We were trying to pay in cash and were told when we ordered it was $10.04. At the window they said it was $10.05 because they don't deal with pennies so it was rounded up. That should have been told to us when they originally told us the price. They then tried to hand me a caramel sundae when we actually ordered a medium caramel malt. The kid at the window looked at the screen and said the screen said the sundae. I said again that was not what I ordered. He closed the window & stood in front of it with his back to us but obviously he was saying something because the other 3 employees that were standing there were all looking at me. Someone else made the malt, he hastily haded it to me saying "and you have a wonderful & blessed day" slamming the window shut. Worse part is, we also watched them get the order wrong in the car in front of us. We go there at least once a week but have decided it isn't worth the headache and will not be back. We waited for about 30 minutes inside the indianola dairy queen didn't get noticed at all then we went up to the register stood there for 5 minutes no greetings at all. Horrible customer service. read more

The gal at the window didn't flip our blizzard upside down so we were excited to get our next blizzard free per all of propaganda plastered on the window and in Dairy Queen's commercials but we were told they don't do that! We've been to this DQ a few times this summer for a sweet treat. Whether it was the famous Blizzards or just a cone, we've had the perfect frozen treats. I haven't yet tried their food here. While the lines tend to be long, the service is on their toes and getting people through as quickly as possible. We'll be back! read more

After waiting 20 minutes for our ice cream we finally asked for our money back. Another person ahead of us did the same. So unfortunate. The last time I stopped here about a year ago the ice cream did not taste very good. read more

I absolutely love Dairy Queen, but going to this location for the first time ever was a big mistake!!!! We went through the drive through Sunday night and had a relatively big order. Once we got to the window, they handed me a blizzard (didn't flip it or anything). I told the girl that is not the blizzard I ordered and handed it back to the girl. She walked away and spoke to a different girl and then came back and shoved the blizzard out the window towards me. I told her again that that was not the correct blizzard to which she replied "I don't know what to tell you", and then she walked away. After that it was just one problem after another! They kept forgetting food and drinks! From the time we pulled up to the window and paid, till the time I finally pulled away from the window, it had been over 15 minutes!!!!! Once we got home, we discovered my blizzard was not the only thing wrong! Over half of our order was incorrect in some way! This place is a complete joke full of little teenage girls who seriously need to be retrained and definitely need to learn how to appropriately handle customers! This location is the closest to us, but I would rather driver over an hour out of my way than go to this location again! read more

My son and I traveled 45 minutes to enjoy some DQ. But enjoy we did not. There were 2 people behind the counter and 4 to 5 in the back. But not all were in uniform. So im not sure if they even worked there.We got to stand at the counter for 10 minutes or so while the workers either ignored us completely or offered us food and ice cream we didn't order. In fact at one point, one of them asked if a blizzard was my order. I said no we have yet to be helped and still need to order. His response was to holler over my shoulder for whomever the order belonged to. Then walks away leaving us to stand waiting again. After a minute or two more I turned to my son and said lets just leave. I'd like to add that there was an employee right behind us when i said lets just leave. Do you think she cared enough to say hey hold up. Ill get someoneto help you? The answer is no. And thats a shame too. Because we were actually excited to eat DQ.
