    Saigon Sanga Lunch, Cold Brew
    Kevin W.

Excellent, excellent cold brew it can be such a hit-or-miss, but this place made a great cup. I grabbed their take on a banh mi and loved that it was light and refreshing. The outdoor seating option is nice, especially as it gets quite packed during the day from folks who work in the neighborhood, although I wish the chairs and tables were just a bit larger.

    This place is rockin'!

When my wife gets her hair done on Saturday morning, I make it my mission to find a good breakfast and a cuppa coffee. I found Merriweather Coffee + Kitchen to be my choice for a Saturday morning breakfast. Walking inside, I can best describe the space as a mullet. I place my order and step to the side as they prepare my sandwich and coffee. The barista? She's singing-humming! Who says New Yorkers aren't chill? What I noticed in the back? There are two kitchen guys that are a MACHINE! I can see they have a hustle on, they are cooking and prepping orders on another level. I ordered The Merriweather Morning Sandwich and two coffees. The morning sandwich is a bougie Bacon-Egg-Cheese on a roll. Made with an over Easy Egg, Sliced Tomato, Avocado Slices and topped with White Cheddar cheese. All of this goodness is held on a Toasted Brioche Roll. I'm asked, would you like to add crispy prosciutto? Um.. hell yes! I took my first bite and almost fainted. Holy Sheet! Man, that is a bougie ass BEC! I don't know what Housemade Harissa is but I want Harissa every day. Soooo good! The reason why Merriweather Coffee + Kitchen works for me is there is plenty of street parking. I can zip in Saturday morning, grab my food and zap out. I can't wait to return.

The hot chocolate isn't quite sweet enough for my taste. That said, if you get it with marshmallows, it does balance out a little better. Great service, as always!

Grabbed a quick coffee before work - really efficient and friendly service. I could tell this is a very popular neighborhood spot, as almost all of the tables were taken (~9am on a Friday morning). Interior was nice and bright with a beautiful turquoise coffee machine as the star of the show. Cold brew was solid and I appreciated that they used larger ice cubes so it didn't melt as fast. Pastries looked delicious too, though I didn't get one so cannot base my review off that.

Came upon this quaint, neighborhood coffee place while on a very cold morning we were trying desperately to find a decent coffee place that actually has seating and allowed indoor seating during COVID. Most other places have no seating and on a really cold day, a place like this is a nice respite. Ordered a cappuccino and the fig/ricotta/honey toast. Cappuccino was excellent and the ingredients on the toast were very fresh and tasty. Simple but very nice breakfast. Service was fast! I'll be adding this as a go-to coffee and breakfast place in the future.

1st time there. In the morning time till 12pm is very crowded. But In the afternoon after 3pm you can find a place to sit down easily. If you tell them you're in dining, you can get plates. It's all self services. Matcha latte and Croissant are okay. Bathroom is inside and very clean. They close at 5pm

First off- hot spot in this neighborhood. I felt lucky to score a pandemic outdoor seat since most were already taken. Second- holy shit- that banana, tahini, cinnamon, honey, mint combination is like a shot of fresh chakra balancing inspiration for the senses! Whoever decided to put all those things together needs a damn award. PS. Must like dogs- it's a very popular spot with the four legged types.

Hands-down the best matcha latte in this area! It always comes out a deep green and tastes strong. I love it with oat milk and lavender. I recently tried the Mediterranean salad. As is expected with other food in the area, it was slightly overpriced for its portion size. However, I loved the salad and it made for a filling lunch. It came with a seasoning topping that added zest and tang to the vegetables. I wish there was a bit more feta and there were barely any olives.

Been in search of a good replacement for Charley Street (refined sugar free Australian cafe) since it closed. This place looks quite similar. We ordered all the mushroom dishes: soup, farro mushroom bowl with miso sesame dressing and the mushroom/labneh toast. They were all good especially the bowl which had a great variety of veggies and the dressing was nicely balanced. We put the kimchi on the side as they were not sure if there is sugar added. The mushroom toast was ok wish they use wild mushroom not just cremini. The soup was lovely very creamy and had good umami. I like that they serve coffee/beverages in real cups for people dining in, better for the environment and great for the vibe! Wish they make all the food without refined sugar.

Stopped in, expected to keep going on my walk, but nope... coffee (mocha) was just too perfect not to stop and enjoy. Busy stop, but clean, friendly staff, and cute! If you're in the neighborhood, definitely swing through!

Delicious coffee - loved their cold brew. Stopped by today for a quick avocado toast as well, super generous with the avocado and delicious bread. This is right next to an Equinox location I visit over the weekends, I am a regular here atleast for their coffee :)

I was getting done with business nearby, and I was in need of coffee and a snack. I found this place using my Yelp app, so I made my way here. I walked in to this moderately sized coffee shop. It was fairly busy, but the line was not long. I ordered an inced latte, and went with a banana tahini toast. The latte was as expected, although the caffeine content was not as great as I'd like it to be. The toast was delicious, although a bit too sweet for my tastes. The staff here was friendly, as were the other patrons. The place had fans in side the place, as well as an A/C unit. I'm assuming their central A/C was not working, or they were in the middle of installing a new unit. They had one restroom, which was clean, just like the rest of the place. Next time, I'll stick with a black coffee, as it is less likely to be short on the caffeine content. And I'm forgoing any such toast henceforth.

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

Wrapped around the block but only took 10 minutes with three different people taking orders. Simply a walk up window so no seating but the streets of New York are prime to walk around and indulge on ice cream. Lots of time to view the menu in line since there are multiple taped to the windows. Cookies n' Panna - this was especially creamy, smooth, and flavorful. Good blend of Oreo cookies with a creamy chocolate overall profile. I'm not sure if I can give enough credit to this flavor but definitely try it. They offer panna on the top of all ice cream for a reason, their panna is delicious and they want to show it off (plus it's in the name like come on, can't be more obvious). Banana Moose Tracks - this had a nice banana flavor but unfortunately I think the cookies n' panna melting a bit on top overpowered the flavor. Hard to fully rate but I enjoyed the other flavor way more and would want to try another flavor instead of this.

Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us.
