Best snickerdoodle coffee ever!

This place is always busy. The food here is very good with muffins, baked goods, drinks, and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches. I really like the breakfast wraps which include egg, meat, and potatoes on a white or wheat wrap. Their muffins are also delicious. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I never fail to get aggravated during the order process. Service is extremely slow and the staff usually act like taking the order is an imposition. This week I had ordered a breakfast wrap, a bacon-egg & cheese sandwich with bacon well done, three muffins, and an iced coffee. At one point in the middle of the order the waitress just walked away from the counter, returning a couple minutes later to finish. To top it off, when I got home with the food, the bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich didn't have any bacon on it. Luckily the sandwich was for the wife; my wrap was well prepared and delicious. read more

My husband and I go to this place whenever we want a fresh bite to eat. Their burgers are really amazing! Honestly. And, their breakfast options are great, too. On the weekends, they also offer additional breakfast, like french toast, on their specials board. I can't speak to the cleanliness of the grill area (it looks pretty clean to me), but the bathrooms and the dining area are always sparkling clean. Their pastries are a bit hit-or-miss. We recently had a turnover there that was fantastic - fresh, tasty, etc. But, then we had a coffee roll (or a cinnamon bun), and it was just okay. It didn't seem like it was a yeasted bread, which is not what I would expect. Other than the pastries, though, you really can't go wrong at Daily Harvest. read more

A big thank you to the Yelpers who reviewed the Daily Harvest Cafe! I was looking for a new coffee place and consulted my BlackBerry Yelp app, and this was the first place that came up. I was not disappointed. I love the outside of the restaurant. That waterfall is beautiful. And, I love the fact that they have a nice parking lot. So many places rely on street parking, and when I end up not finding parking I get discouraged and go elsewhere. The woman at the counter was very nice and friendly. The whole atmosphere of the place was friendly. I would love to come for lunch with friends. And, their specials looked scrumptious. I stuck with the coffee, and I have to say it was the best blueberry iced coffee I have ever had. Service was prompt, and the price was great. I will definitely be back! Next time, I need to try their meatloaf sandwich as the ingredients looked delightful. And more iced blueberry coffee. Yum! read more

I went in to meet someone for an interview on a Saturday morning. It was super busy at 11 but soon quieted down. I grabbed a hot tea and an apple Danish while I waited. I was SO disappointed in the Danish! It was not flaky and it was full of air! It seemed like an appley spread was smeared on the inside of the pastry but there was absolutely nothing inside. I would like to try their lunch offerings and maybe a different pastry. It's busyness must mean it has some decent options and it's cute inside. But we will see if I ever make it back (it's not totally convenient for me to go). read more

People from work were ordering here so I ordered the kabob wrap I was between the Brittany wrap but this seemed a little healthier. So freaking good. Very fresh vegetables and the chicken you could tell was freshly baked. My coworker let us split a woopie pie and chocolate peanut butter cookie all was fabulous. Wrap comes with an apple or carrots very nice touch. I will definitely go back.i heard parking is tough but there's a Walgreens across from it with a lot of space. read more

Definitely my favorite sandwich shop/coffee joint on the North Shore. I've been here a bunch of times and have not been disappointed by anything I've had. Sandwiches and wraps will run you between $7-$10. Very reasonable considering you get a good amount of food. You'll also be able to choose from a range of bread bases. Try any sandwich- they're all great! Warm drinks are my second favorite thing about Daily Harvest Cafe. I've had the hot chocolate, lattes, and hot caramel apple cider ($3 bucks and change for a small- ok, so a little indulgence here). Mmm, mmm, and mmm! They also have an excellent selection of muffins and other baked goodies! They stay open until 8 every night, so you can stop in after work (my usual). read more

Duke of Earl sandwich... Avocado, roasted red peppers, cheese, sourdough bread... The yumminess goes on. I can't recommend this enough! Smoothies are pretty good. Chocolate croissant actually has some type of peanut butter in it so it's more like Nutella. Croissants are fresh and flakey. They also have gluten free items, breakfast, frozen yogurt and beers but I have only tried their sandwiches. The grilled cheese is also the best I have ever had. Soups have just been ok. read more

