We placed a mobile order and paid for it ahead of time. The order was supposed to be done at 7:12. My husband went to pick it up in the drive thru. He said that he was there to pick up an online order for "Jamie". They said to pull forward. He was greeted by a young man who handed him straws and 2 of our drinks. My husband asked for a drink carrier and the young man put them in a drink holder and someone came up with the pineapple tajin drink, added that to the drink holder then handed that to my husband and ask him to please pull into spot #2 and they would bring him the rest of the order. He waited in that spot for about 12 mins before someone came out to ask "What was your order?" My husband said "what do you mean, what is my order? Its an online order for Jamie." The young man said "OK, I will be right out with your food." A few mins later, he came out with food. My husband checked the bags and there was a deluxe double cheese single stack burger missing and also a fry. He told the young man what was missing. The young man goes back inside and brings out 1 fry. No burger. So my husband says "Im still missing the burger." So the young man, once again, goes back inside and comes out with a woman who comes to my husband's vehicle with a long receipt and is asking to see what food he has already received. So they went through the food and she first said "you dont even have fries in your order." My husband said "Yes, we do. Its right here on the receipt." She apologized and went back in for the missing burger and brought it out and he left. After my husband came home, we went through the food and his chicken basket was a disaster. They just threw the chicken strips in the bottom and tossed fries on top. It literally looked like it had been dropped. It was super sloppy. He was also missing his toast that was supposed to come with it. A fish sandwich was ordered as well customized with a piece of white american cheese and asked for them to remove the lettuce. No cheese, soggy lettuce. We paid extra for the cheese. We understand that things happen sometimes, but this restaurant in particular seems to always have some kind of issue. We haven't done an online order before. I figured we would try it since there had been problems in the past just ordering in the drive thru. I apologize for this rambling, but every time we have been to this location (maybe 6 times now) we have some type of issue. My husband was at DQ for 20+ mins before he got everything straightened out and could go home. read more

The Hood River Dairy Queen continues to reduce the size of their cones and they don't tell you leaving you shocked over how tiny they are and disappointed. Worst DQ I have ever been to and I've been to lots. My go to at any and all DQs is a small vanilla cone. It's the perfect size for me. Not here! The last two times the cone was so small I thought they gave me a kiddie cone or had a new size called teeny tiny. Nope! They just arbitrarily decided to reduce the cone by 50%. When I questioned the young woman who handed me the cone at the drive through she was very quick to school me. She informed me that all DQs are independently owned and this is the size this DQ has decided to serve. I started to explain that if I had known, I would have ordered a large but before I could get one word out, she said have a nice day and slammed the window. So rude! No other DQ is following this practice serving a four lick cone as a small. Hood River DQ is the worst! And I have to say, that the town of Hood River is my happy place and I love everything about it except for the DQ. Get your act together and treat customers with respect. Just left the drive thru with a blizzard, a shake, and a small cone. I love their ice cream, but today, the cone and blizzard were made of ice cream that hadn't set up yet. Weirdly, the cone was like whipped cream and the blizzard like a shake. I'm surprised they even let the cone leave the store that way. Quality control is sorely missing...1 star. read more

The food is great, always hot and well cooked. Although the two stars is for the rude customer service I've received the last few times I've been in. Twice I've come through and these young unmotivated teenagers working the window are rude and have 0 customer service skills. To top it off , they don't flip the blizzard upside down so I always ask if we get a free be and they're response is always different. "0h we don't do that anymore!" SO FAST!! We fumbled around taking our order and the gal on the speaker wasn't annoyed at all! ALL THREE FREEZES and our sundae were ready as we pulled up to the window and our fries as soon as we paid! Everyone smiling and making our day. What a wonderful visit! The blizzards are good but that's about it. Food is not tasty at all (hamburgers leave something to be desired) and the teens behind the counter are very rude and show their disgusted attitudes, like what a drag it is to actually have to wait on you and how dare you bother them. One girl got our order wrong and when we showed her it was she angrily threw the ice cream and other food in the thrash!! She then proceeded to make everything over again and was slamming things here and there like a child. Hope this problem gets resolved for the owners sake soon. read more

The staff was not helpful or friendly. The restaurant was really dirty. They laughed at a child who ran into their glass door instead of seeing if the child was alright. They were saying they were going to close the door on a bus even though they were still open for another hour and a half. They had more staff talking instead of actually working. Service was decent. Orders were correct. Only thing I thought was bad, this place is a pig sty. There was litter all over the dinning area as well as behind the counter. Some employees would be standing around long enough where I thought they could spend that time better cleaning. I saw 3 different employees literally jump over a big pile of garbage in back. Why wouldn't they take it to the dumpster?! Plus the cook was wearing gloves and touching everything, money, walls, his hair and kept on a cooking. Yuck. Went today to customer appreciation day. Everything was 1/2 price. It was pretty slammed but we got our food fast and the dining area was clean. The fry portion was a bit small on our chicken strip basket but our blizzards had a lot of yummy toppings. Overall a pretty good fast food experience:) read more

First the person taking our order rushed us through and put our order in incorrectly even though there were no other customers behind us. Then when we asked him about our order he got rude with us. Then the gal who brought us our food walked up slid our tray on our table and rushed away nothing said. Then we made the mistake of ordering blizzards and I think the kid just made it up as he went along. Over all it was a terrible experience and a waste of money. read more
