We've been eyeing the Peabody Diner for years and finally made the stop for breakfast today! We had such a great meal and agreed that it was one of our favorite breakfasts in the Danvers/Peabody area. Their space is very cute and inviting and their menu is pretty extensive. Had a great breakfast on Friday. The place was pretty busy when we got there, but we got a table. I had the 1/2 french toast with a side of sausage. Very good. I'm fussy about sausage and I got the patties. Really good flavor. My friend got waffles and she was pleased. Fantastic server, and I don't recall her name. Very nice. A small town diner, the basics, a good family spot! Driving through town and trying to find a spot for breakfast...good old Yelp! We had literally just driven past this spot and then my daughter found it with some good reviews...I turned around...I was hungry and wanted a good breakfast so this hit! My wife and I had the big breakfast. The service was quick, the food was excellent and generous. The facility is well appointed and clean. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. There is even some limited outdoor seating when weather allows. The pricing is also reasonable. I cannot say enough about this diner and highly recommend. The Peabody diner was one of the best tastiest and friendly diners I have been at in a really long time. My breakfast was fantastic! An omelette cooked with all sorts of grilled vegetables and great flavors. My husband had Greek omelette that was also fantastic. Even their bread was good. Excellent breakfast! We'd had an early morning flight and no food since lunch the day before. Peabody Diner was a lucky find! Easy parking and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was plentiful and delicious! I felt welcome, as though I were dining with family and wow, a very popular place! We were lucky to have arrived early, as it filled up while we dined. My first time here. I moved to a nearby town three years ago and pass by this place frequently and always say that I need to stop in. Well, today I did. The sign on the top of the entranceway says "there are no strangers here, only friends you haven't met yet". I can honestly say that walking into a restaurant of any kind as a single person is uncomfortable for me. I look for places with counters so I can sit and watch the kitchen and the staff do their thing. This was the best vantage point. I brought my book in with me, currently reading David Changs memoir, Eat a Peach, and I couldn't focus. It all started with the orange juicer. Unlike anything I've ever seen! A machine where you throw the oranges in whole and it sliced and squeezes them and the juices flow right into an awaiting cup of ice! Amazing! I ordered my usual which is pretty basic but it was delicious. Two eggs, bacon well, and toast. Got a side of fruit, fresh berries and bananas! I don't eat bananas but I couldn't resist. Everything was so fresh! In the interim another person came in, solo, and sat at the counter. He too was blown away by his everything omelette which he said indeed had everything in it! Lol All family running this place. You can feel the love! You can see that they all work so well together like a well oiled machine! Oh how I wish there were more places like this! Have given this place so many opportunities and I'm never anything but disappointed. Food is hit or miss- regular things like eggs and bacon are great but outside of that you never know. For example, the spinach and feta wrap sounds amazing but is always sopping wet as it seems they use frozen spinach and do not drain it. The home fries are good but often become like mush from overcooking and are very greasy. My biggest disappointment is with the staff, they don't listen or seem to care. My orders are always either wrong or missing something. An example: we ordered take out of a hot dog with ketchup and mustard and a bacon egg and cheese. Tell me why the ketchup and mustard was on the bacon egg and cheese... mistakes happen but it's every single time and there's literally no reason to come here when there are so many other breakfast places around read more

We visited the Peabody Diner for the first time on our trip to Boston. I have to say this is the best option for breakfast! All the food is extremely fresh and made to order, nothing is pre-made. The orange juice is freshly squeeze. The fruits were freshly cut with honey and they were the best I had in a long time. I ordered the salmon egg Benedict. It comes with potatoes but I decided not to have them. The omelette brings them too and it was more than enough for both of us. We also had the coconut French toast with Nutella WOW! It is to die for! I just want to travel again to Peabody to have them! The service was phenomenal. It is a family own diner so the service is really personal and excellent. there was no wait to be sit and she took our order really fast. Food was also fast too! We got to enjoy our breakfast with lots of snow and it was just perfect. We are from Miami but we will definitely will be visiting next time we are in the area. Small, packed, but service moves fairly quick considering. Plus includes a small parking lot. The 2 people who were our servers were extremely friendly and respectful. As far as food, my crab cake eggs benedict with home fries were good. First off, big eggs benedict, that was absolutely drowned in very good hollaindaise sauce. The homefries had amazing flavor, but i wish they were cooked a LITTLE bit more. eggs were poached perfectly. Where it went wrong was the crab cake. Mainly because it was imitation crab meat, and it was mooshy and not fried or cooked. i basically took them off and turned it into a traditonal benedict. i will tell you this tho, it was super filling otherwise. It was a long night. I had been by this place dozens of times, finally made a stop to check out. With the current pandemic, it was take-out only (or delivery with Ubereats or what not). Went in, ordered, and waited in my car as requested. The gentleman here was friendly. Picking up a meal for my wife and I, it was the Monte Cristo for me and I picked up the waffle breakfast sandwich (I stopped in on a whim and wanted to surprise her). Sandwiches came with home fries. The potatoes were well cooked, but I like home fries with a crust on them. Well seasoned otherwise. The Monte Cristo was delicious. My wife didn't enjoy the waffle sandwich, she said it tasted like there was gravy in it. I think there was, but I had the half she didn't eat. It too was delicious, and she's just a picky eater.
