BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free Birthday Month Frozen Treat for Rewards members (I think) While checking all my apps for birthday promos, I noticed I had enough points to redeem my choice of several frozen desserts at Dairy Queen. I didn't receive an email notifying me, and my last visit to Dairy Queen was 12 years ago. Hence, I assume the points were for the birthday promo. For what I would order, I decided a classic chocolate malt was what the day called for. Chocolate malt- It's all about that malt! The creamy thick concoction was pleasing to the senses. The cup was a small size, but perfect to satiate the sweet tooth w/o going overboard. This was my second shake of the day, after having a strawberry shake at Shake Shack, earlier. Hey, my birthday only comes around once a year. Laissez les bon temps rouler (Let the good times roll). Dilly bar- Free with code from the Customer Receipt survey. Service was good. I scanned the QR code on the app, and I had my magnificent chocolate malt in a few short minutes. Several indoor tables to dine at, Dairy Queen is located next to Kusina Filipina, across from Los Cerritos Center. Yummy in my tummy, the chocolate malt hit the spot! I'll have to avoid shakes & other sugary delights for awhile, as I need to tighten my physique up a little (or a lot). I noticed several customers indulging in dipped cones, and I think I've settled on what to get next, come August.

Their ice cream is always a nice, quick, and affordable treat! I recommend signing up for their rewards app as you can earn points and also avail of their deals. For this visit, we were able to get $1 dipped cones using the offer on the app. This gave me the chance to finally try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch dipped cone, which I thought was good and not overly sweet.

I came here to try the blizzard for the very first time and there was already a long line and by the time I got my blizzard it was half melted already bc it sat out for awhile because the workers were working on other orders. Was very disappointed for my first time, I should have gone to afters iced cream instead

Some after dinner blizzards - was pretty quick ordering and getting our desserts. No frills and tasty. Will be back!

I love Dairy Queen. Their blizzards honestly never disappoint. This location also doesn't skimp out on the toppings. Their service can be a little slow sometimes, but that's because it's always busy. Can't blame them that their blizzards are so good. Just tried the new Oreo snowdrift which was pretty good, but the Royal New York Cheesecake will forever be my favorite.

After eating Mexican food across The parking lot, we came in here for dessert. I saw the picture of the Sunday and I knew I just had to have one. Mine was chocolate with hot fudge and whipped cream. My boyfriend had vanilla with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Mine was definitely better. You can't beat hot fudge for a delicious treat, and this was it. The lady at the register was very nice.

First time at this location. Service was average from the workers. It's been years since I've been to a Dairy Queen so I was surprised to see that some of their classic blizzards weren't shown on the menu. I asked the cashier if they still made their strawberry banana blizzard, she said yes so I ordered that. I also ordered an orange julius. It wasn't busy inside since I came pretty early/probably before a dessert rush. Taste quality was pretty accurate from what I remember over the years.

This Dairy Queen is gross. The outside of the store needs a good pressure washing with soap. Dirt and grime all over the front of the store and the store entry. The floors and tabletops on the inside in the dining area are really dirty too. Overall, the place is just dirty. I've been to many different Dairy Queens all over the country and this one was by far the dirtiest! We opted to get some treats from the pre-made freezer section based on how dirty this place looked. If the dining area is that dirty, what is the food prep area like? Not going back!

We saw how large the scoops were on other customers' orders so we each decided on one scoop in a bowl. They have various cone options and waffle bowls if desired. There were quite a few young people working hard in the little enclosed kitchen. We ordered and picked up outside at the window. I was dying for an ice cream sandwich but theirs featured oreos as the cookie so I passed. Hubby got vanilla ice cream, his go to flavor, and i tried the blueberry cobbler. His scoop was a little larger than mine, so that was a bit annoying. He enjoyed his vanilla. The blueberry cobbler was divine; the vanilla was swirled with a good amount of blueberry that tasted fresh. The "cobbler" bits were pieces of sugar cookie, which were not bad but not much flavor, just sugary. There were crumbles as well as little cookie bits. We agreed they offer a quality product and a good sized serving for the price. I would return to try some of the other flavors!

It doesn't wow me, but it does in a pinch when the craving hits. The real standout to me when I start getting homesick for Taiwan is the ground pork over rice. The Tainan style is a little sweeter than what my Taipei family usually makes, but it's still warm, hearty, and comforting. The pork can be on the salty side sometimes, but I usually bring home leftovers and just mix a little bit more rice in. The spicy pork bone noodle soup is another favorite. Rich, creamy broth with good noodles, and comes with sides if you get the combo. I also find myself in here often just for the shaved snow. Fluffy, creamy, not too sweet. The perfect dessert to remind me of Taiwan. Service has been quite good every time I've visited, with buttons at the tables to call servers when you're ready to order or need something.

The ice cream itself was enjoyable, but a few things about the visit may be helpful for other Yelpers to know in advance. They don't offer samples of the available ice cream flavors, which was surprising since many other ice cream shops do. Also, the flavors listed on Yelp and social media did not seem to reflect what was currently available in-store, so I'd recommend checking directly with the café before visiting if you have a specific flavor in mind. We ordered a Level 1 matcha and a mango waffle cone. The flavor options for mixing also appear to depend on what they have already prepared and available that day. There were no pastries available during our visit either. Service was a bit underwhelming, but hopefully the café can improve communication around current flavors, samples, and daily offerings. I'll continue my search for that ideal matcha-ube ice cream combination, but this could still be worth a stop if you're flexible and simply craving matcha ice cream.
