If you're ever in the Norwalk area I encourage you to try Dairy King, that's right not to be confused with Dairy Queen. This family owned business is amazing. It is a staple in the Norwalk community and has been servicing its residence for of 50 years. The food is consistent and the ice cream is a must have. Growing up in the Norwalk area this is not a secret and by now I have tried almost everything on the menu. On a hot day a ice cream cone or cup will satisfy your need and of you want something less messy you can go for a milkshake. One of my favorite things are the waffles fries as they are the same every time I've enjoyed them which Is crispy and fresh.

Dairy King is my go to place for hot dogs. They have the best selection of topping and the buns are always soft and fresh. When I got there my lunch never makes it back to my office because I just can't wait.

We used to come here when we were kids and now we bring the kids. The food is GREAT and the service is better, they treat everyone like family. Gyros and chicken sandwiches are our go-to. The kids LOVE the race car and claw games and of course the ice cream. AMAZING Sundaes and flurries, and even Spider-Man/Sponge-bob. Perfect place for bringing the kids to sit with a cone in summer.

This place is awesome! The customer service from everyone inside is off the charts. They always greet you with a smile and super friendly, efficient service. We've only been there for the ice cream/shakes but everytime we leave super satisfied. We'll be back again and again. Keep up the great service and awesome ice cream treats!

We first discovered Coals when they had locations in New York. After those closed, we happily started making the trip to Connecticut because nothing else compares. We've even celebrated special occasions here because the restaurant is spacious, welcoming, and has such a great atmosphere. The service is second to none. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the waitstaff is always friendly, attentive, and excellent. Coals is always worth the trip, and we can't recommend it enough!

My mom had insisted on going here on Mother's Day. Fortunately, their Connecticut location was open and we went. Bianca, I believe as a manager and was super accommodating with my mom's 100 questions haha. We started with one of the salads and the brussels sprouts. Both were great, but the brussels sprouts stood out to me. As for the pizza, we got the Margherita, Rustic, & Bayside. All of them were great, but the Bayside had to be my favorite. The pistachio pesto and goat cheese went very well together. The Rustic was a close runner up- mushrooms and truffle oil are always a match made in heaven. The Margherita was a classic but with the style of super thin, almost cracker-thin pizza I preferred the other two more. All in all, my family and I would definitely make it out to Norwalk again just for this place (& we live in Long Island). Thanks Bianca for making my Mom's day!

The chicken was the highlight, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and really well seasoned. You can tell it was freshly made. The cornbread was also really good, soft, warm, slightly sweet, and even better with the sorghum honey butter. The mac & cheese was great. it was rich, creamy, and felt homemade in the best way. I'm not usually a fan of cole slaw, and this one was a bit watery, I should have asked if I could swap it out. The desserts were a highlight too, the peach empanada was nice and warm, buttery, paired perfectly with the ice cream and icing, and the banana pudding was smooth, classic, and comforting with the nilla wafer crumble and fresh banana. Even my starter arugula lemon vinaigrette salad was delicious. Service was excellent and attentive, and the ambiance is definitely upscale and stylish. Overall, it's on the pricier side, but that feels expected for the quality and setting.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.