The Daily Harvest Cafe is a gem of a place tucked in between a Walgreens and a CVS. They serve a wide range of tastes and plenty of vegetairian options. They also are happy to accomodate most special requests. Their food is often local, fresh and "all natural" (or that's what their menu says.) The meals I've had there are always yummy. My only two compalints are: Consistency of service. While everyone there seems happy to be there (yay!) food takes a long time to come out and I've had a few "mistakes." greet me. They always offer to fix it, but I usually don't bother b/c of the wait. Side items: I KNOW they're trying to be healthy, but the only two side offerings are baby carrots (in a plastic bag) or a (usually tiny) apple. Tried this place while looking for something breakfasty and were pleasantly surprised. Prices are fairly reasonable and everything was tasty - my non-breakfast Thai Wrap is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. My only complaint is that servings are a bit small due to the sides offered. A very small apple is healthy and flavorful, but still leaves you wanting a bit more. read more

I haven't had breakfast at the Daily Harvest, but I have stopped for lunch there when out and about. It's so nice to have this cheerful little cafe to pull into after passing the McDonald's and tuning out the siren call of MickeyD fries. It's like a reward for having the willpower to do that. The decor is ecclectic-cafe. There are mix-and-match chairs and tables, and window views of a pretty little garden on the side of the building. If it's not crowded, it's a nice place to relax and read the paper (for us Luddites and old timers) or text your friends while snacking or lunching. Lunch here is about sandwiches and other short-order items. I love the wraps, because the flat, thin bread they are wrapped in is always soft and fresh, the veggies are always crisp and fresh, and the chicken or tuna I prefer for the "protein" part, is always fresh too. I like the Caesar chicken wrap -- tangy dressing in just the right amount, not soggifying and dripping out the ends. Get a bottle of juice to go with it, or iced coffee (we've had a warm autumn). A piece of pastry for dessert, or nibble on the healthy-choice apple they give you with your meal, and it's a filling but not heavy lunch. read more

If you're like me and actually like to taste your coffee, then this is absolutely the place to go for your daily fix! No matter the temps outside, I love iced coffee and the Toddy is by far one of the best I've had. The flavor is bold but not bitter and suuuuuper smooth, this is due to their cold-brew process and the TLC in brewing this glorious caffeinated nectar of the gods certainly shows. I also highly, highly recommend the All American breakfast wrap and the Orange Blossom smoothie. Yum Yum gimme some!!! read more

We needed a place to stop for a quick and easy bite and this place won on all accounts. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. It was prepared quickly and brought out to us. They also use real dishes and compost their waste. (yeh!!) The staff, especially the person at the register seemed to be having a hard day which was the only awkward moment. The coffee was delicious and there are many flavors for both lattes and coffee - hot and iced! Yum. They also have many options for those with allergies. read more

FYI- they now have take-out menus Went to Daily Harvest for lunch with a coworker today, what a great place! I had the Brittany Special wrap (grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, melted muenster cheese, red onion, tomato, & romaine with creamy ranch) and it was delicious. The dressing was perfect, creamy and not too heavy. I had a hard time deciding what chips to get to go with it, as they have a million choices, but I tried New York cheddar and herb Kettle Chips and they were awesome. I loved the service, they actually bring your food to your table with is pretty unusual in a cafe. They also use real dishes and glasses. The atmosphere was great, all different kinds of tables. They had a flat screen playing Food Network that was on mute with closed captioning so it wasn't obnoxious. I also saw on the way out that there was a little flat screen playing a kids movie that had headphones hooked up to it, something I've never seen in a sandwich. I am seriously drooling over the thought of Daily Harvest food right now. The first time I ate something from there was when I was a guest at someones house. I ate the "harvest wrap" with carrots on the side and I was Hooked. I couldn't wait to eat there again and try other things from the menu. The place itself is very warm and friendly. Their food is fresh and well prepared. Apart from lunch I also tried their breakfast bagel with eggs and cheese and it was to die for. I highly recommend this place! Went here the other day and ordered two sandwiches. One was the curry chicken salad and one was tomato, apple slices, cheddar, turkey, and honey mustard. Both were delicious as was the cafe-branded raspberry-lime soda (don't think that is all-natural or whatever they like to purport, though). The main reason we went here, and I apologize if it seems to have affected my rating immensely, was because of the "1st tart frozen yogurt on the North Shore" sign. We were going to order some after we ate, but got a sample instead. Man, I was expecting nice and creamy and -tart- Korean-style frozen yogurt but all we got was icy and lumpy and very, very sweet vanilla yogurt that had obviously been bought from a grocer and thrown into an ice cream machine. Yuck times a million. I don't like liars. Especially when it comes to tart frozen yogurt. They're charging more than what PinkBerry or BerryLine or Red Mango are charging and want to give you that pitiful excuse for a frozen dessert? No. Thank you. But I think we'll come back here to try their coffee and tea sometime. read more

