Decided to take my Gdaughter to Dairy Queen for Ice Cream. All she wanted was a Vanilla ice cream cone. First off I had to wait almost 7 minutes, after yelling out of someone was even in the back, for anyone to come help. The Cashier had a so-so attitude I was reading the menu and asking how much for the chicken strips and fries. I saw the $7 deal which is chicken strips, fries, drink and a blizzard. I asked if I could get a cone instead of the blizzard. She said No. So I asked how much for the meal with a cone. She said $15. After her attitude started to shift I decided to just leave. The food went straight into the trash. The fish sandwich had no tartar sauce, and the fish smell was so strong, it was sickening. I also ordered a large onion ring, which were pieces, that were not cooked all the way. That was $16 in the trash. Avoid ordering from this location! Go to McDonald's. read more

Today is National Ice Cream Day, so of course I wanted to celebrate by getting some ice cream. I pulled into the drive thru after visiting my uncle in the hospital. I waited a minute or so and the automated voice said that they had closed for the day. I was very confused because it was 8:39pm and there were two cars in front of me waiting for their food. I said out loud why are all the lights on if you are closed?!? I started to back up since I didn't want to wait and sit if I'm not getting anything. As I am reversing I heard a non recorded voice that told me she'd be with me in a minute...are you closed or not...I continued to reverse out and I decided to go to McDonald's for some ice cream. If you are not truly closed you need to change your message and if you are closed you need to turn off the drive thru lights off. I looked online and it says the dining room closes at 8pm, but drive thru is 9pm. Very disappointing location. Very disappointed in today's experience. I spent $40 on what looks like a cheap grocery store cake! We've had this cake before and it always looked like the one online. Why didn't I confirm what it looked like today before paying? Because you can't go inside anymore, even to look. I tried yesterday and no one came to the door. I called yesterday and today and after listening to their automated system, it just asks you to leave a voicemail. So, we used the drive-through and asked if they had this specific cake and was told yes. Paid, got the cake, and the picture attached is what we received. Adding a photo from their site as reference - No brownie toppings, chocolate drizzle or puffy white piping, just long thin streaky brown ones with blobs + freezer burn! Had to wait for someone to notice us still at the window to ask about the clear differences, only for the girl to tell me it will look different every time depending on who created it. I asked if she could at least toss some brownies on top to look close and she declined, stating that the inside would still taste the same. If you're going to complain about your customers , probably shouldn't do it in the drive through where the windows aren't soundproof. It doesn't take a lot of energy to be kind. I was a little slow with an answer I gave because the person who gave it to me didn't give me all the details, and the person running the drive through decided that was enough to be repeatedly rude to me. She misheard me multiple times through my order and I didn't mind, because I've worked drive through before and know how it can be. Then she acted like I changed my order when I went to the next window, rolled her eyes, complained about me, etc. I'm going to say I think SHE'S having a bad day, too. Decided to come back to this location since it's been awhile and it's a pretty hot day. Ordered a lemon-lime slush, mango freeze, cheese curds, and fries. The cheese curd tray was full of chicken skin bits but other than that, cheese curds were great! The fries fries were cold though. The freeze appeared to have weird dark bits. ** I recently purchased the same freeze from a different location and it did not have the bits so I'm a bit curious as to why this location has it. Went for a Blizzard fix and the drive-thru line was long. Ordered 4 different blizzards to make my wait worthwhile: Girl Scout Thin Mint Frosted Animal Cookie Cotton Candy New York Cheesecake Royal My favorite was the New York Cheesecake Royal. A but in the pricey side at $6.19 for a medium, but it did have chunks of cheesecake and strawberry sauce. The Girl Scout Thin Mint was disappointing...not minty enough and wasn't mixed well. The other two were good (more for kids). I was disappointed to see that all four of my blizzards didn't have a dome lid that you could eat from (a la a McFlurry). That's something DQ should really invest in. They gave me regular lids and one blizzard was overflowing and dripping all over the side of the cup. Also, since the line was long, it allowed me to observe the cashier handling everyone's money and credit cards, and then subsequently picking up the food and handing it to each car. Made me really question if that was a safe approach. They should have one person handling payments and someone else providing the food. read more

