I don't usually write reviews for chain spots because, let's be honest, they're all kind of the same. But sometimes the universe drops a delightful little surprise in your lap, and it's your duty as a dessert-loving citizen to spread the word. So here I am. One night, while scrolling through the internet, I stumbled across a post claiming that Dairy Queen makes Cupcakes. Like, individual ice cream cakes. Excuse me? What? How was this not national news?! I did some digging, and sure enough--DQ's website confirmed it. "The personal version of our famous cake with fudge and crunch center, surrounded by vanilla and chocolate soft serve." I was instantly obsessed. Because here's the thing: I love DQ ice cream cake. But as a single person, a full-size cake is basically a lifestyle choice. A DQ Cupcake sounded like the perfect solution--just enough ice cream cake to make you happy, not enough to make you question your life choices. So I went on a mission. And let me tell you, I've been to plenty of DQs in my life--never once have I seen these mythical cupcakes in a freezer case. I finally called the Camp Hill location, expecting confusion and disappointment. But nope. The guy on the phone didn't even hesitate. "Cupcakes? Yep, we've got them. How many do you want?" I almost screamed. They exist. I was out the door in seconds, probably breaking minor traffic laws to get there before they disappeared. I walked in, trying to play it cool, and said, "Hi... cupcakes?" The employee grinned, like he'd been waiting his whole shift for this moment. "Of course. How many would you like?" A minute later, he reappeared with two glorious little ice cream cupcakes--one pink, one yellow. $7.18 later, I was practically skipping to my car. And friends, let me tell you... they were perfect. Fudge and crunch in the middle, chocolate and vanilla soft serve on the outside, cheerful icing and sprinkles on top--it was pure joy in a cup. We ate both in one sitting and felt no shame. Listen, folks: DQ Cupcakes are real. They exist in the actual world. You can go buy one today. And you should. Go get yourself a DQ Cupcake and thank me later. This place is awful. It seems this location changed ownership a couple of years ago, and this place has gone down hill since. Over my past few visits the food has been very inconsistent. You get Blizzards that are half full, runny, and the last time I was here none of the three blizzards purchased were mixed thoroughly. All three were barely mixed on the top and all were nothing but unmixed vanilla ice cream on the bottom. They were so bad that when the girl flipped them upside down, she looked afraid to do so, and only turned each upside down for a split second. The last two visits have also resulted in waiting for our entire order to be placed. Tonight, we got two of our three runny, half full blizards while we had to wait for the third one. Meanwhile the entire party (five people) got their equally as awful looking blizzards while we continued to wait for our last one. There are other way better run dairy queens in this area, so I will take my money elsewhere. read more

I went through their drive thru to try the new chicken bits. A 6 piece was 6.99 with tax. (Not the meal) The size of them was about the same has Chick-fil-A. Very poor value. The flavor was very mild to no flavor at all. The service was great. Even the staff said that it is a rip-off. I very highly did not recommend ordering them. This visit makes me not want to come here at all. Dairy Queen should get out of the fast food run. And stick with ice cream. Lol read more

I ordered a small ice cream for my dog and a "Hot Fudge" Sundae for me. I only wanted one ice cream for the dogs to share, but I got two of them. I'm not too ticked about that because I did tell the guy through the drive through I had two dogs so he got confused. I ordered a Hot Fudge Sunday hold the nuts and Cherry. You see I thought the Hot Fudge Sunday came with whipped cream. I got it and the "hot fudge" was cold. Not even room temperature cold, but refrigerator cold. No whipped cream though maybe a hot fudge sundae at DQ does not come with whipped cream. I went inside, looking like hell, and asked it the "hot fudge" was supposed to be "hot". The person behind the counter said "yes". She said she'd make me another one. So again, I got another that was refrigerator cold. There is nothing worse than refrigerator cold "hot" fudge. I just threw it and the extra ice cream cup for the dog away. The only thing right was the one cup of ice cream with a milk bone in it. $5.00 down the drain. read more

Hi me and my 2 friends were walking to Dairy Queen, me and my one friend bought sunflower seeds and monsters. Then when we got to Dairy Queen and when we sat down, my other friend got a ice cream and then we started talking and we ate. But wile we were talking I kept seeing one of the workers staring at us the whole time, then we got uncomfortable and left. I like there food but even we know because we're 13 that it's not nice to stare at people especially if there kids and your a grown up. read more

