One of my favorite ice cream stops. I always go through the drive thru. They have a recorded voice to welcome you at the speaker and then it is an abrupt change to the real person voice. Long lines regularly but it moves pretty fast for made to order. Friendly staff at the window. And of course, the ice cream is great. In a world with so many other choices in this category, it's nice to get the old standard DQ ice cream again. Great place. read more

Listen, I don't expect amazing service at a Dairy Queen. *shrug* What I got at this DQ? Pretty amazing service! We went in to grab an icecream cake and some lunch. I am gluten free and dairy free, so my options are pretty limited at places like this. But, they had my fave--dairy free dilly bars--in stock. So we got a box of those (about $7, I think, for 6 bars). And I ordered a burger with no cheese and no bun. Now, the last 2-3 times I've tried to order a burger sans my allergens for carry out/delivery at a restaurant, they've come back wrong. I had to go without. It's a huge disappointment. I was waiting to see if something similar would happen here. Enter Maddie, the woman who took our order. First of all, Maddie was awesome. She was super friendly and was genuinely happy to do her job. If we had questions or requests, she happily helped. She offered things we hadn't thought of but would help us... like letting us know we could get our mini blizzard free if we filled out a survey. When I ordered my burger sans cheese and bun, Maddie paused after entering it in. She told us she was going to make sure they knew to pay attention and get the order correct. She went over to the kitchen and confirmed that it would be without the bun and cheese and told them to put it in a salad container. When I checked the order before leaving? It was correct. More than that, it was... organized?! They put the burger in one container. The condiments in individual containers. A generous number of pickles in another. And the extras on top of a bed of lettuce with a tomato on top. Like... it was, dare I say it... beautiful. So basically, I was super impressed. Maddie's amazing. I'd definitely come here again. PS -- there were clears signs to wear masks, hand sanitizer for guests by the door, a shield around the order area, and I watched two workers clean the area guests left. Him and the boy who handed us our order, definitely deserve a special recognition for being so warm and welcoming and just being so good at what they do. Perfect on a hot day. Even though the drive-thru line was pretty long, it was worth it. The staff are always nice and I've never had any issues with my order. I had the triple chocolate brownie a la mode. It was very delicious but extremely rich. Definitely big enough for 2 people to share. Today felt like an ice cream day but I usually gets misty slush, the lemon lime flavor is my favorite. read more

We had a $60 order tonight and absolutely everything was wrong. 2 dl cheesburgers w/ketchup,mustard,pickles and onion however it was sent nothing at all on it just a hamburger and bun NOTHING else.. the other had onions,pickles & tomatoes and AGAIN got hamburger and bun ONLY and to top off fries where too cold to eat... called for refund and was told it didn't constitute a refund... it's bad enough that it was expensive but when you can't even get what you ordered... Recently remolded this place is very up to date. It's clean inside and the parking lot is also pretty picked up. Each and every time I pass by the parking lot and drive thru are jammed packed, even during the winter months. My mission was to pick up a DQ cake and some blizzards. Walking in they have a large cooler section of premade DQ cakes. The premade cakes are cute and not just some basic primary color type of deal. These are awesome for a last minute pitch in idea or in my case when Kroger doesn't have the needed ingredients and you throw your hands up and drive across the street! Within minutes of walking in and approaching the cooler a friendly worker stopped me and asked how I was doing and if I needed any help. She showed me how the cakes were sorted (by occasion and flavor) and reminded me that they could personalize any cake at no charge within minutes. My to go blizzards were awesome! I got a strawberry cheesecake and the hubs got a cookie dough. Filled to the brim and not skimpy on toppings. After checking out one employee offered to carry out my cake since I had my hands full with the blizzards. Super nice gesture. read more

This is a great location! First time I drove up there was a pretty long line, but I really wanted a Blizzard and I wasn't in a rush. I get to the speaker and a friendly voice greets me with, "Welcome to the best DQ in town!" I order my brownie batter Blizzard and as I'm eating there are sooo many brownie bits. I've never had such a generous amount of toppings! I went back a second time to see if it was just a fluke and to my surprise it was not! This will be my new favorite location! read more

