Location: **** Menu Variety: *****…read moreService: ** Value: ** This review is based on smoothies compared to the competitor, Jamba Juice or even Good Harvest just down the road, and nothing more. Of course, taste is very subjective to each person but in my opinion and a few other smoothie drinkers I've asked, which one do you prefer in the battle of smoothies? All of us without hesitation prefer Jamba Juice for taste and value. The good: Smoothie King has a huge menu...HUGE menu which offers a variety of smoothies to fit your needs. From 21 energy blends to 24 fitness blends to 18 weight management blends to 19 healthy/wellness blends to 18 regular fruity blends to 6 kids blends you have a lot to choose from. The taste: Again, very subjective but Smoothie King is not as thick, seems sweeter (is that more juice?) and does seem to lack a full taste. I've had the protein and fruit smoothies and just doesn't compare to Jamba. Again, you decide. The "you decide": Service and value. Teenagers are the staff and if there is an issue, the few times I've been there, no management in sight. How about value? Smoothie King prices tend to be slightly higher than Jamba Juice, but they have different-sized cups so it's not a fair comparison, but it is more expensive. Depends on what you get, but a typical family of 4 walking out of there at least $30+ lighter in the wallet... so for me it is more expensive smoothie and not as good tasting (versus Jamba) but that's my opinion and what is your opinion?

There are a couple of tables outside and more inside for small groups. Besides smoothies, and bowls, they sell other items including: snacks, protein powder, sauces, cards, etc. Was greeted by a friendly staff/barista. They were very helpful in explaining some of the menu options. We were interested in an Acai bowl, and ended up with small Karma and Dragon bowls. Also ordered a Chai Latte (extra foam please). While we were waiting there were several other people that stopped by. All of whom had pre-ordered their to-go orders. After a short wait, we got our bowls and chai. They were both very good. Fresh, well presented, and good portions. The chai was also well made. Nice foam. (could have been hotter, next time will not that). One small suggestion. The Acai puree was very cold/almost frozen. Maybe that works well for to-go, but I needed to have it thaw out a bit to really enjoy the flavor. Nice place that I would come back to.

Been here several times…read more It's a "nice" place on Pewaukee Lake. The signage is a little confusing, in that it's attached to another business (VeloCity Cycling), but just open the door and walk in. There are plenty of windows, so you know that you're in the right place. There are several different places to sit. Inside by the counter, a glass enclosed patio with a better view of the lake (the sunny can be overly bright and glaring), and outside seating during warmer weather. Got a friendly greeting by the staff, and help with the ordering. Got a couple hot drinks, including a London Fog Latte, and two scones (one blueberry, and another chocolate chip). The drinks were done nicely, with the London Fog including the necessary vanilla, lavender, and extra foam. The scones were good, but definitely not a traditional recipe. These were essentially muffins that were cooked on a cookie sheet and not a muffin tin. Had great muffing texture, not the tender/dry/crumble that you get with a real scone. I did ask, and apparently they make everything from scratch in house. When we arrived, there were just several tables of customers, but within the hour the entire place filled up. It's a popular place, and at times it could be hard to hold a conversation. It's a nice spot, with a great view, friendly staff and well made beverages. Would stop in again.
