Three-piece chicken tenders.
Stacey L.

We were staying at a hotel nearby and wanted a quick snack before heading off to a wedding later that evening. It was pretty much what you'd expect for a fast food stop. I got a three-piece chicken strip order (not on the menu, but the cashier told me about it after inquiring if there were any non-meal options for them). The quality of the chicken was actually surprisingly good. My boyfriend hadn't eaten yet that day so he opted for a burger basket; he had no complaints. You can order dessert with your meal and then go back up with your receipt to get it after you've finished your hot food. The restaurant seemed to be more updated than most DQs, but it was in need of a good wipe down. We were there mid-afternoon on a Saturday and almost every table and seat had crumbs or a spill. There were at least four people working while we there and only three parties total in the restaurant - the food runner could have easily wiped down tables in between runs.

Banana Split! Awesome. Great staff. DQ consistently has great desserts. Clean location.

Where's the rest of it pitiful

Look at the giant sundae you get with the $6 meal deal. Why do they have to rub it in your face and give you a substandard size portion. I have had same problem on large cones too small and have only 2 swirls instead of size shown on machine. This makes me go to Culvers any more so i get moneys worth.

Worst service of any Dairy Queen I've ever been to. Two employees in the store on a super-busy Sunday. Maybe pay your employees more?!?

Wow! What a beautiful, historical-type asthetic! For starters, the inside (three stores; two dining…read morefloors) is very large and has an impressive amount of outdoor seating, and accommodations for small live music. I can only speak for the Mother's Day brunch; we went with 6 adults and a child, and for such a large buffet it flowed seamlessly and the food was constantly being replaced to keep it fresh. Large variety of food. Table service was fast and consistent and all of the servers had a positive attitude. Reasonable price per person and all-you-can-eat. Only complaint is that there is no changing table in the small 2-stall restroom. It seems like a small thing but it makes for needing to either lay our small child on a floor mat or going out to the car. Street parking only, but definitely manageble. My parents and their friends really enjoy coming here. Really looking forward to stopping by for lunch or dinner with a drink at the bar next time we're seeing them!

The burrito had very little salsa on top and did not include any on the side (avocado charge was 6$ which manager then corrected). Margs were just okay, no offer for a flavor rim with the spicy marg. There was also a poor smell outside where we sat at the patio (from the nearby wastewater plant). The rice on the burrito also tasted more like the prepared rice at the grocery store rather than traditional Mexican rice). We also realized the soup cup charged one dollar more than listed.

They also have different specialty cocktails throughout the year. -Cheese curds...I know, it's Wisconsin, but these are right up there with the elite. Cons: -I'll let you know when I find some. We've been to Crafty Cow several times over the last year, probably four or five times, and we've always been impressed by how friendly the waitstaff and bar staff are. The owner is also very nice and clearly involved, which I think is cool. I almost always order the same thing: the chicken strip meal, which comes with three huge strips and a large side of fries. The chicken here is really interesting because it's marinated in pickle brine. You can definitely taste the brine, and it adds something you didn't even realize was missing. My wife used to order the same thing, but now she tries something different each time because she knows she can share my strips. Everything she has tried has been good. Also worth mentioning: they have really good ranch dressing. I was surprised when I looked up Crafty Cow on Yelp and saw that it had less than four stars. Looking at some of the older reviews, I'm guessing it may have had a bit of a rocky start. But based on our experiences, Crafty Cow has been consistently great, and we'll definitely keep coming back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Working with clients in Oconomowoc, I…read morerecently lunched at Crafty Cow Burgers & Fried Chicken; we had a terrific experience! The interior decor is very 'pub' like with expanses of dark wood and many art prints/framed works on the walls; there is a large bar in the front area with several tables/high-tops. In the back, the aesthetic is more 'industrial' with exposed brickwork and beams. We were greeted by the bartender (?) and seated immediately; our waitress brought us menus, reviewed the specials with us, and then brought our drinks. Crafty Cow specialises in 'craft' sodas and I enjoyed a very nice diet 'cola' drink with lemon; it was delicious. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the 'Nashville Hot' seasoning (because, hello, Nashville Hot) and it arrived piping hot with lots of shoe-string fries, also piping hot. The flavours were absolutely wonderful, full of contrast and balance. The 'heat' from the chicken was excellent; the chicken was plump and juicy, and had been perfectly breaded and fried. The slaw was also excellent: just the right balance of sweet and crunchy to offset the hot chicken. My clients and I enjoyed our visit to Crafty Cow Burgers & Fried Chicken and plan to return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The place is veteran owned and has a military flare to the decor. For our area, this is welcome and we have nothing like it. They also frequently have live music, and I do love me some live music. The service has been great both time I was there. I sat at the bar the first time and a table the second...just to make sure the service was great in both locations! Of course bar service is always faster because you are right in front of them, but I will say I did not have to wait at any point to sit, order, or pay. They were friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure everything tasted as good as it looked. When I go to places that run specials I am voted less likely to order off the menu and I have stuck with that philosophy with SteelTank. The first time I had a steak and shrimp pasta. It was so good I could not stop eating it. I ate nearly all of it and had zero regrets, but I was happy I had a few bites left to enjoy the next day. Second stop, Sausage & Pepperoni stuffed Bavarian pretzel. This pizza of the week is delicious! The pretzel is cut in half and stuffed and not hollowed out as most places do. You can see from the pictures it is stuffed and you can taste the pizza. Greens with a pizza you say? YES! So good, the vinaigrette dressing that is on that pretty little salad is making my mouth water as I type! Specials were not mentioned either time I went. The specials are posted on Facebook and that is how I knew about SteelTank and what I should order. That would be my only complaint, when you receive a menu patrons should be told what the specials are - or - post it somewhere so people know.

My flurry was huuuuge--just how I like it. The deluxe sundaes were extremely large, and absolutely picture perfect. We stopped in about 20 minutes to close and they were happy to serve us still. (Given, we were only looking for custard and not a full meal.) The service was fast and friendly. They did turn the lights off about 10 minutes after close. The place itself is super cute. First, the place is cash only...had to find an ATM nearby before we could even order. We couldn't order at the counter ourselves, and had to wait for a one of the car hop girls to take our order. It was busy, so we expected to wait a bit. Ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup, brat, 2 orders of fries, a vanilla shake and a chocolate shake. Food shows up after 15 minutes, and the bill is just over $28. They forgot the brat, the burger was only as thick as the slice of unmelted cheese on it, and was drenched in ketchup...slid apart as soon as I picked it up. Fries were okay, shakes were pretty good. All said and done, nothing to get excited about. We'll probably never be back. Overpriced, not great food. Save your money and go someplace else.
