Quick service, they open at 6 am. Comfy L shape counter or tables. Photo of my breakfast:: 1 egg scrambled with Swiss, wheat toast, home fries. $6.49. Huge portion! Highly recommend. My waitress- Suada was very kind!

Service: attentive, reasonably quick. Seems we could have called ahead & it would have been on time. Sat for maybe 10 minutes & already got my food. Ambiance: small but cute, enough room to sit & not bump shoulders. was told to sit anywhere we liked so it's deff just come in & sit anywhere till they come up to you. Food: everything is fresh, beware of the when they ask what juice you want. SPECIFY THET YOU WANT REGULAR O.J, not fresh squeezed, especially since it's the same size as my cup of apple juice & full of ice so yeah I can live with not payin 7.25 for it But yeah came up 30 for all this no tip

A small town diner, the basics, a good family spot! Driving through town and trying to find a spot for breakfast...good old Yelp! We had literally just driven past this spot and then my daughter found it with some good reviews...I turned around...I was hungry and wanted a good breakfast so this hit! Eggs, hash browns, a side pancake...all spot on. This is a good find, even better if you lived in the area. A good old fashion family place, good food, good service...highly recommend. KT

Excellent food and the BEST smoothie I have had in a long time. Everyone that works here is beyond friendly and helpful. A plus all around!

We stopped by for a quick lunch and enjoyed a BLT sandwich, crispy fresh fries, and French toast. It was such a great experience. The food portions are generous! Pictures below is the 1/2 portion of French toast! The outside appears very simple. The inside was clean and welcoming. Servers were super friendly and attentive!

Excellent breakfast! We'd had an early morning flight and no food since lunch the day before. Peabody Diner was a lucky find! Easy parking and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was plentiful and delicious! I felt welcome, as though I were dining with family and wow, a very popular place! We were lucky to have arrived early, as it filled up while we dined. Truly, the food was very good, and my daughter even made the comment: "The scrambled eggs are really good, reminds me of the way grandpa used to make them" Highly recommend this establishment!

Four words: Boston cream French toast!!! This was so rich and delicious! It put me in a food coma afterwards but I still wanted more. The service and the coffee were excellent as well. What a great way to start the day!

Two eggs over med with bacon well done whole wheat toast and fresh fruit!

Parking- didn't see a dedicated lot, looks like street parking only. We found a spot down the street, walkable distance. Looks like we made the right choice, because the place was poppin. Lots of folks coming in & out. We were lucky enough to snag a table for the group while some of the group stayed in line. I noted several groups of ladies with cute witchy style outfits very fitting for Salem, that could def be OOTD worthy on IG. Service- seemed fine. My friends ordered for me at the counter while I held down our table, so I can't speak to the ordering interaction. They were speaking names out very low for pick up at the counter, I remember that. Food- I got the North Shore sammy - which comes with maple bacon, over medium egg, chedder cheese, maple aoili on a croissant. The egg was runny just what I like, and it was yummy and bigger than I imagined. Very filling. I could have just split one with my friends, but everyone got there own. So I left more full than I wanted, because I didn't want to take away. Drink- I got a latte, that was fine, nothing to write home about. If visiting this charming town try it out. I saw mostly tourist, so don't think it's a locals hang out. But it's not a trap luckily, lol.

Not very tourist friendly because we're all trying to figure out where we're going and looking at GPS and not even noticing that in dark letters on the sign it says there's a parking in the back that you don't notice until you've already found parking on a side street. Just a bit frustrating but not much to be done about it. I got a hot chocolate and it was fine, just a standard diner-like hot chocolate. Then the burrito came and although it was supposed to have cheese and chorizo in it, all I tasted was beans and pico de gallo. Barely tasted the eggs. It was HUGE also and the beans are filling so I couldn't finish it but I was just disappointed in the lack of balance in the flavors. I will say the apple cinnamon waffles were fantastic. The crumble on the top was my favorite part. I would just get that next time. I tried my mom's eggs benedict and did not like the hollandaise so I'm glad I didn't get that, I think the waffles might be their specialty.

Restaurant Week, as per the Salem Chamber of Commerce's website, is summed up as: "Participating restaurants offered special two- and three-course prix-fixe menus, giving locals and visitors alike a chance to explore, support, and celebrate Salem's vibrant dining scene." For $45 I got cheddar jalapeño fritters, a poutine burger (hamburger with fries cheese and gravy on top, kale Caesar salad with freshly grated cheese, and fresh, piping hot apple cider donuts. The burger was hearty, the fritters popped, and the donuts hit the spot but by far the standout was the kale caesar salad with the creamy dressing over crispy and crunchy kale topped with the tangy grated cheese. A Downeast cider washed it all down and was refreshing. I went on a weekday so there were a few people sitting at the bar with me but overall the place wasn't packed. What I really appreciated was the general manager came to talk to me specifically about their Restaurant Week food selection and to get my feedback. She was super friendly and I told her about the kale caesar salad. Parking is on the street and can be hit or miss because The Babe is right on Washington Street where it starts to curve around the corner. It's worth it to keep circling though. The Babe has different events each night of the week, including Jazz Tuesdays and karaoke Fridays. I had a great time at The Babe and I appreciate how much they support the local Salem community. I am looking forward to going back!