Let me preface this by saying I have never written a review on anything...ever. This place is amazing. Great quality, fresh food, great service..yah the atmosphere can be busy depending on the time but it's because so many people enjoy this place. I work nearby so I have been here hundreds of times whether it be for a coffee, bakery item, sandwich or a salad. I've never been disappointed. They have exceptional cookies and chocolate croissants. The service is great. quick and friendly. Someone had mentioned a non functioning bathroom. I'm not sure she's talking about the same place. the bathroom is fine. Food is always so good, which always brings me back, but the service is so unbelievably slow!

I used to be a Danvers native. No longer am I anywhere near, but when I was, The DHC was a frequent stop of mine. Love the Chicken Fajita Wrap, very fresh and healthy. A very nice spin. Today I tried a Ham and Cheese wrap off their breakfast menu, which consists of Ham, Cheese, Home fries, Egg, Tomato, Chives, and honey mustard- all together in a wheat wrap. I told the young cashier that I wanted "everything, but the eggs, please". He re-clarified what I wanted about 3 times. He seemed slightly confused. Fine, it happens. I ask to add a pickle. He obliges. Now, in their defense they have always hired a more youthful crowd, so I expect slightly less enthusiasm and a little more chaos. In this case, just pure confusion ensues. I receive a wrap, nice and plump, on a small rectangular metal tray. He brings it to my corner table. He asks if he can get me anything else, and I meekly say "just the pickle if you don't mind", and finish it off with an embarrassed giggle. He returns with an extremely thin sliver of a whole dill pickle. I thank him, though slightly disappointed I added 1/16th of a dill to my order. Whatever. It's a pickle. This is where I'm mostly just annoyed enough to write a review. I am so humble, and passive, so I NEVER do things like this. I constantly accept disappointment out of convenience and fear of upset; BUT wtf. The wrap was FILLED with home fries. Jam-packed full. There is one slice of ham on the outer edge of the wrap, a slice of cheese, along with a plethora of home fry filler and honey mustard at the very end folds of the wrap. No chives. Barely any meat. No flavor, but the dry taste of seasoned potatoes against the wheat wrap. I douse it in ketchup and muscle through it, toward the end just tearing out the piles of starch and sliding them to the side of the plate... attempting to taste the ham, cheese, and honey mustard at the bottom of the half cuts of wrap. Instead of whining and making an issue, I go back to the cashier and order an Ally-berry Banana smoothie to wash down the taste of regret, and to replace the lack of food I consumed. A young female takes my order, confirms, and tells me I'm all set. Great. "You can't possibly ruin a smoothie", I think to myself. Well, a special kind of ignorant can, and they did by making it and stuffing it in a mini-fridge, all the while I'm standing 5 feet away, reading as other customers get their blended drinks- even ordering after me. I didn't know, or even see them do this. I was being patient, and giving them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sorry but 10 minutes, and a bundle of other orders later, I finally ask what the f is up... and that's where I am greeted with my mini-fridge temp, ultra liquid smoothie and an "oh, I guess they made it and stuck it in the fridge, haha" explanation. So let me get this right; I am visible and near-by, waiting like an idiot for a blended drink that was made and then shoved somewhere instead of in the consumers hands?! Seems legit. All the while you have random people back in the "kitchen" with their children, visiting and laughing with the staff. Do I really have "chump" written on my forehead, or what? I'm sorry. I'm really not trying to piss and moan about small things. I have always loved this gem. Always recommended it to visitors and family. Needless to say, this café has always been a great staple, but now it's just a bunch of disgruntled teenagers that needed a summer job; just so they can have no work ethic, or pride in their service. I get it. Life sucks, but that doesn't mean you have to. I regret leaving a tip at this point. read more

I WAS a regular at Daily Harvest, a few years back you knew the entire staff. Nowadays there's a new person every time you walk inside. This brings inconsistency. When you spend $10 for a sandwich, you want it made correctly. I would say 8 times out of 10, my order is wrong! It saddens me that every single time I go there they are either out of a major ingredient that makes the sandwich, or it's made incorrectly. I agree with other posts, your call ahead orders are made only to wait in long slow moving lines with the rest of the customers. I think an express line for coffee and to-go orders could fix this problem. Salads, which have been a go to item, have been made of mostly lettuce which tends to be wilted and minimal amounts of the good stuff (blue cheese, bacon, etc) I hope things can change for the better, I think it has such good potential to be amazing but unfortunately every time I try and give it another try I'm let down. read more

