I accidentally misplaced this calorie laden superstore in my file cabinet of a brain. I know, how could I forget that there is a DQ close by me? I can't say. I was at the Auto Club stealing free maps when my BFF (fr DH) started talking about ice cream. Oh man, did that sound good! But we couldn't decide where to go. Now my ice cream locator was beeping but I just couldn't put a place to a taste... and then, wham-o, I remembered DQ. It was like coming home. The parking lot was crazy, the inside was clean and sparkly, and the ice cream serving goddesses were perky and waiting to send us into brain freeze. Of course I had a coupon, you had to ask? Now my friend decided that she would have the soft serve parfait with a mixed candy swirl and then she promptly went into a sugar coma. Which was funny except she was driving so when she defrosted and the anti-venom kicked in, we were back on the street to cause more trouble around town. DQ used to be one of my favorite stops along the highway when they served food. I miss the Texas toast and chicken strips with gravy and fries. I used to come to this Dairy Queen every Friday when I was a senior in high school and drag my brothers to come with me. They came mainly because I was their ride. I used to get so much allowance money from both my parents and grandparents that I was able to buy my bros their own Blizzards. That also leads me to say that my favorite item in this, and any, Dairy Queen is the Chocolate Extreme Blizzard (I think that's what it was called). It's essentially chocolate chunks, brownies, fudge and syrup in chocolate ice cream and blended thick. I still order it when I do find myself at a DQ (which isn't as often as it used to be). Little known fact: The strip mall this DQ is located is called the Cerritos Triangle. Just look across the parking lot and you'll see a white sign identifying the place as such. As I would leave this DQ, I notice they always have posters up for their normal food items. I always wondered how "real" food at Dairy Queen tastes (like burgers or hot dogs). For some reason, getting food other than ice cream at Dairy Queen never really crossed my mind. I suppose I will eventually update this review after tasting non-dairy foods there. read more

I like Dairy Queen and their DQ Blizzard. If you haven't had a chance to try a Blizzard, please do -- it's so good! I would never order their GrillBurgers or chicken items here. With so many places selling burgers, why go to a Dairy Queen for that? The reason I gave it 3 stores is that this place is not that clean and the employees here just do not know how to give customer service. Every time I come here, the floors are sticky and the tables need to be clean. I mean, come on, how hard can it be to keep this place clean? It's not that big of an area. In regards to the customer service, it just sucks. It feels like I am interrupting them or something when I go up to the counter. I know that they are paid minimum wage but at least act like you care about what you do. read more

Website claims the close at 10. I got there at 9:06 and they told me they will not serve me. Claimed that they close at 9 when the hours posted on the window state 10. They turned away at least five other groups of people. They lost money and customers by deciding the close early. read more

Dairy Queen never disappoints! I used to work at a Dairy Queen in college so I used to eat it A LOT, but haven't been in years. Today was such a nice treat! The hot dogs here are pretty darn good!! granted they're about $2 regular priced but here's the scoop [pun intended, well not really this is a soft serve place]: The frank was an ALL BEEF crunch in your mouth hot dog that actually was juicy and hot. So there's the clincher, the $5 chili dog lunch IS WORTH IT. The bun was substandard... I mean... like it was a little stale... but seriously this beats the Weirderschnitzel [intentional typo] oddity of hot dogs. I like how they ONLY serve ALL BEEF. read more

Really small but friendly Dairy Queen! It's clean inside and out! They have friendly staff and work quickly to get your ice cream and hot dogs to you! (This is not a Brazier Foods location so only food they have is hot dogs, chili dogs and a BBQ pork sandwich, no fries!! Only chips!!) Went here on a Sunday evening around 6:45 in January. Note : not busy at all I couldn't blame people its not summer and people don't really eat ice cream this season. Came here after eating kbbq so I was looking for a sweet fix with my coworker. The place was clean, empty besides us. Opened the doors no one there to greet us. They came out after hearing the door open. We Ordered 2 small dipped ice cream cones and as soon as we paid we got our ice cream! Very prompt! The only complaint I had was the cashier girl, she seemed bored out of her mind! No smile No expression. Maybe I'm a customer service stickler but for me it's really IMPORTANT in bringing customers back. Anyways i believe she was dreading every minute of being there. After ordering we sat back down and the workers both disappeared in the back room. Didn't see them again until we left/ another customer walked in. And again No leaving responce. But I would come back! No problem with the ice cream nothing to complain too much about! Maybe give her a raise or something to make her want to be there lol.. only docking 1 star. We usually have one of the best banana splits ever. Today there was hardly any syrup toppings except for carmel at the bottom, not much banana and whole peanuts with the brown peanut skin on them. Bad combo as skin gets stuck in your throat. If you dont see a peanut in ice cream you might choke on it. So disappointed! read more

