It's been years since I've been to a Dairy Queen so I was surprised to see that some of their classic blizzards weren't shown on the menu. I was unaware it was "free cone day" went up to the front desk to let them know I was there for pick up I was told we had to wait in that same line that was out the door. Waited 50 MINUTES. classic DQ whipping up the ice creams on this lovely thanksgiving weekend! They were packed and still had the Sundays coming out very quickly! The lines were out the door and they sure were moving and even proivded us with travel cups aka lids as well. Service is fast, quick, ice cream at your fingertips with a fast turnaround time. I've had Dairy Queen at this place for 6 years. Let me tell you that while the ice cream is excellent, everything else about this specific place has been horrible. They are glad they're the only Dairy Queen around here, otherwise I would have taken my business somewhere else. This place has been severely understaffed since 2021. On the busiest hours, I wait an hour and a half to get my ice cream, and there are usually at least 15-25 people in line being attended to be 3 workers, one of them being the manager. On some days there is only 1 employee in the entire store. All of this despite having two cash registers, where they only use one. The employees look to be hard of hearing, from my experience. The same ones have been here for years, so this is not a one off thing. They have messed up my order at a rate of about 10% and I have to correct them on my receipt. The amount of ice cream I get varies too much to recommend someone else here. Sometimes it's over the top of the cup, which is great! Some days, it's missing a good half inch or inch from the top, as if they scooped some out. For that reason I time my visits to the shifts of the workers that give me more. Whenever you order a Dairy Queen cake, by default this establishment will give you a receipt without the reward barcode. This means you lose out on rewards on any big purchases here. I'm pissed on that. This place is unbelievably stinky after 5pm, consistently every day. I have a feeling people get nose blind after being there for so long. Overall, unless you are addicted to Dairy Queen like I am, please take yourself and your family to a better establishment. Prices here only get higher and higher, at a rate of 7 cents per month. I fear for the day I can't afford to eat this crap. read more
