Dairy Creme is a Grand Haven boardwalk institution. I've been going here with my parents since at least 2004, maybe earlier, and now I go with friends when I'm in the area. They have a large menu but I'll tell you what to order: the turtle sundae. Caramelly, chocolate-y, and delicious. About $4 for a small which is rather large, too. It's located on the boardwalk in Chinook Pier, I believe, but on the side facing the lake (not the side facing the road). Check it out for some tasty treats! They have food like hot dogs, etc. as well.

    Turtle Sundae. A must!

How is this not a 5 star location? HAVE YOU HAD THEIR TURTLE SUNDAE? Apparently not. Folks, get there and get there now. It is so tasty. There is an abundance of warm caramel and hot fudge, the pecans are crunch and sweet, and the whipped cream is the perfect topping. This place is a must have when you're in Grand Haven. A perfect treat to grab while you watch the musical fountain!

Still delicious and still good service…read more This past week, I went with the two eggs, which comes with diced redskin potatoes and choice of bread - I had the biscuit this time. The potatoes are so yum. This time instead of adding on the blueberry almond oatmeal, I went with the Oatcakes (pancakes made from oatmeal) which had blueberries inside. Split two cakes with my wife - enjoyed them and the cinnamon butter on top is delicious. She liked the Heartland and the kids went with French Toast plus turkey sausage.

We even ate before we went so we wouldn't get hangry, but even from the wait of being seated to the time the kitchen finally makes your plate of food, my children were almost in tears because their tummies hurt. My daughter literally only ordered yogurt and fruit. She was the LAST one served. Please train servers to get children's food out quick (for everyone's sanity). When asked how our meal was, I finally did mention that this will be our last time patronizing this establishment. Clearly they are too busy to craft a joyful and memorable experience. It's better if we find a new spot. My previous review still stands. Go if you want a good breakfast, but be prepared to wait awhile and pay a premium for it.

Anna's is such a cute restaurant, clean and retro. The food is so good! I started with a con miel coffee and hubby went with basic black. He had the chicken tinga tostadas with chicken, black beans, avocado, eggs, cilantro and cheese with chipotle adobo sauce on top of crispy tostadas. Of course, I snagged a taste and it was flavorful and delicious. I may have gotten fancy with my coffee, but my breakfast was a standard veggie omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions (nixed the peppers) with sourdough bread on the side. Hubby and I shared the billion dollar bacon which was unfreakin' unbelievable. Espresso rubbed thick bacon with maple syrup for dipping. It's an ood thing there were only two pieces because I would've eaten more than one piece. Anna's House seems to be primarily located in towns in Michigan so if you're traveling through the area, check them out. Definitely worth a stop.

The restaurant was packed as this was the First day of The Grand Haven Coast Guard week. They have a fairly large menu selection & the prices are pretty reasonable. Unfortunately the items we ordered were not that good. I ordered a corned beef hash that looked like a flattened pancake. The flavor was sort of lacking. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict w/hollandaise sauce. The sauce was severely lacking. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items because they had a fairly large menu. Our server was awesome. She was a grandmotherly type. I was teasing her & asking her if her mother knew she was working there. If we ever go back to Grand Haven & return the Russ Restaurant I'm sure we would try something else. Nice family restaurant w/an awesome server

What a little gem! Grand Haven's food scene is seriously top-notch, and this place is another one…read morewe're adding to the list. I loved that they had an outdoor ordering window, so you could order and then sit at a table outside and wait for your name to be called. No need to go inside and wait to be seated, which was perfect for a quick lunch. We got the pickle poppers and the Nashville Hottie, and oh my goodness. That Nashville Hottie will go down as one of our top Nashville hot sandwiches ever. It may not be a traditional Nashville hot, but the flavor is absolutely phenomenal. It's ginormous, messy, and loaded with sauces that complement each other so well. Your first bite gives you a little sweetness, and then that heat starts to kick in, followed by all the other flavors coming together. So, so good! There's also a pimento-cheese-style sauce that comes with it, and that just takes everything over the top. And the pickle poppers were an experience all on their own. They were hot, crunchy, and delicious. I was worried they might have too much cheese inside, but the ratio was actually perfect. And of course, the pickles themselves were fabulous. The service was great too. The girl working was super friendly, and even though the lunch line started getting HUGE, they moved everyone through quickly and got the food out fast. Highly recommend! If you're in Grand Haven, definitely give this place a try. Just be prepared for a crowd around lunchtime!