Long time fan of this Cafe... But I feel the quality and quantity have been steadily declining. The prices are a little high... but in the past it never really bothered me because the wraps, sandwiches, and salads were packed with meat! But now they barely put any meat on anything. Breakfast sandwiches only have like a piece and a half of bacon. The wraps mostly have filler potatoes and lettuce. I really do like the menu and the food and coffee is really good... but for the prices you pay I just expected they would not gyp you. This was at one time the best Cafe on the north shore so I hope they can turn it around!! read more

A great local business, my husband and I frequent daily harvest on weekends. Our go to see the avocado club and Thai wrap. They are perfect for lunch, my husbands only complaint is the portion size as he has a big appetite and could easily eat two! I recently met a girlfriend here for breakfast we had two kids under two which sometimes gets us eye rolls but the women behind the counter could not have been nicer or more patient! Cold brew iced coffee is delicious and they have great breakfast sandwiches, a bit pricey as a medium iced coffee was over $4 with tax but then again what isnt now a days!? Amazing cafe. Amazing staff. I've been here multiple times and every time I try something new and I haven't been disappointed yet. I'm a black coffee drinker and let me tell you that there is no going wrong with a large cup of their fresh brewed coffee, the nitro is a real kick in the butt if you need a pick me up! The feel of the cafe is amazing and the outdoor seating it perfect for this time of year! (Just need some more umbrellas, last time I was there there was only 1 outside but that didn't stop everyone from soaking up the sun on the patio!!) read more

I have eaten here more times than I can count with my family. The food is always good. My favorite things on the menu are the breakfast wraps and the everything bagel with cream cheese. I usually get the Veggie Sunrise wrap. The kids meals are healthy options that are tasty and my kids always enjoy them. Coffee is also good here. read more

We have been in 16 days at CCU at Beverly Hospital. A friend told us he was having lunch delivered to the Hospital. Daily Harvest Cafe delivered the most wonderful lunch. Everything was included. If you're looking to spend $5 so your kid can eat 1 cup of grape jelly and 1 tsp of peanut butter globbed onto a piece of stale bread with a side of carrots so dry that they ask,"Momma, what's this white vegetable?"... then this place is for you. If you want to spend $9 for a chicken fajita wrap that tastes like a wad of nothing--NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER-- leaving you to wonder if you imagined the ingredients that sounded so delicious on the menu but never came to be, and could have stayed home and eaten boiled chicken for the same experience... then this is the place for you. If you want to be given the option of an apple or a pear on the side just so that when you say pear they tell you they have no pears... then this is the place for you. If you desire a gyro wrap where the tomato wrap is so stale that it crumbles as soon as you pick it up depositing gyro chicken onto your pants... then this is the place for you. If this is the experience you want for $30 -2 sandwiches plus the *stellar* kids meal listed above... then this is the place for you. If not, keep driving. We'd been here one other time for breakfast sandwiches that were slightly disappointing (also stale bread, overcooked egg) but we thought, all these Yelpers can't be wrong... we'll give them another shot. This is a new cafe which opened up just recently between Walgreen's and Dunkin Donuts on High Street in Danvers. They have plenty of parking, and they are opened daily from 6 AM to 8 or 10 PM. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing. The owner and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is diverse and delicious. They have homemade bagels, muffins, coffee cakes, pastries, donuts among other things made by the owner's Dad. They have hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. They will also be making their own ice cream. They have flat screen TVs showing Food Channel, CNN and what have you. They have a kids' table and a TV with headphones for them. What more can I say? Just go and check it out for yourselves. I don't know why I keep going back. It must be the Breakfast Wrap because it isn't for the service. With the exception of two girls the staff is so rude- it's almost as if they are pissed we are taking up their time by giving them business. I went yesterday with my parents and daughter, and there were multiple instances where we were frustrated by the attitude we were given when they messed up our orders (4 different items were either missing or wrong) and forgot a drink. There were no apologies and no attempts to win back the customers, only more attitudes. I remember, at one point, the service was so wonderful and the food was always right, I don't know what they have changed, but it's not working. They need to change it back. read more