Newly rebuilt after a fire last summer this location has been turned into the new style DQ "Grill & Chill" You are able to order on top of your standard Ice Cream and Cakes, Fast food ranging from Hamburgers, French fries, Fish sandwiches, and other things. I ordered a bacon burger with lettuce and onions and it was pretty decent, nothing I would give up my love of Five Guys for or anything, but it's something to fill the stomach in preparation of a Blizzard. The person with me got the Fish Sandwich and said it was also ok, but nothing amazing. The servers are a little clueless when it comes to what goes on what so they constantly needed to refer to a "cheat sheet" when I asked them about their various food offerings. Apparently according to the manager here, all the DQs in the area will eventually be remodeled into these Chill&Grills. read more

I have been going to this Dairy Queen since my family moved here in 1972. My Little League Team was even sponsored by this Dairy Queen. In all those years I never had any problems, issues, or bad service until now. Went through the drive thru on our way home after dinner. We had coupons for two free sundaes. After pulling up we informed them we had coupons for the sundaes but asked if we could substitute two small cones instead. Young man told us "sure, no problem." Ordered on small chocolate cone with hardshell at which point he asked, "anything else?" We replied that we also needed one small regular chocolate cone. "So that's one small choc dipped and one small regular," he repeated. We confirmed and were told that it was going to be $2.67 which seemed odd as we had explained that we had the coupons for free sundaes. Pulled around, window opened and he again stated "$2.67 please." We reminded him that we had the coupons and handed them to him. "So you want sundaes?" he asked. "No, you indicated that we could substitute 2 small cones for the sundaes." To which he then informed us that he was not able to do that and handed us one small (VERY small) chocolate cone and again said "$2.67 please." This just went back and forth until we finally just got too frustrated and told him to forget and left. We decided to go back and speak with the manager. When we entered the store a nice young girl waited on us. We told her what had happened to which she replied, "I am so sorry, he likes to mess around like that sometimes." So apparently the guy who had waited on us the first time has a reputation for screwing around with customers. Very nice. Either way, we told her that we understood that they couldn't substitute small cones for the sundaes specified on the coupon so we'd just like to have one small chocolate dipped for which we would pay. She then suddenly disappeared and some big, unshaven guy walks out. I assumed he was the shift manager since he had on a different shirt. He was. After calmly recounting our first interaction he just sat that staring with a blank look on his face. In that time my girlfriend again repeated what she wanted and was willing to pay for the small cone. He said nothing at which point she asked for the owner's contact information to which he replied that he was not about to give out that information. Keeping in mind that this was nothing more than a discussion and that she had ordered and offered to pay 3 separate times for a small cone, he suddenly said, "If you are going to be hostile that I need to ask you to leave." That left us both completely confused; at that point we had no idea what he was talking about but chose to leave. A small chocolate, soft-serve ice cream was not worth any more of our time. More importantly it was obvious that this so-called "Manager" had no idea what customer service meant. At no point did he apologize for the behavior of his employee nor offer anything to help alleviate the issue. Honestly I don't he did anything but glare at us. Seriously dude, if you're that miserable, get a new job. One more thing, on our way out my girlfriend asked for the "Manager's" name to which he replied, "You don't need that." Very classy and professional. It goes without say that neither I, my girlfriend, nor any of my children will ever eat Dairy Queen ice cream ever again. Too bad especially considering I had been a faithful customer for over 40 years. read more

Me and my friends, who are all 13, went to this Dairy Queen with sodas and sunflower seeds that we bought from the convenient store next door, yet I still bought an ice cream. A worker stared at all of us the whole time we ate, he made it VERY obvious that he didn't like us. We were very uncomfortable and took our leave. read more

The bf and i went for a dessert with 10 mins until closing time and they still delivered us last-minute-ers with a smile and a beautiful banana split (with caramel instead of pineapple) and an oreo blizzard (made with chocolate icecream). I was very impressed with how nice they were and how perfect the banana split looked even though we were the very last people showing up minutes before lights out. The polite young man named Jake still took my order, I was very grateful since we purchased 5 blizzards. I asked and the other helpers were Jackie, Lauren and Kyle.
