My sister and I split an order of their Spicy ramen with pork since we had already shared food from another shop in the cafeteria. It was perfect for us to share and would have been plenty for a single serving. It had a perfect amount of kick while being well flavored. I added a bit of water to increase the volume and dilute the broth. The pork was tender and soft. The half egg was hard boiled as opposed to soft. Overall, we had a good experience. The cashier was nice and automatically gave us a small bowl when we asked for a second set of chopsticks. I'm more than interested to try more items from their menu. read more

I was visiting HMart in Burlington and figured I'd check out the food court. I stopped by San Soo Kap San Sushi to see if maybe there was a hidden sushi gem in the food court. The nigiri tasted about what you would expect from super market sushi, nothing wrong it with and not particularly great. The rice was under seasoned. The price seemed decent, I want to say it was maybe 12 pieces of Nigiri and it came to $18.18 with tax. I wouldn't get food from here again, but I found myself at the food court of HMart again, in need of a meal, it was definitely edible. read more

This grab-and-go sushi stall is located inside of Hmart Burlington. They have a good amount of prepared sushi and grilled fish in containers in the front along with bottled beverages. And then the rest, the menu is posted on the wall for hot or cold dishes freshly made upon order. Because it's attached to a grocery store, parking depends on how busy it is. But I would travel here during odd hours so I haven't had any issues. Una-Ju- Broiled eel on a bed of rice. Side of seaweed salad, crab stick, yellow pickled radish. Not a fan of crab sticks just randomly inserted but everything else was pretty good! Overall Service: When I am hungry, I tend to stare at the menu for a while and the staff here were very patient with me. I made my order and they let me know the estimated time it will be done. Located at the first stall in hmart, it's usually the busiest one. There is a ton of variation from ramen, udon, stir fry, and sushi. Can order ahead to pickup to make it faster. If you order at the counter, they'll give you a buzzer to pick up again. We got the tonkatsu ramen and udon noodle soup. Both were very very average. It used to be much better, but now I don't know if I'd go back. It's better to eat there than go shopping on an empty stomach though! read more

Less 1 star because it's a food court but I ordered for dine in and the cashier noticed I was by myself with a baby. He was so kind and brought the food out to me and then joked with the baby a bit. The sushi was so fresh and delicious, it hit every mark. I was surprised at the beautiful presentation. I finally got to try raman! Stopped in here for a quick lunch break- spied raman on the menu. I ordered the spicy raman- choice of pork or beef; I chose pork. Got a beeper and it was ready in about 7 minutes. Raman came with a small dish of kimchee, which I did not care for. So the raman was ok. It did not blow me away. Not much pork. The food court at the HMart is always full of happy people eating so I have been meaning to give something a try. Stopped at this place bcuz they had food I recognized but at last that was not the best choice. My spicy miso ramen was barely warm and the spice level was mild. My egg was also overcooked. The ramen was average so 3 stars. I took away a star because the udon noodles were gross and slimy. Not sure why there was no flavor to the food. Maybe we chose he wrong things from here. I can't speak for the other items on the menu , but I ordered the Spicy Ramen with pork today and was very disappointed with what I got. The meat didn't seem fully cooked , and was under seasoned as well. The broth and the noodle itself were actually good. The egg was hard boiled instead of being soft boiled which also seemed like a weird choice. Also it seemed like too much broth and took little meat . Considering all this and the hole-in-the-wall nature of the place I wouldn't have been critical, but the price was just way too high to justify. Came here for lunch on a whim after picking up some groceries at HMart. Ordered a Miso Ramen and sat down to eat. There was a rather interesting mix of toppings. I've never seen bean sprouts and black fungi in ramen before, and I've had ALOT of ramen all over the world. It also came with a small side dish of kimchee, which seemed odd. The egg was hard boiled instead of soft boiled and was pretty bland. The broth was just salty, no sense of any miso flavor or any umami. It tasted like they let the miso boil, which you're never supposed to do. The ramen noodles were well cooked and had a nice chew. But the broth is king when it comes to ramen and this one is definitely a miss read more

I buy from this stall monthly and while it is a bit of a pricier "fast food" lunch I find the sushi very fresh and I like the ramen/noodle soups. The sushi boxes are a quick grab and go for me but some of them are as much as $16.99 (those with the sashimi slices), and others are $7.99. Quality is way better than Market Basket though. I've also had the ramen and also have substituted sometimes for udon noodles. Find it a solid, consistent choice as well. Not for the food snobs but it's an enjoyable (not cheap) Asian fast food lunch. read more