This place could be 5 stars easily...I want to give it 5 stars. I want to love it and go there all the time. But there are some major setbacks. First, their food is really delicious, especially their hummus wrap. Best I've ever had! BUT...here are the problems: 1. It takes FOREVER for your order to be prepared, even when the place isn't that busy. Seriously, I can't wait 20 minutes for a sandwich to be made. There is no reason it should take so long. Their kitchen is too small for the volume of customers so they really need to reconfigure the place. The wait time has prevented me from going there for lunch MANY times. If I knew they could slap together a sandwich in less time, I'd go there way more and take others there with me. 2. They ALWAYS forget part of my order. A sandwich is supposed to come with an apple/carrots and a pickle. A few times I've looked in my to-go bag and there was only the sandwich. They pretty much always forget the pickle which bums me out hardcore because I am an ardent lover of pickles. The last time I went back to the counter to remind them that I'm supposed to have a pickle, the cook gave me a super dirty look, said nothing, and basically threw the pickle at me. 3. Which leads me to my next point. A lot of the women who work there (and it seems to be all women in the kitchen and at the counter) have bad attitudes and are very unprofessional. While waiting for my order once I got to listen to one girl in the kitchen talking crap about all of the other people who work there to one of her friends who stopped by. So unprofessional, it made me want to get my money back and go somewhere else. So here's a tip for the owner: train your staff better. When you're not there, they aren't behaving. 4. The cost. Unless those veggies are organic and everything is very carefully sourced, it shouldn't cost so much to get a sandwich. ESPECIALLY when they forget my pickle and carrots. If you're going to charge so much, at least throw in a bag of chips. 5. Parking is terrible. Lot is small. Basically, they need to move to a different, bigger location. Again, I want to love this place. Their food is tasty and it's worth a visit. But there are plenty of other small businesses around with fairer prices and MUCH better customer service. read more

This kid-friendly cafe is quite busy at lunch time so I would suggest going at another time if possible. I like that they promote all natural/organic foods and give apples or carrots instead of potato chips with their sandwiches. But the prices are high. I got a simpe BLT with maybe ten baby carrots on the side for $6.99. The food was good... but not good enought to warrant the price. I won't be going back. read more

Since I live down the street, the boyfriend and I decided to wander down to this joint for a little lunch. It is a cute little place. Great colors and decor, although a bit small. We ordered a Greek salad and the Farmer's Market sandwich to split. The food took a bit of time to come out, but I suppose that is to be expected when you're not in a fast food chain. However, it was worth the wait. The sandwich was served on thick focaccia and had brie, hummus, taboule, tomato and lettuce in it. It was fantastic. The salad was tasty and came with a stuffed grape leaf. Both the sandwich and the salad came with a choice of sides (apple, carrot sticks, bread). To drink we split an organic iced tea from the refrigerator case. It was white tea pomegranate and very delightful as well. While we were waiting for our food we saw two delicious looking burgers coming out to the table next to ours. I plan on trying those ASAP. This place also had breakfast (which I need to try) and outdoor seating next to a little fountain. Besides the wait, I'd say this place is worth the trip for a quaint little lunch in downtown Danvers. Oh yeah, and the prices were reasonable too. read more

Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch. They focus on fresh and all natural ingredients. Great wraps and sandwiches, but no french fries here! You get a choice of baby carrots or an apple. (I usually go with "neither".) Try the Classic American breakfast wrap - bacon, egg, cheese, home fries and chives in a tortilla - it's one of my faves. The turkey reuben is also great. They used to have bacon and chive cream cheese for bagels (YES, bacon AND chive CREAM CHEESE), not sure if they still have it because I didn't see it on the menu last time i went, but good lord it is amazing! They also used to make great falafel here, but for some reason it never became a permanent fixture. They do not offer full table service - you order at the counter and then they will bring your order to your table. read more

Well clearly this place is a favorite for many. I was visiting Danvers from out of town and decided to come here for breakfast. Upon entry my olfactory sense was assaulted by the overwhelming stench of onion bagels. I could not even stay inside because of the unbearable smell. Maybe this doesn't bother people but between the maddening DIN and the smell I had to sit outside and leave the ordering to my mother. The bagels and muffins looked like they came from stop and shop. Actually no, they didn't even look that good. The cheese Danish with cinnamon topping was "eh", the yogurt parfait was nothing special either. The coffee however, was outstanding. Maybe I will go back and get breakfast like eggs or something.. But only if I can sit outside. Ugh. read more
