3.5 stars A nice and cozy breakfast spot situated right in the middle of the West Village. There were already quite a few people eating inside when I arrived at ~10am but I was still able to easily find a seat to enjoy my Bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The taste was good but I couldn't help but think that I could've gotten something very similar at the street cart right outside for a fraction of the price. They're also known for their crullers but I decided to forego those since I've heard that they're too sweet and greasy. Service was nice for the most part except for two ladies behind the counter who seemed very snooty and completely ignored me when I asked them where I should put my empty tray. Glad I finally got to try out this place but it's highly unlikely I'll be back. read more

I was on my way walking out b noticed no coffees inside the bag and asked staff where's the coffee--they pointed to the coffee counter. One would've expected a bit more friendly and default reminder to folks picking up takeout...in lieu of us having to ask. The avocado toast w two eggs (super eggs) really good. Dripped coffee a bit weak for me, and cinnamon cruller a bit too much sugar. Mixed bag but place is close by and accessible. read more

My second time here and the maple cruller is still my favorite part. The bacon, egg, and cheese is affordable and while I enjoyed it last time it was very salty this time. Love that there's a balance of options here though, we also enjoy the yogurt parfait bowls for a lighter option. read more

I picked up a maple crueller to-go from here recently. It was a bit too sweet for me, but I liked the flavor otherwise. The outside was crisp and the middle was almost custardy. The glaze was mostly on the top, rather than evenly coating the whole crueller. It seemed like a cute cafe to relax or work from. read more

Cool vibe, decent prices. Milanese sandwich was good, grilled cheese was disappointingly basic, just one of those menu items that punishes double or indecisive eaters. There are "no dogs" signs but that doesn't stop people from coming in with their dogs or front of the house staff petting the dogs and then not washing their hands. Yuck. read more

Their coffee was excellent, and the food was good too -- I had a seasonal cruller and it was full of fall flavors, with a crispy exterior and a warm, chewy center. Really well done. I got a sandwich, caramel chocolate chip cookie, and an iced latte. The sandwich and iced latte were very mid tbh and quite overpriced. Espresso is very very weak. Nothing horrible about the food, just not worth the money at all. The only redeeming thing was the cookie which was super yum and the only item I would come back for - I'm not even interested in trying any of the other food bc that's how mid it was. Service was okay but nothing phenomenal - if it was better I would consider coming back as the place does have nice seating. Overall, don't really recommend coming here because there's soooooo many better spots in the area for coffee and food - also would recommend cookies from other places in WV as well before coming here read more

I tried the seasonal passionfruit crueller and it was the first time I tried this place with high expectations, and I've got to say I was NOT impressed. The flavoring was fine but the texture was pretty similar to any donut shop. I tried the maple crueller and the flavoring/texture were better, but the Doughnut Project's maple crueller still reigns supreme, but it's now closed! A busy coffee shop with decent breakfast sandwiches - while the sandwiches were good, my husband and I both decided we prefer a traditional bagel sandwich over the rolls at Daily Provisions after trying both the bacon and sausage options. The coffee was fine, but nothing to write home about. We also tried the Pumpkin Crueller and the regular Crueller. The regular tasted like a churro and the pumpkin was good, but would have benefitted from the same cinnamon-sugar coating. When I asked if it could be served in a mug instead, I left the drink with them so they could switch it. Had my West Village moment. Stopped in with a few friends for an early dinner. Some menu items were gone by 6pm but plenty yet to choose from. I opted for avocado toast topped with salmon. Very satisfying, the bread was nice as well. Brussel sprouts to share, they were perfectly crisp on the outside with a drizzle of maple. Just like how my mom makes it. We enjoyed this, clearly as you can see, we could barely get a photo. The space inside is nice and allows for a few medium sized groups. Water is available on tap. The service was nice and attentive. There was a single person managing the front of house and bussing tables. She did a great job making sure we were cared for. I tried to tidy up to help out but she was on top of it. read more

Came here a few times to grab a coffee and work from my laptop. The last time I went, the staff was not welcoming or courteous. Ordered a beer and was given a hot glass with it and they said nothing. The staff seems very bored and no enthusiasm. As far as decor, it has a very cute ambience with chargers under the bar and by the window. It's a bit brighter than needed too. read more

