Went last wknd with granddaughter... her blizzard was fine. We ordered hot fudge sundaes.... Don't know what's going on with the hot fudge because the last three times we went there, the sundaes had almost NO hot fudge - and the time before that we ordered hot fudge sundaes and they came with chocolate syrup. I couldn't get a tomato for a cheese burger! The idiot told me that it didn't come with tomatoes. So I'm eating a cheese burger without tomatoes! Our whole family gets DQ often, at home our place is pretty slow and usually the blizzards aren't mixed well/lacking in the mix ins themselves. We came in here with a big group, the service was amazing, so kind and patient. They made our orders incredibly fast and EVERYONE in our group said it was the best Blizzards they have ever had: mixed super well and chalk full of mix ins. After our whole group ordered someone even came out to make sure no one got missed and that everything came out well. We typically go to a different DQ when we visit the beach but we will now make this one our place to go! read more

Coming around the tip of Astoria into Young's Bay it's always grey and dismal, but I can never shake the hopeful excited feeling I had as a kid when taking this road to grandma's out in Olney. This Dairy Queen has always been an important landmark, and the view of the Young's Bay bridge from its front tables is almost as good as the view of the ocean from the Taco Bell in Pacifica, California. Ordered a smoothie they came out with more ice rocks then I've ever had an any smoothie ever. Returned it and said the smoothie wasn't very smooth and showed him a few of the quarter size ice chunks. My wife went in with 2 kids to order some burgers and blizzards. She was overcharged for the order, not given a receipt, there was a hair in one of the blizzards and the burgers ordered for the kids were ketchup and mayo only cheeseburgers, the burgers came out completely cold and were ketchup and bacon. We were told we were getting a credit for the store when she had called in. We went to use our credit and ordered, at the drive though they started making the same thing that was previously ordered instead of a credit, so I paid for our meals. Well here we are AGAIN with a messed up order and no receipt. Did not get 2 drinks we had with our combo orders and my wife's burger, ordered without tomato and onion, came out as no pickle and mayo. Worst dairy queen experience ever. Had to wait in the drive thru for at least 20 minutes. Checked the order...it was wrong. Had my daughter go inside to have it corrected. The young girls were more concerned with making some energy drinks for themselves than helping correct their mistakes. The young girls were rude...snippy and just not nice. Got home to find my crispy chicken burger smashed at the bottom of the bag and soggy. The food was gross...threw it out. The chicken strip basket was literally teeny tiny over cooked pieces of dry chicken. The fries were smashed into a glob of pale floppy sadness. The onion rings were...ok. Editable at least. They didn't get the other three stars because their high school employees aren't exactly the most welcoming or helpful. I've been there numerous times, and on every occasion it's as if I've interrupted their precious time by actually wanting to place an order. My aunt and I Went here to get some blizzards while on vacation. It was five minutes before they closed, but there were still a fair amount of people in there so we figured we would go in. Walked in, asked if they were still open (just to double check) and the kid at the register said yes. But then the lead supervisor on shift gives the kid a dirty look very rudely says to us, "No, we're closed. Forgive him (the kid who verified that yes, they were still open) he's special and needs help." So not only were we refused service, but all of the kids inside Dairy Queen (who were clearly their friends) were STILL being served while causing a ruckus (I.e. This is the WORST Dairy Queen Ive ever been to! The girls here are so rude! My friend and I were just treated extremely rudely at the First off they when we got to the window to pay the girl said that we could only pay for one order in the drive thru, which meant that one of us would have to go inside, or one of us would have to pay for the other. This wouldn't be a problem if there were a sign anywhere, but the girl was so snotty about the fact we didn't know this policy. We both ordered chicken items, and asked for ranch, she said it would cost a dollar for ranch. I've ordered chicken items before, and it's never been a problem, possibly with hamburger, but not chicken. When I told her this, she asked if I wanted to talk to her manager. This all seems relatively normal, but it was the way she was talking to us, snappy, and incredibly rude. There was another girl that came up and said she just didn't want to get fired, I don't want anyone to get fired ether, and I hate the saying the customer is always right, but in this situation at least the customer shouldn't be talked down to and snapped at. There was so much anger and animosity in her voice the whole time! I've NEVER been treated so rude for not doing anything wrong! Plus by the time we got our food the first girl was already fighting with me, and she was the one to fill our order, the sandwiches were dry and old tasting, and the fries were cold, old, and half way empty. The first girl had dark brown hair with heavy eye makeup, se acted like she was in charge of something and was in the middle of training someone., and the other girl was young and blond. I wish I could give them a 0 stars! I have never felt the need to leave any kind of review ever! But I'm signing up to make this! Every time I have come to this location the little teen age workers there are terrible! I walked in today and stood in line for 5 mins and the little blonde teenager running the counter talked and flirted with these 2 guys who were already done with their order! She didn't say anything to me when I walked in and she didn't say weather she would be with me in a minute or anything! So I stood there waiting! Then another teenage brunette walks up and says something to the blonde and walks away again I got no acknowledgment!! I was just about ready to leave when an older woman came out from the back and said I can help you here.. If not for her I would have left! She was pretty nice compared to everyone else! But then it got worse as I waited for my order the little brunette came with one without a lid when I had asked for everything to go but she kindly asked it I wanted a lid I said yes please and she took the spoon out in front of me and threw it in the trash! Rather than taking it into the back and doing it nicely then the lid was smashed on and ice cream leaked all around the cup on my drive home! This wasn't the first time I was given terrible service here but it was the last straw! PLUS this location is ALWAYS out of something!! Learn to keep a better stock! You should not run out of blizzard supplies or cheese curds! UGH! read more