This location isn't great about getting your order right. If you order a specialty Blizzard that's supposed to come with four toppings, it might only have two. When I got a chicken strip basket, they didn't put in any toast. The chocolate brownie is really disappointing, because it's more like cake than brownie. But I do love the fudge-filled cookie. It's warm and chocolatey, and it has a delightful, pillowy soft texture. My only complaint is that when I order it with caramel sauce instead of chocolate, they charge an extra $0.60. read more

I love Dairy Queen but this one is awful!! The inside is still closed, you can't even sit down inside. That is if the inside is open and it's been closed for months at this point. Plus the inside is really dirty & disgusting!! They aren't open normal business hours, barely open at all. It takes way too long to go through drive thru and orders are regularly wrong. Anytime you go through the drive thru the workers don't talk to you at all, horrible customer service! The last time I was there I placed a mobile order and since I couldn't go inside to grab it because it was randomly closed I had to wait in the drive thru. When I got to the speaker I let them know I had a mobile order and they said the system was down and they couldn't see my order and made me place the order again. They charged me about $3 more than when I placed my mobile order. When I asked them how to get my money back for that mobile order they said they didn't know. I looked on the app and there's no way to request a refund, so I found the contact us page and filled out a lot of information to get my money back from being double charged. I got an email back and Cindy said she couldn't do anything and the manager of that store would have to refund it. I called the store at 12:51pm a few days later and they were closed so I left a voicemail with my info and never received a call back. On top of that the food I did get made me and someone else sick. I ended up calling my bank to dispute the transaction since nobody is responding or attempting to help me get my money back. I live really close to this Dairy Queen but I'm never going back to this location!! I will drive 15-20 mins to the other one if I even go back at all to a Dairy Queen!! I honestly don't know what's with all the bad reviews. I've been going here for years and have never been disappointed by my burger or sundae. I've had chicken strips that were disappointingly small once, but they were still tasty. And I'm pretty keen on clean and dining inside didn't notice anything nasty nor did the friend I went in with. There's been a couple of times I took a sip of my soda and it tasted like the syrup was out (which I always do before pulling out of the drive thru) but I mentioned it and they immediately gave me another flavor, no questions asked. This DQ is the absolute worst one I've ever been to. They are consistently slow, have piss poor attitudes, and now they have instituted mandatory and excessive menu up charges for extra items using the rising cost of wages and supplies due to COVID as their excuse. I went here on October 27th and ordered a large Reese's blizzard with extra candy and a peanut buster parfait with caramel and fudge with no nuts. Firstly they asked how many scoops of candy I wanted. I said "we'll, how many comes with the blizzard?" And they said 4, so I replied ok wouldn't the up charge be for double? And they were like, ok so 8 scoops? And I was like sure... I also ordered two large drinks. The total came to about $35 dollars. (For 1 blizzard, 1 parfait, and 2 lg drinks) Something was amiss. I pulled up to the window and asked why it was so much, they replied that it's a new policy to charge for every individual topping. I said well shouldn't double topping be just 1 charge and they said no. I asked to talk to the manager who was standing behind the drive through guy and instead of owning the situation they blamed the owners. So I said I don't want the extra toppings. Please remake it. So while they were remaking it they told me the new charge. It was still off Turns out they charge for each individual pump of caramel in the parfait too!!!!! I told them to remake that as well. Because I wasn't going to pay the outrageous up charges. So this owner is a genius. By pissing off his customers they actually lost profit having to remake each uncharged item. And I will never be back. On a side note, I looked at the receipt and in the confusion of remaking every item they also forgot to charge me for the blizzard. By my estimation this new policy cost the owner between 30 and 50 dollars. I understand it's tough times but Nicole and Diming customers is a sure fire way to end up like the Skippers and Arbys next door (spoiler: they closed down) Stay away!!!!! Perfect weather to stop by for some good ice cream, despite the fact that we waited almost 15 min in the drive thru.. it's worth the wait if you want your cravings to be fulfilled! Wish they had more employees for days that are warmer. Usually go for the blizzards but today we decided to get the classic hot fudge sundae, caramel sundae and dipped strawberry cake cupfection! The cake was a hit probably my favorite part in the cupfection. There was a little too much strawberries in syrup for me but at least they give you a whole bunch for people who do like a fully loaded sundae! Have been going to DQ for fifty some years. I've found they've been a pretty good fast food grill that provides the right combo of burgers and malted shakes that serves the cravings one gets. The one we've found in Renton is no different. Customer service has been polite and efficient for that business. Their chocolate marks are hard to beat. read more

