Location: **** Menu Variety: *****…read moreService: ** Value: ** This review is based on smoothies compared to the competitor, Jamba Juice or even Good Harvest just down the road, and nothing more. Of course, taste is very subjective to each person but in my opinion and a few other smoothie drinkers I've asked, which one do you prefer in the battle of smoothies? All of us without hesitation prefer Jamba Juice for taste and value. The good: Smoothie King has a huge menu...HUGE menu which offers a variety of smoothies to fit your needs. From 21 energy blends to 24 fitness blends to 18 weight management blends to 19 healthy/wellness blends to 18 regular fruity blends to 6 kids blends you have a lot to choose from. The taste: Again, very subjective but Smoothie King is not as thick, seems sweeter (is that more juice?) and does seem to lack a full taste. I've had the protein and fruit smoothies and just doesn't compare to Jamba. Again, you decide. The "you decide": Service and value. Teenagers are the staff and if there is an issue, the few times I've been there, no management in sight. How about value? Smoothie King prices tend to be slightly higher than Jamba Juice, but they have different-sized cups so it's not a fair comparison, but it is more expensive. Depends on what you get, but a typical family of 4 walking out of there at least $30+ lighter in the wallet... so for me it is more expensive smoothie and not as good tasting (versus Jamba) but that's my opinion and what is your opinion?

I've been a regular at this location for about a year now. It's good, not great, but if I'm being…read morehonest I don't know that a smoothie joint could earn a 5-star rating from me. It's just smoothies! Here's how this place rates with me... I have never been inside! Every time I've been here, and it's probably been 75-100 times, I've always used the drive thru. That being said, from the window it looks modern and clean inside. About 90% of the time, I use the Smoothie King App. The app is easy to use, often provides deals and discounts, and I'm able to order what I want about 10-15 minutes before I arrive. I have a payment method attached to my app, so often I pay for my order from the app. This is very convenient, however I will say that nearly everytime I get there, I run into a scenario that I think Smoothie King can improve upon. I'll get to that in a bit. Almost everytime I've been here, the staff have been super nice! Truth be told, really all they have to do is hand me my smoothie. Most have been polite and very few were not. The speed of service is sometimes very slow. I've had several instances where I am waiting behind a car or two (only about 3 cars can fit between the order board and window at this location) for 10 minutes or longer. That can seem like an eternity for a drive-thru! And.....they are making smoothies, not baking a homemade lasagna! The scenario - so as mentioned earlier, I routinely order ahead on the app and then show up 10-15 minutes later. Often there are a car or two in line already when I get there. I've found that everytime there is a car in line ahead when I get to the order board and politely say, "I placed an order in the app for Tony," they ignore the name and say, "ok, pull forward to the window." Then when I get to the window, I have to repeat everything, including my name. Part of me thinks, if they would listen to my name the first time, they could speed this process up for everyone because when I get to the window they'd be exchanging pleasantries and handing my smoothie over instead of starting the process there. Trust me, this is super minor and not a deal breaker at all, but it happens everytime. Altogether, I like the smoothies. The place appears to be clean. The app is easy to use and the employees are usually nice. I keep going back and I think it's worth a try if you haven't been there before.

There are a couple of tables outside and more inside for small groups. Besides smoothies, and bowls, they sell other items including: snacks, protein powder, sauces, cards, etc. Was greeted by a friendly staff/barista. They were very helpful in explaining some of the menu options. We were interested in an Acai bowl, and ended up with small Karma and Dragon bowls. Also ordered a Chai Latte (extra foam please). While we were waiting there were several other people that stopped by. All of whom had pre-ordered their to-go orders. After a short wait, we got our bowls and chai. They were both very good. Fresh, well presented, and good portions. The chai was also well made. Nice foam. (could have been hotter, next time will not that). One small suggestion. The Acai puree was very cold/almost frozen. Maybe that works well for to-go, but I needed to have it thaw out a bit to really enjoy the flavor. Nice place that I would come back to.

The cookies are large so snacking on them is a dangerous road to go down, but oh, so worth it! I left then on a plate on my counter and as the day went on the cookies started to disappear. Luckily I had family to help me, but these are great cookies! No pictures of the whole cookies because they were started on before I could grab my camera. They will be gone by bedtime, I'm sure. These have flavor, unlike some others that are just plain dough with little flavor except for the chips or m&ms. Every bite is great!

My friend ordered a scotcheroo and a coffee. I watched the frozen lemonade being made, and it consisted of water, syrup from a refrigerated jug, a couple scoops of powder, and ice. Unfortunately, it tasted very artificial, more like frozen plastic than lemonade. I'd encourage the owner to consider using real lemons or more natural ingredients, as I think it would make a huge difference. My friend said the scotcheroo and coffee were good, but not particularly memorable.
