Fast Patch Drywall Company - Shed drywall project

    Fast Patch Drywall Company

Recently purchased a house that needed electrical updating, which left several long portions of…read moredrywall open, along with various holes. Fast Patch was the only one of several companies that quickly responded with a precise estimate after reviewing several photos of the proposed work, and were able to schedule the work promptly. The work was done by Fidel, who arrived right on time and did an outstanding job, including matching the texture of the wall perfectly. Once painted, there was no difference between the patched sections and the rest of the wall. Really excellent work.

That alone was concerning, but it got worse from there. They only did work in one room, which they stopped painting the ceiling a foot away from the wall and it is very noticeable. We were then told the complete job would be delayed, and it ended up being put off for two weeks. During that time, we had already moved all of our furniture out of the space, expecting the work to be done--so we were left living in an empty living room for no reason. On the day they were finally supposed to come back and complete the job, which I had planned to show them the poor painting finish, they didn't call to discuss, they just emailed us and said they believed the cracking might be due to a structural issue and that they were no longer comfortable doing the work. At that point, we were back to square one after weeks of inconvenience, with no solution and no accountability. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and last-minute cancellation made this a very disappointing experience.

You know how some companies are so good that you hesitate to post how great they really are because…read moreyou don't want them to get 'too busy' kind of in a selfish way? These guys are that good! I had the chance to work with Snohomish Handyman (Pete and Mark) for three different projects. Project 1-this was our "get to know you" project. I had taken our cedar sauna apart as part of a home project, and had gingerly taken the cedar bits out so that the sauna could be rebuilt. Well, Pete and Mark didn't just put our sauna back together. It was craftsmanship at its best. One would never know that it had ever been taken apart. They even assisted with a design feature improving on my suggestion(s). Project 2-so after our great success with Project 1 I asked Pete if he would help with a list of 'things' that needed doing around our house. Some of these were basic like repairing sink stoppers, installing doorknobs, etc. The biggest of Project 2 was to rebuild our garbage slide in the kitchen which required the mechanical part to be removed from the cabinetry, a new platform built to support the sliding mechanism, and then reinstalling of the mechanism on the new support piece. When Pete did the reinstall, he made several significant improvements that improve things overall. Project 3-Pete and Mark successfully replaced several pieces of fascia on our 30-year-old Lindal solid cedar home, that over the years had started to degrade at the ends. (I think many homeowners are familiar with this phenomenon.) Pete was able to successfully source the necessary high-grade cedar in a very difficult market (pricing, yikes!). They stained the cedar prior to its installation, which meant at least two days of curing. They then installed the fascia board and edging in the areas to be replaced. But they didn't stop there. Pete and Mark custom crafted copper coverage for each piece they replaced. This repair was executed with diligence and expertise, and was beyond the scope of many other crafts people I've spoken with. Note the breadth of the work they completed our residence? They executed repairs of the simple stuff with the same degree of care and attention to detail as they did all the big stuff. They have a broad range of capabilities and expertise and are friendly and easy to work with. I found their pricing model straightforward. So, what's the best part? These are honest, trustworthy, hard-working folks who really want to do a good job for you! So let's keep them busy... But remember, not too busy as we still have a bunch of projects that need completing :-)

We asked Pete for help designing and building a modern looking hogwire fence to replace an old…read morepost-on-pipe decorative fence that was installed on top of a short concrete wall. I was really hoping to avoid damaging the concrete, and Pete came up with a great solution to leave the existing pipe imbedded in the wall, remove the post only, and buy posts that had the core drilled out to put back on to the pipe. This alone saved a considerable amount of time and money in my project and more than paid for his services! Further, he took my really rough drawings and helped improve the design to make it stronger, and had all the expertise to execute the build to a high standard! In the end, I ended up with a fence that looked WAY better than I ever dreamed! I can't recommend Pete enough: he produced excellent work, was willing to teach me (and my curious kiddos!), and was one of the most professional and nicest handymen I've ever hired. I certainly won't hesitate to call him for any other projects that I have coming up.