If I could do a 0 star I would I'm actually in line at the drive through at 12:15 no one greeted me on intercom I've been saying hello for 5 min straight. I pull up to the drive through window and there are people currently inside but just not answering the drive through at all. The best part is they are making eye contact and just walking straight to the back. This is my favorite part someone finally came up to the window and when I asked what's going on I've been tryna make my order for 15 min he said " yeah what do you want" I said what was the reason why I couldn't make an order he said I was the only one here. Which was a lie because I've watched people walk in and around for like 10 min. I followed up by asking to speak to the manager and some guy came in with his high school track sweater and said we been dealing with things and started getting frustrated with me as if it was my problem. What I got was a chicken sandwich that looked like they put mayo on and tried to pull it all off but also didn't put the tomato and lettuce back. See picture. Absolutely ridiculous. My wife and I went once again to this location and again our food was wrong and we were over charged for it, we ordered a flamethrower burger, a cheeseburger meal with onion rings instead of fries, the worker said it would be extra to switch from regular fries, I agreed that was fine, (side note, for some reason they decided to have a landscaping and maintenance company come to do work at 8 during a dinner rush and the guy with the leaf blower didn't see mine or the car behind us and blew dirt all over us, after that I had to yell into the speaker so loud my voice started to crack because they were leaf blowing and pressure washing during business hours with a line of cars, wtf?) But finally after all that we were getting our food, we received our drinks twice, we informed the young worker there that another employee already gave us our drinks, so when we finally get our food I ask if it's all there because wife's hands are full and the other employee says yes. We get home and find out we got 2 small fries even though I ordered 1 large, and even though I was charged for the onion rings, they were not there. I can see why this place has an average of 2 stars. The place was nearly empty while we we there and yet the counter person would not accommodate a simple request that a dipped cone be made in a cup sans cone for my granddaughter without charging the higher price for a sundae. We found this surprising and a bit rigid since it is an accommodation made without hesitation at the DQ in our hometown of Carson City, NV. The new Dreamsicle flavor cone was terrible. Been going to this restaurant often lately. Most of the time there isn't anyone in, just me, and the people working there, are hit and miss, mostly miss. Why is it so hard for young people to smile, say hello, say thank you and when they do it's so forced and fake. Last night I went in and there were a few other customers and the employees there could not handle the very little demand. The girl taking the orders could barely walk around because she didn't have her shoes on properly, just dragged her feet around. Drove 5-7 mins to this location from the Tiffany Park neighborhood. Ordered a blizzard & via the drive thru. The sundaes looked great, thought it was weird this location didn't flip my blizzard, but I wanted to get my ice cream home ASAP. When I got home & put a spoon into the blizzard, the top was soft, so I threw it into the freezer. After I went back 20-30 mins later to spoon it from the bottom this time, it was liquid. The cup of the seasonal "Caramel Blonde Brownie Blizzard" also barely had any brownie in it. I ended up returning it, and asked for the free blizzard coupon, showing them the photo of the already covered blizzard. I was told by the staff and manager on shift they don't do that "because people don't like it, and we have crossed it off our menus," when I pressed why, I was told, "we are a franchise and don't, only the corporate locations do." I used to live in Redmond and that location flipped their blizzards and I've also lived in the Renton Highlands & that location does as well. This was my first visit back to this location in a year and last year, the only issue I had was too much chocolate in the "Cookie Jar Blizzard."
