Came by as I was in town for the weekend and all I can say is AMAZING!!! Got a BBQ Sandwich w/ sweet and spicy pickles, beer battered fries, pickle poppers, and (another sandwich I can't remember). It was all INCREDIBLE!!!! (Almost makes me want to move to Grand Haven alone...) Took about 45 minutes, but got to walk around the local shops and just had an amazing time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Some of the tastiest food ever enjoyed! The green goddess dressing on the salad is craveable - in fact I wish they sold it in a bottle so I could have it at home. The pickle poppers and sauce are perfection! The portions are quite generous. If seating is full inside they will close the inside and you order at a window from the sidewalk. There are tables to sit at outside along the street as well. Inside there is an open view into the kitchen where you can see the staff hustling to get the food out. I would drive 2 1/2 hours all over again to enjoy this restaurant!

Full BlackJack - best sandwich ever... prove me otherwise!

Easiest review ever. The Black Jack was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had the joy of eating. No clue about people, said maybe three words to them. Ordered online, picked up at window after got text/name called out. Indoor seating was closed off so no clue about the ambiance. Yes, go here. Order online like 10-15mins before you'll actually be there. Thank me later.

We came to Grand Haven for a wedding. Before the celebration we walked around downtown and decided to eat an early lunch at The Toasted Pickle. To start, there is a walk up window or you can go inside. There are outside sets if you want to go outside. We started inside and moved out. They are okay with it, but ask that you bring the tray back when you are finished. I ordered the Cuban, my son ordered the Bacon Jam Burger, my daughter had the hot dog and Mac and cheese, my wife ordered the BLT(fried green tomatoes and peppered candied bacon!). We also got beer battered fries to share. The staff were friendly, the food was awesome, the environment both in and outside was fun. Totally suggest going here!

We came here after a day at the beach. The inside dining area was full but they had the outside window open for ordering. There was a small line but it moved very quickly. We ordered The Italian Bomber, Half Sixie From Dixie, and Kids Mac and Cheese. And of course a large fry to share. They texted us when order was ready. It took about 30 minutes or so. We strolled into some shops along the street while we waited. Overall, our food was pretty good. My sandwich was huge and I forgot how much I used to love fried bologna. I think their fries are pretty amazing and probably the best thing we ate. They had a little bit of outdoor seating. We chose to sit out there but at that time of day, the sun was blazing right on top of us. I will say that halfway through our wait time, I noticed that there was seating available inside. We asked if we could eat our food inside once it was ready. The person at the window seemed confused and said she didn't know. And then they never told us if we could or not. The place seemed pretty popular! I think we will definitely come back, the next time we are at the beach. But I would love to sit inside next time! Very laid back atmosphere with good food!

We saw the memorial plaques, and heard people talk about this place. Well we ordered the pickle poppers. They were like pickle wedges in an egg roll wrap. Excellent!!!

As always the food from The Toasted Pickle is amazing. Hubby got the Sixie from Dixie and I got the Nashville Hottie and both were so good! We didn't have to wait a super long time and we even got a sunset dinner out on their patio. I do wish they had umbrellas for their tables outside during the day because the sun can be brutal. 10/10 would recommend!

For such a small spot, they were really cool! When I went, I just ordered to go from their sidewalk-facing window. I wasn't in a rush so the 45 minute wait didn't bother me. I got to walk around the surrounding shops until I was alerted that my food was ready. It was expensive, but very good. This is definitely a place I would go if I wanted to treat myself. With my sandwich and side order, it came to like $25. They did have really cute outdoor seating that I would like to use next time too! Despite the name, there are plenty of options for those that don't like pickles either! Their menu is well thought out. Anywhere on the main strip in Grand Haven is going to be a walking distance from your parking spot, so just be prepared for that. There is a lot of free public parking in the area, you might just have to drive around to find a spot.

We got there right when they opened and within minutes a lined formed and the inside was packed. It was delicious and is a staple for every grand haven trip!

Food was amazing with a good selection of sandwiches to choose from. Located in a great spot of downtown Grand Haven. Casual spot to go grab a quick lunch.

    Best burger ever!

Hands down the best burger I've had in my life! Do yourself a favor and get the bacon jam burger with toasted pickle side.

Situated in downtown Down Haven, is The Toasted Pickle. A very quaint yet busy sandwich shop that adds a pickle twist to most dishes. They have pickle poppers, pickle sauces or you can just order a giant pickle as a side. The inside is busy and pretty tight quarters. They have massive tables meaning they only have space for a few and there is pretty much space for a line to stand to the left of them, and that's it. We decided to check them out because they had pretty good reviews here on Yelp. I ordered the chopped salad (sub blue cheese for cheddar) in a half size, which was more food than I could eat for lunch. So, portions were hearty. The food all seemed fresh and delicious and I would definitely wander back in! I'm glad we tried this place! Service wasn't needed much other than taking our initial order but every interaction with the staff you could feel (or see from afar) their negativity. I could tell the lady up front was really not enjoying her job. She kinda grumped at us when we misunderstood and thought there was a pickup window for our order in the other side of the counter (you go to the cash register to pick up your food). I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say the lady up front was just having a bad day and not blame the restaurant as a whole on this, so I'm only taking away 1 star.

Great sandwiches with a casual vibe. It'd be nice if they came with fries or chips though.
