I didn't dine-in here but we did go through their drive-thru. The staff here definitely lacks in customer service training. We came here on 3/3/26 around 8pm at night. The guy taking our order was literally trolling us the entire time we were trying to order. When we tried to order specific flavors, they were out of almost everything! And each time that he mentioned "they were out of Oreos, Reese's, etc" , you could hear him laughing and joking with his coworkers through the speaker! It's super obvious that they didn't care about their jobs. We eventually ordered something that they weren't "out of". Never been to a DQ that was 98% out of everything. I'm more disappointed in their service. It is what it is. 1 big star for their huge lack of professionalism. read more

Outstanding Service from Jake! We placed an online pickup order today for our family of six, and were blown away by the incredible service we received. When we arrived, Jake (not from State Farm!) greeted us with a warm, funny, and friendly attitude that instantly made us feel welcome. Our food had just been packed up and Jake reassured us that our timing was perfect--it was hot, fresh, and ready to go. We had ordered several different sauce flavors, and he took the time to confirm that everything was included. When he noticed the BBQ sauce was unavailable, he didn't just apologize--he made sure to pack some in to-go cups so we wouldn't miss out. That kind of attention to detail and care is rare. Jake's exceptional demeanor made this pickup experience truly memorable. We're visiting from California, and this was our last quick bite before heading to the airport. I don't eat DQ often, as there isn't one close by my house, so I decided to get some since I was out shopping. I wanted to try one of their burgers but wasn't sure which one to pick. Their menu isn't very descriptive as it doesn't tell you what each burger has on it. They all have different names but doesn't say if it includes a sauce, what type of cheese is on the burger, and etc. I knew I didn't want a plain cheeseburger and I'm not a big bacon fan so I decided to try the flamethrower. The guy asked if I wanted onion rings or fries. While it says on the menu that onion rings are more, I think when offering it to people they should say would you like to have it with fries, or substitute it for onion rings for an additional $1.39. I didn't mind paying extra for onion rings because I wanted them, but for others who may not want to pay extra they should mention that it costs more when they offer it. Nonetheless, the food came out hot. The guy at the window was really nice too. Onion rings were pretty good for a fast food place. The patty on the burger had a good flavor and it was nice and hot (could tell it was fresh and hadn't been sitting) however I did not like the sauce that came on the burger. I guess it was some kind of hot sauce that was on it. I know it was called the flamethrower but I just expected a spicy patty not that sauce. If it would've been listed on the menu I would've said sauce on the side or no sauce. I'd probably try another burger next time or just ask for no sauce. read more

While on vacation with my family in May 2020. We were looking for dessert during the Covid pandemic time. Most businesses were closed except for DQ. Service was great- no issues. Fresh and worth the wait. Jake was so nice, and helpful. This was my first time ever at DQ. My little nephew and I had a lunch date while on the WestBank. I ate my hamburger in about 3 minutes. This was my first time stopping at DQ since college which was 20 yrs ago. What brought me here was that I could get rotisserie chicken instead of fried and it is next door to my job. First of all they were ridiculously under staffed. The poor girl taking my order inside was also taking drive thru orders and many other things. She was very nice but obviously was expected to do way too much! There was also only one cook trying to take care of all the orders at lunch time. Needless to say the wait time was very long. It wasn't their fault though. The chicken was so juicy and tender. It was delicious. I got a side of onion rings for my husband. The serving was a bit small for the price. Horrible customer service! Waited in line and was given someone else order, had to wait for mine and then it was still wrong. They swear it was write but I have been to this location and get the same thing every time. The worst customer service of any fast food chain! Very dirty as well. Tables were sticky & bathroom was a mess. I waited inside for my order & everyone after me came & left. I saw my order sitting under the light & had to ask for it. I also asked for my ice cream to be served with my meal & I was finished eating & had to wait once again by the counter & take it to go. I give this DQ 3 stars because the icecream was okay. The flavors just aren't for me, but that's just a personal problem. However, the slushies would get a 2 star rating. As you can see in the picture, it is very watery. I expect a slushie to be at least a little thicker. Without the ice, all you can taste is the overly sweet syrup. The flavor is not even that good to want more of it. It tastes like a stale blue raspberry jolly rancher. One sip was enough to make my stomach hurt. The ice is essential to the balance of sweetness from the syrup. However, it is at night so hopefully this is not their standard. read more

