I haven't had an old fashioned cheeseburger this good since I was a kid. Trust me, I've tried a lot a lot of places with good burgers, but this it top notch. Everything was perfect, from the way the meat and cheese were on top and the lettuce etc on the bottom. It even had the "diaper" that almost all hamburgers had back in the day. The onion rings were perfect with just the right balance of batter and onion. Don't stop if you're in a big hurry this isn't fast food. It's good food and worth the wait. This place is the best. Always stop here on my way from Dallas to Tyler. Right off I-20 and always packed and busy when I go. Huge menu with lots of variety. I'd suggest the burgers, because they are very delicious, but all their other items are great. From their Mexican menu to their breakfast, it's all good and really big portions. If you're ever just driving by I recommend. Also, get their sweet tea! read more

My mom and I were traveling through Canton and decided to stop by Dairy Palace for some burgers. While we did not eat inside, the drive-thru service was fast and friendly! We ordered two 1/3 burgers and shared curly fries. It was perfect and just right for what we were craving! The burgers and buns tasted homemade + the curly fries were fully cooked and crisp! The only "suggestion" I would have is to ask for extra ketchup or else you will be sharing three small packets! Other than that, this restaurant is awesome! Must give it a try! read more

I am a long time customer of Dairy Palace. The food is fresh and delicious. I am a huge fan of the chicken fried steak n egg breakfast. The biscuits are huge and fluffy. The burgers are great. The ice cream is Henry's a local Dallas creamery which is great. They have exotic meat for burgers. I have had the venison burger with plum sauce and enjoyed it. The onion rings are wonderful and a must order. The pancakes are plate size and quit good. Overall its a simple country restaurant with good food. At 12:30 pm the parking lot is packed and the drive thru stretches all the way around the building. Poof! A parking place magically appears just for me. We get inside, masks in place, and there are two lines, food and ice cream. Hmmm. Tough choice. We ordered burgers, fries, and onion rings. Of course I had to order an exotic, let's do bison this time, and add an over easy egg while your at it. One of my Yelp buddies says that's his favorite. The burger is 1/3 pound, but it sure looks bigger than that. It was delicious, and the onion rings were top notch. It is an old fashioned juicy burger, so get extra napkins! The menu is full of genres of food, such as burgers (bison is a choice ), fried catfish , Mexican dishes ,shakes,malts(Blue Bell is typically the shake base , but you know the deal with Blue Bell). I was amazed to see a catfish sandwich . Yum! I ordered the Bison Burger, curly fries , a banana nut fudge shake , and my friend ordered a cheeseburger and a strawberry shake . We were super excited to try this place but it didn't live up to the hype. First of all, we ordered a breakfast burger with bacon thinking because they are "world famous burgers" it'd actually be a burger but it was just bacon, egg and cheese. Also, the proportion of bread to ingredients was way off and the cheese wasn't melted- it was just a cold Kraft single. The fries were limp and underdone. The shake was too thick to sip so we asked for a spoon and the server just stared at us as if we were aliens and then repeated "spoon?" And we said yes, spoon. What's not understandable is having to wait 45 minutes for food for 4 people while watching tables of 6+ get their food who've ordered 10 minutes after us. Stopped here on my way from Garland back home to south Louisiana. I was intrigued by their specialty burgers, so I ordered an elk burger and a wild hog burger to go. Once I got back on the road I opened the bag but was unable to differentiate between the two because they weren't labeled. But, it didn't really matter anyway because they tasted almost exactly alike. In fact, there was nothing to distinguish either one from a regular old hamburger. I've eaten both elk and wild hog before, and both have a distinct flavor, but none of that was evident with these two burgers. On top of that, the lettuce on the burgers was brown and looked pretty ragged. I hadn't eaten all day and even so, I only thought the burgers were OK. I also bought a BLT (added egg & cheese) and I will say that my wife really liked it. The place was packed with no room to park and there was a line through the drive thru. We had the regular beef burgers and were able to customize them to our choosing. I then go back for them to remake my burger which they did but it was even worse the food was cold and not fresh! This is ridiculous seems like a bunch of kids working and not listening!!
