Nigiri Dinner Platter! (Total of 16 pieces)
    Ava W.

Really overpriced for the small portions! Friends and I were craving sushi and we lived around the area so we thought we'd pop in and try this place out. However, when we ordered we though a platter worth $25 would fill us up, that was not the case. The platter, though was very pretty, came with 16 pieces, coming down to almost $2 a piece! (the pieces were also very small!) We ended up ordering some more sushi but we were all still just as hungry as we were when we walked in AND we had paid much more than we anticipated. Definitely a place to try if you're into fancy cuisine but if you're trying to find a sushi place that's affordable and wont leave you hungry this is NOT the place.

We stopped in on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. Place was clean and nice atmosphere. Tasty sushi. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Service was great.

Ordered takeout last Friday, so granted a busy night. But the pan fried gyoza was burnt beyond recognition and was absolutely inedible. The sushi was fine, but wouldn't trust this kitchen again.

Most of the time we try the AYCE menu for the 2nd premium tier. Some of the favorites we like to order are the Harami skirt steak, shrimp & mushroom ahijo. The addicting cucumber is also super tasty and the spicy sauce I use with the other meats too. We've also tried à la carte to try the Wagyu specials. We could tell the distinct difference in the quality of the meats. The texture and mouthwatering taste. We've never had an issue with the service. For AYCE they might bring your orders in waves. Also don't be afraid to flag down your server to change out your grills. I've also started taking advantage of the app offers which definitely helps since eating here can add up. I've been able to redeem for the $25/25% off as well as the birthday $15/15% off. 4.5/5 - Given the place gets super busy I have noticed that it has not been the cleanest between patrons of the sticky sauce containers and left over wrappers at the tables which can detract from the ambiance.

This prompted us to look for alternatives...Fins in Waltham was open and taking orders and allowed us to get the Sushi on time. We tried it. We ordered the large boat raw and maki raw. $160 worth of sushi. The order was prepared quickly for pick up. There is a bunch of off street parking. The restaurant has about 8 various sized tables in side and a bar that seats probably another 6 or 7. The place looks clean and modern. The lone worker was pleasant and friendly. The order was correct and packaged well. Compared to Super Fusion in Watertown: 1. We usually order the party platter from Super Fusion as well, but it does cost like $20-$30 more at Super Fusion. However, they do give you more sushi...but no miso soup included anymore. 2. The family agrees that Super Fusion tastes better. I also noticed the sashimi was larger from Super Fusion. 3. One family member spat out a small piece of bone in their sushi from Fin's. This never happened at the other place, and we've gone to them for many years. 4. Fin's is more generous with providing enough wasabi and soy sauce when we asked for extra. 5. Fin's looks a lot more modern and fancy...they are in fact a newer establishment in the area. The free off street parking matters as well, as you only get street meters for Super Fusion. While we're glad to give a new place a try, and the sushi is not bad, we think Super Fusion is better. My kid and her friends frequently go to Fin's due to convenience and thats perfectly fine. I hope they stay around for a long time, as having options and competition is good. I'm thankful they were open and taking orders on Christmas Day, and I was served with a smile. Thank you!

Oh the cool honeycomb ramen place! I've seen ads for this ramen restaurant on my Instagram numerous…read moretimes, and the big catch that seems to get everyone is the cool honeycomb booths. This was always a place we wanted to try, but still quite out the way where we haven't bit the bullet. When my birthday was right around the corner, we thought, what perfect time! Well, my birthday ended up being pretty busy so we pushed this off a couple of months for a special date night. I saw online that there were only a few private honeycomb seats, and since this was the whole appeal for us, I wanted to make sure we got one of those cool tables. I ended up calling them a week ahead to make a reservation, specifically for a honeycomb seat. They informed me that they cannot guarantee it, but they will make a note of it and try their best.  Fast forward to the ramen day, we managed to arrive about half an hour earlier than our reservation. I figured we'd wait inside just in case our table wasn't ready yet. We were greeted by the hostess, who, was relieved that we did show up early because she had one table left that she was holding for us. Alas, we got top row of the honeycomb! That experience alone was worth it. It was super cool with the privacy and having our own control center to call for a waiter. There were other standard seats in the center of the restaurant, as well as curtained-off seating on the other perimeter, which offered another option of privacy. I ordered the omurice, another popular dish I've seen on Instagram. This place was a lot easier to get to than Japan. My fiancé ordered a ramen. My meal came with a bao appetizer, a Thai tea, and a dessert. The table also had some spices/seasonings and hot sauce. Our food came out fairly quick and we were eager to dig in. My rice was presented by the waiter, who sliced the egg in half, opened up the gooey insides, and poured gravy all over it. I could not wait! It was pretty tasty and the egg was a fantastic consistency. I quickly filled up and was stuffed. My fiancé has mentioned that his ramen was probably one of the best bowls he's had in any restaurant (he still mentions it to this day).  Overall, I think the hype was definitely worth is. The unique experience that the seats offered was accompanied well by the delicious food. We would love to come back, but I fear we may not get the cool table, which is just the cherry on top. The food definitely holds its own so it wouldn't be too much of a disappointment if we missed our chances.

I've been here numerous times and will definitely keep coming back.