Took my family for a late night ice cream trip. The lady in the drive through didn't have the best customer service or make us feel confident she fully understood mt simple order of 1 mini cookie dough blizzard, 1 small blondie blizzard, and 1 small fudge brownie blizzard. Once i got to the window we were pleased to know she did at least get the order correct. We were bummed to learn they were out of chocolate ice cream (both my wife and son wanted chocolate blizzards). After leaving and getting back to our hotel my wife started to eat her blizzard and found some mint pieces in her blizzard that must be next to the blondie toppings and ended up in her blizzard but no sense is going back now but still how do you miss green mint pieces being tossed in with blonde brownie bits? Our last trip to this dairy queen a few days ago was way better but we also went inside and had friendly service and chocolate blizzards. I hope they get chocolate back soon and stop mixing there toppings up. read more

We were sitting around the office trying to figure out where to eat lunch in the food desert of Algiers, when we decided to head out and try Diary Queen as a change of pace from our normal limited selections. The menu was like any other fast food restaurant with the exception of ice cream. I ordered from the $5 lunch boxes. Burger was just ok for a normal frozen hamburger patty. The staff was friendly and the seating area was clean. If you are in a pinch and just want something fast it will work. I might just have to add to the other limited options and the area and eat at this location again. read more

It's a DQ. A nostalgic, good place to go for old school ice cream (e.g. Dilly bars!!!!). This location is nice because it's easy to get to and the service is consistently good. Thank you for being in New Orleans - sometimes we just need a Blizzard or Dilly bar or Buster parfait!!! read more

The burgers are better than McDonalds. The unsweet tea was good. They cook their fries crispy and they bring your food to the table. Last visit was 10/22/14 at 5pm. The only issue we had was the amazingly obnoxious worker who was on her phone LOUDLY talking and laughing and running back and forth around the dining room, bumping into people. Even one of the other employees said she sounded like a hyena. By way of apology, the poor girl at the counter said, "Well, she's off duty at least". She had zero customer service skills or self awareness. A manager should have shut her down. I kind of dragged my feet in visiting this Dairy Queen. I think that it's been open for a few months and I was really looking forward to it. I have just been avoiding it, because I knew that having a Dairy Queen this close to my house would be big trouble. The one in Marrero was far enough away to not be a temptation. I can get to this one in 3 minutes. Uh oh. I finally stopped in (well, drove through) because I had a craving for a Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzard and I had a "buy one, get one" coupon for my birthday. The Strawberry Cheesequake is my ultimate favorite. I think it's the fresh strawberries and cheesecake chunks. You can't really go wrong with that. I went through the drive through and there was pretty much zero wait in the middle of the afternoon. I got my Blizzard in record time with no hassle at all. I should mention that I don't eat DQ food, only because I don't think you get your bang for your buck, but the blizzard was on point, as per usual. This dairy Queen fell down in quality over the past year. I don't mean in taste, but in customer service. It use to be fairly quick with the order,but now it takes 20 minutes for them to make 1 burger combo meal and they got it wrong. I don't want to blame the employees for this problem because everytime I have went it only looks like their is 1 or 2 people working back their, and their is often a more than a handful of people waiting to order. Just got a blizzard. It's watery. I understand sometimes machines fail or whatever BUT WOW. I haven't even made it home and literally 3/4 of it is liquid. I could have gotten a pint of ice cream at Wal Mart for $4. Gets 2 stars bc the flavor is great. But it's a one star dessert. read more

Never had an Orange Julius- but today was so hot and my son and hubby wanted some blizzards. So I ask the worker if the Julius has dairy in it as I am lactose intolerant. The reply is no dairy in that one, and I figured the employees knew what the ingredients were in the product they were selling. Here I am 6 hours later still in pain because Orange Julius's apparently ARE made with milk. Never going back- even if the fam wants blizzards. I'd rather spend my money at Baskin Robbins. I truly love the staff. I called them 10 minutes before they closed and told them my order and that I was on my way. Both Nicki and Semaj were very courteous they patiently waited on us to arrive (10:09). Without any attitude. They greeted us with smiles and the ice cream we were willing to drive 20 minutes for.
