SO FAST!! We fumbled around taking our order and the gal on the speaker wasn't annoyed at all! ALL THREE FREEZES and our sundae were ready as we pulled up to the window and our fries as soon as we paid! Everyone smiling and making our day. What a wonderful visit! We had a rotten morning and this experience truly lifted our whole family's spirits as we pulled away. WAY TO GO!!

Look at the pile of garbage in the back and the build of trash in the walk way.

Service was decent. Orders were correct. Only thing I thought was bad, this place is a pig sty. There was litter all over the dinning area as well as behind the counter. Some employees would be standing around long enough where I thought they could spend that time better cleaning. I saw 3 different employees literally jump over a big pile of garbage in back. Why wouldn't they take it to the dumpster?! Plus the cook was wearing gloves and touching everything, money, walls, his hair and kept on a cooking. Yuck. I've included a picture of the pile of garbage in the kitchen.

Worst dipped cone I have ever received in my life! It was so thin you could see the i team through it!

I come to DQ for the chocolate dip cones. Comes in three sizes. Can't really find dip cones very often. Easy parking. Good service.

Probably the best DQ I have been to. Always blending them blizzards down to the bottom unlike McDonalds.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

They have plenty of outdoor seating for your little pups, though the water dish they left out was unattended to. As far as food, they had a whole plant-based menu to meet my vegan needs. More important, they were able to make a gluten-free sandwich for my partner with celiac. They took precautions to minimize cross-contact with gluten items, including wrapping the sandwich up separately and bringing it out to us first before bringing out our gluten containing items. The three in our group had mixed reviews on the food quality. I enjoyed my reuben very much. My partner and his mom thought their food was okay, and their portions were too small for the price. As far as the actual store goes, they carry a lot of what your typical natural foods store or food co-op would carry, though the prices seem more along the lines of what a Whole Foods would charge. For example, $3.50 for a single avocado. Considering that they are a small business in a somewhat touristy town, I guess that is a sound business decision. All in all, a good experience, just expect to pay a little more if you are going to shop or eat there!

I'm from California, so I'm still not fully used to the way food is served everywhere you go in Oregon. I was thinking, 'Espresso, ice cream, and antiques? That's different.' Is the musky smell of antiques compatible with food service? Not sure how I feel about this, but I ordered a huckleberry soda, anyway. I was curious. It turned out to be one of the best flavored sodas I've ever had. I loved the huckleberry syrup. The antique selection was well-curated. Lots of interesting trinkets and jewelry. Everything you'd expect from an antique shop, plus a gentleman's room full of old Playboys tucked into the back. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of parking. There was no wait. This is a great alternative to stopping by one of the big busy farms if you're just looking for a quick drink, or (obviously) if you're into antiques.

The best deal - if you buy a vase, you are invited to fill it with fresh flowers you pick from the back garden. What? It's totally worth buying a vase just to get the gorgeous bouquet of dahlia, zinnia, cosmos, and more! The biggest surprise is that you can also get some delicious ice cream! It's perfect on a summer day as you are wandering the Hood River Fruit Loop or any season. The ice cream is soft serve, which is my fave. They have a shaded area next to the shop where you can sit and enjoy your treat. Check their website because in the off-season, they are typically open Fridays-Sundays only. It's a fun 6 as with most antique shops, you never know what treasure you'll find. And looking is just as much fun!