If it's a hot day and you're looking for ice cream, then Dairy Queen has what you want... a cold treat. Just do one thing for me... don't look at the calorie count. You'll only startle yourself. After ordering the medium sized shake, I decided to go over to the chart that they have on the wall to see how many calories it packs. The answer threw me.... 780 calories!!! What???!!!! OK, the shake was awesome, but I need to watch my calories more. So, if you have an active day ahead of you, then you won't fret about the calories in DQ's treats. I just went to Dairy Queen 10 min ago, and I had a free birthday reward for a blizzard and The instructions on the app said to have the cashier type In the pin code and NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. There was only one employee there she had green eyes and dark brown hair. It was very awkward ordering because she was very quite and I couldn't understand her. She told me I can't get a free blizzard because I had to purchase another item, but I told her last year I got a free blizzard without any purchase. She said she will try and so I showed her the digit code and she pushed one button on her screen and said "yeah it doesn't work" I didn't bring a lot of cash with me to purchase an items and I told her and she stared at me and I just said never mind and left. :/ Not cool read more

Had the worst experience here ! Not sure why I return tbh . Maybe hoping for a different experience, but once again disappointed. I ordered and paid for cake a week in advance . Go in to get my order today and my cake was incorrect !!!! Almost half the size I originally ordered. Idk about you but that's completely unacceptable. The cashier and manger were no help . Poor customer service, been coming here for around 15 years because it's the only Dairy Queen nearby but honestly it's not worth the hassle anymore. Rude employees and store is constantly closing early at random times and refusing service to people who waited in line since 20 minutes before closing. Can't wait for it to be shut down. This Dairy Queen NEVER has ice cream sandwiches made. I have tried 4 separate times over the past several weeks and the answer is either, we dont have time, they do not sell or we can make them for you if you wait an hour??? This is ridiculous, never going back. I will drive the extra few miles to go to the one on Walker in Cypress, they ALWAYS have them So round 2- the corporate office asked that I contact them direct, well guess what- no response!!! It's 6pm and I called to order a cake for tomorrow to pick up at 7pm. The girl told me I needed 24 hours and I said it is 24 hours notice. She went to ask someone and I heard in the background "I'm going to tell her no". So she did. I asked why since I'm calling with 24 hour notice. She replied that it depends if they're busy that they can make it. So I guess they don't want to be busy. I'm done with this place. First and foremost I LOVE Dairy Queen. I've been enjoying this heavenly treat since I was a child and it seems to hit a bit of nostalgia for my Dad. My first encounter with Dairy Queen had to be when they opened it up in the Los Cerritos Mall. My family tended to visit the mall every Sunday after church, having lunch in the food court and this was my most wanted dessert. Soft serve is such a simple treat but man they bring it to some whole other level. Secondly, since they closed down the one in the mall. This is the only Dairy Queen that I know of for a long while and sadly I wish their was another because this place is just a terrible establishment. I've never gotten good service here. When ever I order a Blizzard an ingredient is always out of stock. A lot of the time the employee's that work here have this sheer look of disdain for you for coming here. No personality no courtesy. Been here dozens of times since I live about two blocks away. Only had one issue when they messed up a complicated order. Gotten cakes, blizzards, etc. and it's consistently well done. Service is fast even if the line is long. Only problem is low parking capacity, which isn't their fault inherently, but be careful coming on weekend nights when the restaurant next door fills up the parking lot. read more

I went to Dairy Queen today and my mom and I were in line for 20 minutes all the way outside and when we finally ordered and were waiting for our order the employees were giving orders to the customers who came after us! After about the third order after us we complained and one employee gave us attitude saying he made the two medium caramel moolates when in fact we ordered three large ones and I then showed him the receipt. First of all, a customer is always right even if they're not so you shouldn't talk back and give an attitude about. Horrible service, ended up being there for 30 to 35 minutes so definitely not worth it. Oh and by the way, the moolates were very liquified since he made them super quickly with no care as well. read more
