Probably my favorite place to eat in Clarion. Can't go wrong with anything here. The specials change every day. They have some amazing sandwiches and burgers and the specials are always creative and different. It's hard to pick a favorite sandwich or burger when there have been so many great ones. We drove three miles from the highway to eat at Daddy's because of the reviews we read from others on Yelp. Let me save you some gas (pun intended). We ordered the double burger and cheese fries. We were disappointed with burger because the "grass fed beef" was no better tasting than beef at any fast food restaurant. The burger was served with all the toppings you could want, but on a cold bun. The cheese fries were warm at best and were dark brown and oily. In spite of that, the two guys serving us were really friendly. It just goes to show that good service will many times help erase the taste of mediocre food. read more

Stopped in for the first time over the weekend and I am glad I did. Great service, nice people and the good looks delicious. I only had a cheesesteak, but it was one of the best I've ever had! This place is well known for its burgers. As I am a college student, I decided to visit the local hot spots that is rumored famous in my town. I order the Hope Rising burger because it sounded really good in the description on the Specialties list and the proceeds for ordering went to the foundation so it was charity in a meal which is a big plus. The staff are really friendly and have close bonds with each other. The time it took for the meal for probably 10mins max because I was in a group of 8. All my friends and I enjoyed ourselves and our meal. The food was nice and warm and the bun was perfectly round and very firm to hold all the additives of the sandwich. I was full after I finished the burger and before I even touched the fries. I definitely recommend coming here in the evening time with friends or family to sit and enjoy a great scrumptious meal. This is the best place to eat when I come home to visit clarion. You get exactly what you want, and they take the time to get to know your order and what you like. The portions are huge, I always have extra for later. Everything is always cooked fresh and homemade. They have new specials all the time so you can always try something new. The French Fries should always be ordered as an accompaniment, they will not disappoint...get the dipping cheese as an add on. If you don't know what to get, Darren will guide you the right way. Personal recommendation for those who are unsure....get the The Godfather sandwich. Locally grown Clarion Farms beefsteak (by the Port family), sausage, tantalizing green and red peppers and onions and melted cheese makes my Philly friends jealous. You can't go wrong here! There are tons of options. A really great variety. Not only do they have all of their regular menu items, they have an entire specials sheet everyday. This was the first time we tried this establishment. The wings were mediocre, and they do not serve ranch or blue cheese with the buffalo wings. Anyone who gives Daddy's a poor review is an idiot... Plain and simple. I've never had a bad meal there. Everything is cooked fresh and hot. The burgers and specials are spectacular. The menu is amazing and contains food you just can't find anywhere and it's delicious... it's true. The food. The menu... All of it... It's all true. The dining area is small, but it is CLEAN. I don't know what axe some of the jerks in these reviews have to grind, but they certainly aren't representing a restaurant that I've enjoyed many, many times and continue to revisit and enjoy. I'm certainly not a relative of anyone associated with the restaurant and I'm appalled at some of the language in these reviews. When I lived in the area, I used to stop here every week, without fail. They sell "strip style" sandwiches, akin to Primanti Bros. signature sandwiches loaded with coleslaw and french fries. Now, I had never been to Primanti Bros. before trying Daddy's.. had only seen it featured on television. Daddy's version was absolutely amazing. HUGE portions. I had to split with a friend. We'd usually get an order of loaded cheese fries, as well, and always ate every last artery-clogging bite. When I left college, and inevitably craved these sandwiches, I decided to make a day trip out to Pittsburgh to stop at Primanti Bros. to order one. They were the original so they must be even better than Daddy's, right? Wrong. Primanti's may have come up with the sandwich, but Daddy's certainly perfected it. I immediately regretted my decision of not heading to Clarion. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service always was, as well. They're very friendly and welcoming. I attend the University virtually now, and when I graduate, I'll be attending commencement. I think I may be more excited to be handed my Daddy's sandwich than I am my diploma. read more
