Came in for breakfast one of the mornings while staying at the hotel. The restaurant itself is nice, very well-kept, and has plenty of options for food and drink. I went with the egg white omelette + chicken sausage and daymn was it a big portion! I definitely couldn't finish but it was a tasty meal. It also came out of the kitchen in a flash. Per usual in LA the prices are wild. $30 for one person to have breakfast (no drink included) is mind boggling for a midwest gal like me. Oh and what delightfulllll wait staff here! Years ago, I used to go to various Daily Grills. However, there aren't many locations anymore. This one is located inside the Westin LAX. They validate parking for 3 hours which is very generous. We celebrated a special occasion. I ordered a cup of clam chowder, a chicken pot pie which was huge, and a watermelon mojito. The others ordered pan seared salmon with asparagus and a reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was great including the sourdough served at the beginning. Jennifer and Jairo were the bartenders! They took excellent care of us. This is my favorite place to to go grab a bite to eat and a drink before I pick up a friend from the airport. They have a really good happy hour... Some pretty decent items are on the food happy hour list along with some drinks and it's just a really cool spot to go. It's such close proximity to the airport, but with easy in and out unlike some of the other spots in that area, so that's one of my favorite reasons for liking the daily grill is it's hassle free you know they've got music playing in the background... and it's interesting you know your meeting a bunch of different people that are all around you from all different places. It's in a hotel and you would think you would have a different kind of food but I'll tell you everything was excellent on the menu and this menu was vast steaks, shrimp salmon all for three win. The eatery is packed with travelers and hungry patrons. The large front bar was packed, so we were led to their large and pleasant dining area in the rear. Jaime was our server who was very efficient, friendly, and served us with a huge smile. Applause to Jaime for his excellent customer service. I enjoyed a large plate of their tasty cod and chips. Stayed at the Westin and felt lucky that one of the only decent food options nearby happened to be in the hotel. I usually like to go out and explore but it was pouring rain and cold out so Daily Grill it would be! Got food from here twice -- for breakfast and for evening dessert. For whatever reason, breakfast didn't allow for online ordering so I just called down to the restaurant to place the order. In 10 minutes my delicious "All the Meats" Breakfast Sandwich was ready to go. TBH I didn't read the menu that carefully so I wasn't sure what kind of meats were included but just took my chances. Turned out to be a nice link of kielbasa split and grilled plus a thick round of Canadian bacon. Meats were served with a properly cooked over medium egg sandwiched between nicely toasted good quality sourdough with a good amount of American cheese on both bread sides. Fresh to order tater tots were hot and crisp. Simple but good ingredients and cooked well. In the evening, I wanted something sweet to eat in my room so went online and ordered the carrot cake. It was good but nothing special. It was moist and I could see that there were carrots and a few walnuts inside, but it was more like a spice cake. It satisfied my cravings though. A nice surprise after an evening of disaster. We thought we would just oder pizza for our last dinner in Palm Desert but no matter where we called we couldn't order... on a Sunday night no less. The chicken pot pie and clam chowder was some of the best I have had. I was pretty hungry, but it hit the spot and was just what I needed to soak up some of the alcohol I was enjoying that night. Service at the bar (in the restaurant) was pretty good too I have to say, but ended up taking my food to the room to enjoy as I was a bit tired. As good as it was, I couldn't finish the chicken pot pie. I did the next day and enjoyed it just as much. I even ordered another clam chowder down at the regular bar the next day. Service wasn't as good, but same food as restaurant, with no wait so that evened out. The only thing I didn't thoroughly enjoy was the fried shrimp. It was decent but not as amazing as the other dishes. My only regret not taking another order of the pot pie and chowder to go when I checked out. read more

LAX location. I needed a place near the airport for a working lunch with colleagues in layover. DG has been a standby of mine for years. Inside the Westin it's usually busy, but even so it's not too noisy for a serious conversation. Solid food, I mean really solid. Calamari was reportedly quite good (I didn't try it). Fried chicken sandwich was of decent and better than average taste. Seared tuna salad was fresh tasting, not overdressed and the fish was cooked quite expertly. Grilled bread was... come on, how can any sort of bread on a grill not be great? Coffee was a well balanced dark roast and tasted good in both leaded and unleaded formulations. Apple crumble for dessert: excellent crust, very good (not overly sweet) cooked apples. Good place even if it's not a business meeting. And, they validate parking. read more

We ordered the Caprese appetizer and some bread. The bread is to die for! We couldn't stop eating it. The Caprese was ok the tomatoes could have been better but it's not an in season fruit at the moment. I'm sure it would be better this summer. My friend loved the grilled avocado. We ordered a cheese burger and the turkey meatballs. The burger was great although they served the sweet potato fries with ketchup. I asked for a ranch or an aoli to dip instead. They brought a remoulade sauce.... Fantastic! The ranch was good too. The turkey meatballs were good but a little under salted but that's an easy fix. The server was attentive without being intrusive. Overall service was very professional and all seem happy to be there. The remodel is beautiful! The manager Eartha and Francis had their chef make me, and Chewbacca, some delicious food to help me back to health! They really understand the needs of someone away from home and give you all the kindness and nutritional support you need! I think it would be a great place to bring a date, family or for a business meeting too because they have a peaceful atmosphere, extensive menu and a variety of seating options. You look one way and you can see a romantic corner, another camaraderie seated at the bar and then the big tables and booths for families plus heated outdoor seating! We are impressed! Stayed in Westin for 4 days for an event hosted at the hotel. With no car and little time to engage Uber for delivered food, we were often at this place. It was convenient to eat here, but, it wasn't good. I assume they get away with subpar flavor and over-priced food since their customers have little local options. The Cobb salad was unusual as it was already mixed up. Probably to hide the shockingly minimal amount of toppings. The burger came out with no sauce and only wilted lettuce. It was a dry, thin piece of meat. I asked for toppings and sauce to be brought out rather than send it back. The mahi mahi was very bland. The tacos needed more sauce. Just meh on the flavor. I like to eat. I love to eat out when traveling. These meals were sheer, expensive disappointment. read more
