Mister Softee will swing by the block, but the truck goes by so fast that you can't slip on some sandals and flag them down unless you're a track star. So this is the closest thing to my residence. Plus with the weather starting to get warmer, lines are extending throughout the night at the drive-thru. I normally get an Orange Julius. Not so much a big fan of soft serve ice cream like my husband, but I enjoy getting a sweet treat of their Cupfection. Perfect duo of textures. Surprisingly, I low key like their burgers. It's not gourmet or appealing, but the flame grilled and nice char to the patties is what I like. Be mindful that they do cut some raw thick onions if that's not your thing. Don't order from here at all. I did an Uber Eats order for delivery, which I was looking forward to enjoying my Friday night with some ice cream and movie night. I ordered a brownie batter blizzard and added cookie dough pieces to it. Instead, I was given a completely different order with brownies, vanilla ice cream, and pecans in my blizzard. Is it that hard to read a delivery order? I couldn't even eat the blizzard because I am highly allergic to nuts and would've gotten an allergic reaction from it. I am highly disappointed in the service I received tonight with my order; they need to start adding a section when ordering for allergies so they can handle it properly with caution and standard food safety practices. This is not the place to eat if you have severe nut allergies, and because of this experience, I won't be ordering from Dairy Queen again. read more

I've ordered 4 times in total from this location 2 times in person 2 on grubhub. all 4 times order was made incorrectly. Came after soccer game with tons of people during their dinner rush. Line wrapped around the drive thru. Young people inside did an amazing job serving our very large party (we filled nearly the entire dining area). Checked to make sure all of orders were correct. Zero attitude about having so many people both inside and out. Food/treats were incredibly quick to arrive. Would absolutely recommend this location. read more

Consider this review a PSA to all of you who take your favorite spots for granted. Living in Newtown Square, I only had to travel about 5 minutes to get to my nearest Dairy Queen. And folks, this wasnt your average run of the mill Dairy Queens. This was a sit down indoor one, that served Braizer foods. If you arent lucky enough to know what this means, its basically a DQ that serves fast food...damn good fast food. Their burgers, were char-grilled and delicious (falling somewhere between Wendys and 5 Guys but closer to 5 Guys) they also carried THE (rhymes with tree) best onion rings that i have ever eaten. Combine that with the option of a Blizzard or sundae and you have heaven on earth. It was so close to where I lived, and I went often, but I also took it for granted. I realized this too late, when , a couple of years ago, the fam and I made a trek up there and were met with a sign that pulled down my pants and mocked me. The sign explained that this Dairy Queen , was family run for 50 years. The current owners were getting up there and none of the new generation wanted to take it over so they were closing their doors and moving to sunny F.L.A. It is now poised to become a bank. Ive been Braizer-free for about 2 years now. Fast forward to present day. Im now working in Newark DE, searching for great lunch spots. On my way to a Wendys standby, I look over and see a rather large DQ. It cant just be icecream....do I smell O-Rings? I did a little research and found that they do have the full Braizer menu...and then some. There it was...the Flame thrower Burger! I had given up hope of ever seeing it again. Its a Bacon cheese burger, with a spicy hot sauce and jack cheese and its divine. To my pleasure, the O-rings are an option with a combo, which includes a refillable drink. It comes to about $6 but to me, its priceless. Its amazing to me that the quality here, is the same as it was in Newtown Square. The O-rings dont sit under a lamp, they are made to order and they are crisp and tasty. The burger tastes like it comes from a grill, and is also fresh and juicy. Its made me realize what ive been missing with my local DQ closing. They have so many food options for an icecream place. Wraps, hot dogs, club sandwiches, chicken fingers, shrimp basket, fries salad and of course, burgers (chicken, pulled pork and beef) fries and the first class O-rings. I also saw many choices for kids meals which, as a dad, I appreciate. Thats aside from all the wonderful icecream that they carry, which I prolly wont even have a use for. Service has been great, restraunt is kept clean, front and back ( I looked while I was waiting for my food). It takes a little longer than the average fast food, but its well worth it. I was lucky, dear readers. I took my original place for granted and it was taken away from me. Ill not make the same mistake with this one..or any of my favorite spots. As proof, take this review. Im already waxing way too poetic over a glorified soft serve dive. What can I say, im a simpleton and im impressed when any establishment can pack as many calories in me as possible. I've been becoming increasingly disappointed with this DQ location. For several decades Dairy Queen made my favorite fast food burgers, that delicious authentic grilled flavor was the same no matter which DQ I went to. I recently went to satisfy my pregnancy craving for a big DQ burger and blizzard. The wait wasn't long, but my burger was missing a few ingredients, including the all-important pickle chips. The music being piped in was loud hip-hop music, which made me feel more like I was eating inside a Foot Locker at the mall. Not to mention the dozens, yes DOZENS, of flies that were all over the dining room. I had to drape a napkin over the straw on my drink to prevent them from helping themselves to my root beer. I was in such a disgusted hurry to leave that I finished my meal in record time and left without ordering the blizzard. I will give this place another chance or two, as I'm hoping the poorly made burger and flies were just a fluke. read more