You know what the best cafes have? the VIBE. If you know, you know. Sure cafes can have some good coffee, but if they're the IT cafe, then they have the VIBE, and Daily Provisions has the vibe DOWN. I don't know why but there was something so calming about walking in here. It looks kind of upscale with the dark blue decor and the coffee bar looking like an actual bar, but that just added to the vibe. Even though there were a handful of people sitting inside, it was still quiet enough to do work or catch up with a friend. I ended up ordering an iced mocha, a sausage egg and cheese, and a maple cruller. Honestly the coffee wasn't my favorite I've had -- it tasted bitter to the point of sour to me. As a disclaimer, I'm not a coffee expert, but yeah it wasn't the best for my tastes. The FOOD on the other hand? Absolutely made up for it. I was saving my sausage egg and cheese for later, but I took a bite just to see how it tasted fresh and OOOH it was good. The bread was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. They serve it inside a somewhat insulating bag, and I didn't realize until later that the egg had popped, so the yolk spilled out to the bottom of the bag but no leakage!! The maple cruller was the staff's favorite, and I can tell why. It's definitely sweet and dense, but it's packed with so much maple flavor and is literally the perfect donut dessert. I'll also say that they forgot about my iced mocha, but the cashier was nice enough to come over to me and ask if I was still waiting on something from my order. Stopped by Daily Provisions to try the cruller of the month! It was a passionfruit coconut flavor that was absolutely delicious! You can taste the passionfruit flavor which means they used real passionfruit and the coconut is a good add for texture. I'm heading back again today because I really enjoyed it. The Cruller is around $6 or so. It's not large but the flavor delivers if you like a donut/pastry. Service moved quickly and they have inside seating if you want to enjoy other items on their menu (including beverages and food). read more

On our last visit to NYC I was thrilled to find that they now have a location downtown on the West Side. The Daily Provisions West Village location is a packed neighborhood staple on the weekends. There's not enough waiting room space, especially with delivery persons and it can get chaotic as a lot of the food options take longer to prepare and people use it as a grab-and-go destination. The cafe/restaurant hybrid is a good setup for the range of options that Daily Provisions has to offer from its baked goods or fresh sandwiches as there is always something new I want to try that keeps me coming back. The drinks come out super fast from the bar area and my summer special, the strawberry matcha, came out within minutes. It is a deep color, definitely for matcha lovers as it doesn't have any milk to cut the flavor. Yet it wasn't the matcha part that didn't make this a stand-out drink, the strawberry swirls were clumped at the bottom and weren't as mixed in or abundant as I would've liked. Then I got a side of brussels sprouts. Maybe an unusual choice here but as soon as I saw them I knew that's what I wanted. It took a long time especially as multiple parties with sandwiches were coming out before mine. Someone asked me if I was waiting for anything and I said just a side of brussels and they went back to check on it. I really didn't mind but they came back and said because of the wait there was a double portion of brussels! This made me happy. They were well-seasoned and a little crispy. I felt like these two items didn't really encompass the restaurant and I didn't want it to fully make up my opinion of it. Not eating meat, I came back and opted for the chickpea and veggie sandwich and it was pretty good. It tasted homemade, fresh, and simple. While I have pretty positive takes of this restaurant I'm not sure if I've tried the five-star items. Coupled with the price point I can't really make this a "daily" routine for me read more

I've been here on multiple occasions because I just really like their food. When I'm in the mood to indulge I'll get the lumberjack. Iykyk.. but if you don't I'll tell ya anyway. It's a BEC Sammy on a maple cruller. Terribly good. Indulgent. And good for occasions. The love child is also good but for me it was too much cream cheese in the everything croissant. The patty melt is very good as well and their chai tea is tasty, highly recommend. I want to try the Goldilox next time, but it's hard when I clearly gravitate to the breakfast side of things. Nevertheless, one day I'll branch out again. Crullers are so good on their own too and I like checking out the latest flavors each month. It's a chill spot in the west village when not too crowded and the staff is always kind. I will be going back and I recommend WV location bc so far it's my favorite I've visited. read more