They make some pretty solid food! If you're in a rush, they have prepared sushi boxes for you to grab and go. If you have some more time, then definitely check out the various items that they have on their menu. Their Tonkatsu Ramen is quite delicious. It's much tastier than I expected. The consistency of the ramen and the flavor of the broth really hits the spot, especially during the cold winter. The best part? I think I/my family can call myself/ourselves regulars here now that we've averaged ordering a sushi party tray about once a month. The fish quality is usually very good. A couple times the sushi rolls seemed more rice than anything; and sometimes seemed rushed. I prefer the sashimi anyway. It's great that we can put an order in and the tray be ready in about an hour. This is very convenient for when we sudden to crave sushi for dinner, which is what happened today. Parking at Hmart can be frustrating as when it is busy...it is busy! So finding a spot can take a while. Even though the menu breaks down the amount of pieces and types of fish, I feel like the tray looks different every time we order. It could be due to what is available in the market the day of. I don't mind it since I'll eat the sushi anyway but I think there should be some consistency especially since it is clearly written out on the menu. The value for the platter is great. Can't find other places around Boston with this quality and quality for this price. Plus we drive about 40 minutes to get to Burlington. However, the prices have increased and the menu options have changed a bit too. This is a game changer (not in a great way) because we'll have to do more competitive shopping to see if there are other places with the same quality comparable to the new prices. We usually order the 7A or 7B, which have increased by $30 and $20 respectively. Across the board it seems as though prices have increased by about $20-$30 dollars while the count has decreased by about 8-20 pieces. read more

I actually like this place a lot, it's my eatery of choice when I go to H-mart. Their food isn't exquisite like an actual sushi restaurant but the quality and variety definitely beats any other food court sushi place. I love their hwedeopbap and last time I discovered their spicy ramen which is absolutely AMAZING. Even my cousin sworn never to eat raw fish loves their Hwedeopbap. I've also had their Sashimi platter, bento box and other dishes. They are very good! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to try something new at H-mart. One of the food court stalls at h-mart, I've tried both the ramen and sushi here, and would recommend you choose the former. The ramen is pretty decent - not too rich or fancy, but still enjoyable on a cold winter day. I've tried the tan tan and spicy miso ramens, and they were both decent. I wouldn't recommend the sushi though - I went for the sashimi bento box ($18ish after tax and tip! pictured) and the tuna was rock solid frozen! Like.. hurt your teeth cold! They do give you a good amount of fish as well as a fried mashed potato roll and goyza, but I really didn't enjoy the semi-frozen fish. At this price point this really shouldn't be an issue. This food stall is located within the H Mart supermarket and features a mix of both Japanese and Korean food. It caught my attention because I'm a ramen fiend and wanted to try theirs and was able to earlier today for $9. They have various broths available including tan tan (sesame), shoyu (soy sauce) and a few others as well. I went for their shoyu one and had them omit both the nori and also the naruto since I'm allergic to seafood and fish. I paid, was given a pager and sat at the table while the people bustled around me but not for long, as about 5-7 minutes later, I was able to pick the tray up. The bowl of ramen looks pretty appetizing. The sliced pork was very lean and was pretty good but the broth lacked a bit of depth in flavor. It was a bit on the bland side to be honest. In there alongside the pork slices were some wood ear and enoki mushrooms, some bamboo shoots and half of a hardboiled egg. The noodles were decent but could have been a bit chewier... Also on the tray came a side of kimchi and some pickled daikon (I think). I don't quite understand that move considering that ramen is Japanese and kimchi is Korean but considering that it was complimentary, it was a nice gesture on their party albeit a bit weird. This seemed to be one of the more popular food stands in that food court and people did seem to like their sushi and seafood quite a bit, which I unfortunately cannot have. All in all, it was pretty good but could have used a bit more 'humph'. I'll try to have some again in the future and will most likely go try their tantan broth which I hope will pack more flavor. We decided to eat here after getting some things from the Hmart, which this food court restaurant is located inside of. Hubby picked the sushi combo bento while I chose the grilled BBQ eel bento. Each meal came with a side of soup, pickled radish, and kimchi. Inside our bento were our main choices and a side of rice, salad, some California rolls, pickled ginger and wasabi, and a slightly sweet fried potato cake. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our meal very much! It was also very filling and more than enough. I would definitely eat here again! read more

I was there today to order $75 worth of sushi and the older man behind the counter took my money and proceeded to make sushi with the same gloves he took my money with. I called him out on it and he denied it after I clearly saw him do it. After some back and forth he changed his gloves but still used the same rice he grabbed earlier with the dirty gloves. I recently stopped in at H-Mart and figured I'd try the Ramen here. Honestly, it's more fast food style so I'm not expecting it to be spectacular, but the spicy ramen was pretty bland. Yeah, it had some zing to it, but the soup did not have much flavor. The pork was also pretty lean meat and was a bit tough. Typically a good ramen place will have more fatty pork that's tender when you bite into it. I ate the whole dish and thought it was fine to extinguish my hunger, but I'll try one of the other places next time. Freshest Sashimi in Boston! I surprised at the other reviews to be honest. I'm a really picky eater, especially when it comes to raw fish. I don't want ANY fishy taste at all. This place is soooo good. We usually get the $18 tray that has 20-30 pieces of sushi then the large $15 Maki tray of whatever. It's all good and we leave stuffed and never have leftovers despite my Korean friends ordering enough for 3 extra people. I drive out to Burlington specifically to get this sashimi at least a couple times a month since my friend introduced me to it in Sept.'12. We had a late lunch here recently. While waiting on the ramen, we noticed that they sold boxes of cheap cooked salmon parts at the fridge where they keep their pre-made sushi. I think these are the lower parts of the salmon including the ribs that is not used for sushi. We brought a big container of it and I regret gorging on it as it was too much of a good thing to eat all at once. read more