So this WAS the better of the three fast food places in the area. Lately the customer service is LACKING, do you even check the food to make sure it's accurate before handing it to a customer? Numerous times you have people parked waiting for their orders & STILL WRONG. Hadn't been in months but decided to give it a go. Chicken tenders with BBQ sauce & a cone. As usual, no BBQ sauce & I wish I would've taken a picture of the cone before I just threw it out the window, thing was melted before dude even handed it out the drive thru window!Service is super slow these days too. Literally every time I come to this Dairy Queen the service is horrifically slow no matter if you're in the drive thru or go inside it's simply awful. Today I sat in the drive thru for 25 minutes when there were only 4 cars. I went there with my family to try Dairy Queen for the first time. As I was waiting for my order to come out I noticed that they were putting new orders on the trays they just collected from the dining area. I asked a girl behind the counter if she was planning to put my order on the tray my ticket was sitting on because it was filthy. She just took my ticket and switched it with another tray on the counter. I promptly asked for a manager to get a refund. When asked by the manager why I was requesting a refund, I told her, "The trays are dirty." She responded, "Things spill." I said, "You need to wipe those trays down each time before giving them to new customers." She responded, "They're busy and they wipe them down once a day at midday." This location is slow and has horrible customer service. Me and my friends went through the drive through and waited a while but it wasn't that big of a deal at first. After getting our food we were a couple minutes up the street and my friend bit into her burger and realized they gave her a burger with no patty (everything else was on it - tomatoes, mayonnaise, onions, etc.). We went back to ask them to fix it and although they did, the lady barely acknowledged us and never even apologized. read more

I used to really like DQ and this location is convenient for me. I still like their blizzards. Good selection and I've tried most of them and they are all good. I used to always like their chili dogs but the last time I are there a few days ago, apparently the chili had been simmering all day. Eating it was like eating a giant handful of salt. It was never like this before. I used to prefer the DQ chili dogs to Sonics but not after this experience. Maybe I'll try again another day to see if this was a fluke, but if they've changed the recipe to what it was the other day, no thank you. read more

Service is so slow at this Dairy Queen. The employees are nice unless you have a problem, then they take it all personal. I went to 'complain' about an issue I had. I was smiling, calm, and not putting fault or blame on anyone....just more of an fyi. The heavyset bleach platinum blonde with pink hair got defensive and argumentative with me. The ice cream at this DQ location isn't as good as most DQs. It is way too soft, it's not even appetizing. It seems as though it's not stored at a cold enough temperature. The service isn't the best at times and they aren't consistent with the amount of ice cream they put in cones. read more

I avoid this Dairy Queen location and go to other Dairy Queens in the area. This DQ store isn't consistent with their ice cream. At times the consistency of the ice cream is too soft, like it was sitting out or not stored at a cold enough temperature. Also the amount of ice cream they put in the cones varies. It's aggravating to pay the same amount as always but get a substantially smaller ice cream cone. read more

This place has its moments. The food can be slow at times. The staff lacks courtesy sometimes. The bathroom is awful! Dirty looking although it is new. Shame they only have one per gender. They're getting better but stilll have a ways to go. read more