I went inside to order a small hot fudge sundae. There were at least 2 people behind me that ordered hot food that received it before me. After 15 minutes I asked the guy who helped with my order what happened to my order. He told me he thought they already took care of it so they bumped the order. I asked the guy for a refund and his tag said he was a shift lead however, he needed help with my refund. The next guy that helped him with my refund said he'd just make the sundae real quick, but I told him I just wanted my refund. I went there last Friday night and they were a little slow, but not that slow. They gave me a coupon for a free combo, but I don't think I will use that coupon now. I ordered an ice cream cake from this location. I wanted a three-dimensional unicorn cake. They have never made one before but took on the challenge and really knocked it out of the park! I ordered it on a Sunday for Tuesday pick up. Then I call back on Monday to see if I could get it Monday instead. It was no problem. The remodel Building looks amazing. This location is actually the best in the area. Service is better, employees friendlier. The line is always longer but they move quickly. There's not much to say about the food that you won't already know if you've been to any location. I do like to go during lunch because they have the 5 buck lunch. You get either chicken strips or snack wraps, fries, a sundae, and a drink. I love it. There's a lot of other cool things right in this block so I'm sure you could find something else interesting after you eat your ice cream. read more

Went to this location to get a couple blizzards. Arrived and saw several cars in the parking lot , so decided to go inside. Doors were locked. Still not open inside for some reason. Went to go through the drive thru. Couldn't do that either as there were cones blocking the drive thru. There were definitely workers inside as I could see them. One worker was dropped off while I was in the parking lot. Very disappointing that inside is still closed and drive thru was blocked. I guess they don't want business very bad. read more

One girl in particular stands out, she was leaving for the evening still in full uniform makes no eye contact with me and begins talking to others behind me. Makes them shakes never offers to get anyone to help me then walks out and rolls her eyes at me. All I can say is I apologize to all those who come in contact with your rude behaviors and customer service. If my 6 year old grand daughter were not with me I would of left. For the third time in a row, this Dairy Queen on Thompson Road got the Blizzard order incorrect--usually it is only one, but this time both Blizzards were wrong. While you can't go too terribly wrong with any Blizzard, it is disappointing when you take the first bite and it is not what you ordered...especially since I don't like nuts and both Blizzards had nuts. The dessert side of the menu is good and I don't have any problems with their quality. However, the customer service is slow and sometimes the wait staff can be rude. It is both slow when going through the drive thru and while going inside. However, when ordering inside, the service can be somewhat quicker. I'm concerned about the messy bathrooms and the dining room area should be cleaner. If you see a full parking lot or several cars in the drive thru line, go on by or be prepared to wait. read more

I enjoy this DQ because it is always delcious. I have forever gotten the frozen hot chocolate (or now the Mocha Moolatte minus the coffee). I am addicted to this chocolatey heaven! I had read that this location has a new owner, so I was excited to give it another try. Up until today, our last three trips here were all terrible. I am sad to say today saw no improvement. Long lines, slow service, and a complete mishandling of our order ensures we won't be going back. I can't wait 25 minutes for 3 five buck lunch combos with 3 small children and a baby in tow. After mixing and matching to FINALLY get our order together, someone came in from the back and tried to remove one of our sandwiches! Too bad - with so many kids, all in sports and other activities, there would have been so many chances to stop in and drop 30 or 40 bucks for food and ice cream - But we've tried enough, and won't be going back. We live less than a mile away and we used to use them for a nightime snack once in awhile but tonight as I took me and my son to free cone day that was overly advertised on radio and Tv ...we get there to find no cones left so I decided to buy my son a cone with the money we were going to donate to Riley and the woman, I think she was the owner, practially yelled at me that she had no more cones. I'm giving one star. Poor customer service. Short tempered wait staff. I have a receipt if the owner wants a name. The food is good. Tastes like the fry oil has been changed recently. I asked for ketchup and when she practically threw the sack at me and really rolled her eyes and pouted when I was too slow taking the sack from her hot little hand. In a desultory tone she suggested I have a good day. I very cheerfully insisted she have one too. I would like to point out that this young woman most likely does not have a gun held on her while she comes to work at this job. I'm sure it's a busy job, sometimes, not today, judging from the few cars I see here. Perhaps she should find a job that will make her happier, one that will make her whistle as she applies her lovely makeup, or, one that does not require being pleasant to customers. I don't want to rest 100% of the responsibility on this worker in a low paying service industry job. Her supervisor is heavily involved in training employees in the fine art of sales and customer service. Young people need mentors, even in a low paying service industry job, highlight "service." There are very very many many people who would give their eye teeth for this job that is occupied by Daughter of Soup Nazi. This is DQ, for goodness' sake. People come here for the happiest food on Earth: ice cream! No one held a gun on me while I decided to pull into the drive through at the Emerson Plaza DQ. Next time, I'll go to a happy DQ. I've never been inside I have only ordered ice cream in the drive thru. It has been 2 years of going and they have not messed up my order. The only issue is that when its busy during the summer if the line is long I won't order a banana split. The reason is they make it right away sometimes and its already starting to melt by the time I get it. And by the time I get home its already soup. I only line 2 miles down the street. read more