One of the biggest projects in the home where re-sheeting the ceiling throughout my whole house with existing popcorn ceilings. Tim was our first contact and I immediately could tell he's a straight shooter. I own a small mechanical company with both a service and installation department to manage, Tim presents his company in a manner I can see he takes both perspectives into consideration. He explained why one method over another will present pros and cons, this kind of attention to detail shows he knows what to look out for and have my best interest at hand. He took his time and measuring and scoping the work for the project and was able to give me a quote before he left explaining thoroughly what to expect and why are you choosing his company would be both cost-efficient and present the highest value. I had four companies to compare to all with four star ratings are higher and locally in this area. Tim won this project strictly on his experience and genuine personality that is easy to trust with the matter of a handshake and signed contract. The project took a little over four days with a full day of curing the mud and sealants. Tim was here every day with his lead journeyman Brian, who is also extremely knowledgeable, professional demeanor, and someone I would love to have on my team just with the attitude he presented to get the job done the right way. (Very hard worker) I know how competitive our market is, and how honest reviews or testimonials can really affect a companies reputation. I would highly recommend Able Drywall to all my friends and family.

Even the county inspector was impressed! Keith is easy to work with, listens well and did a fantastic job translating our vision to reality. We have a Spa level master bath now and we love it. Their timeliness was spot on, we did have the usual shipping delays (especially during the flooding earlier this year in Snohomish County) but as soon as thing came in they were on top of it and got things installed very quickly, The flooding added about a week to the timeline. Its been about 3 months since they finished and we have had no issues. We liked their work so much that we retained them to remodel our Guest Bathroom and again no issues and they were a pleasure to work with. Very reasonable priced and will work with you to meet your budget.

I hired Keith and team to remodel my master bath shower because of a water leak. Overall, I had…read moremixed feelings about my experience. Everything went well until I felt like he tried to gaslight me into believing a piece of trim they removed near the shower was bigger than it was and they weren't going to texture the area that they had mudded. It turned out to be a miscommunication between him and his drywall contractor, but the conversation didn't leave a good taste in my mouth because even with proof in pictures, he argued with me quite a bit that the area they had mudded looked like that because the trim they removed covered the whole area and they weren't going to fix it. (Attached photos for illustration) I'm happy with the tile work even though there are some imperfections with the shower fixture installs, but those can be overlooked. The caulking was terrible and didn't look like it was done by a professional. When I inspected it the first time, I let it go because I thought it wouldn't be a big deal to remove it and re-caulk it myself when we eventually had to. However, after I showered in it for the first time, it leaked because they didn't fully caulk parts of the shower door. We re-caulked the areas that they missed, but I'm probably either going to have to hire another professional to remove the existing caulk and re-caulk it eventually or have to deal with it myself after paying so much money for the remodel. We also discovered a deep gash on the shower pan after thoroughly inspecting it. While they did come back to remedy this, it felt like it took some convincing that this wasn't a factory defect before agreeing to come back and resolve it. We found out when they came back that a piece of tile was indeed dropped in that area and caused the gash. Lesson learned, don't pay unless you're really satisfied with the outcome. This review is 3 stars because they were nice enough to help me fill in a couple sections of grout that flaked away in a different part of the house that was unrelated to this project. Addition in response to owner's reply: I may be a bit confused about the trim. I assumed that if something originally part of the demo was removed, it would be replaced to match the previous look. I didn't realize I needed to specify this, but it's a lesson learned for the future. As for the shower fixtures, I distinctly remember a verbal acknowledgement that even if we bought a new shower fixture, that you wouldn't charge us anything additional to install it. I was charged for the extra parts of this additional install and happily paid that. I unfortunately did not notice that the shower fixtures were installed a bit crooked until after showering in it, but as mentioned, they are things I can live with. Nonetheless, thank you taking care of the install. In regards to the caulking, perhaps you may have misremembered that during inspection, you asked us if we had touched the caulking and we told you we did not, so your response mentioning that we touched anything during inspection is incorrect. To clarify for future readers, the photos of the caulking I uploaded with my review show the original finished work, before we made any touch-ups to address the leaking issues. As mentioned before, it was absolutely my fault for not calling out the poor job before signing off on it, but it's a lesson learned moving forward. Indeed, the remediation and renovation work of the drywall and carpet were done well, so no complaints there. Addition in response to owner's new reply: It's becoming increasingly difficult to follow your story on the caulking since it's not true. Again, I want to reiterate that during the inspection, we did not touch the caulking, and it's disappointing to see that rather than acknowledging the poor caulking job by your team, there are explanations being created to justify it. At this point, I won't be updating this review further, as it seems to be turning into more of a "he said, she said" situation. Best of luck.
