This is my favorite little ice cream stand at the beach. I always try to come by for a swirl with rainbow sprinkles on a waffle cone when I visit family in Port Orange. My husband had fond memories of coming here for ice cream growing up here in Port Orange. I love that I don't have to sit there and think about and decide what flavor I want because it's chocolate, vanilla, or swirl. It's really good soft serve too. Make sure you bring cash, as it's cash only. The prices are really cheap for the amount of ice cream they give you. The chilli dogs are good too. Opening in 1951 & never changing a thing is what's made this place so great! 1951-2017 there has only been 2 owners & they both obviously felt keeping it simple was the way to being successful. Locals know of this place & often keep it a secret but it's location also helps keep most tourists away when everything else around seems to get beaten down! Chili Dogs are where it's at but they have all types ice cream delights & Corn Dogs too!! There's nothing fancy but there's also no need. Very small parking on the lot itself but street side parking out front is your best option for getting in/out! That truly is the only downside which coincides with the odd location at the bottom of the bridge on an underpass but being different is making a difference so I'm not really complaining! It's gr8 for beach days on your bike but that's coming from a local who is in fact a beach baby & grew up taking advantage of this place after long hot beach days! This place, as you can tell by the name, is mainly a soft serve dairy bar, but they also have great icees and coney dogs. I liked that the hot dogs were a quality beef hot dog. You have the option to get mustards and onions (Umm, YES please!). The main difference between Cincinnati coney dogs and these were the liquid cheese they use as opposed to shredded cheese. We've been going here for years and we will keep coming back!! Dairy Bar has the best ice cream in the Ponce/Daytona area. They have plenty to choose from on the menu and the flurries are the best.
